I think this rule is really close to being accurate, however it's not nearly as cut-and-dry in real life. I think you have to read the situation/her tone. Her not actively planning a makeup doesn't mean she's not into you. In fact it probably denotes she doesn't want to do any chasing and you've gotta rise to the occasion by rescheduling.

When i write, I tend to delve into a deep sarcastic stream-of-consciousness style. A less sociopathic translation: I love James Bond. Not necessarily. During college, I had a hookup turn into much more than that, and eventually became a mature relationship. I wouldn't say anything more than something like "Going Out Tonight?", "Gonna see you tonight?", etc. Trying to lock him down before he knows you is a turn-off, so you're going to want to take it slow.
