Can someone please point out where i am wrong instead of downvoting?

I think the only point that's worth responding to there is that carbs are not good for you. Sure, they have a massive role to play in the obesity / diabetes epidemic. The rest of what you have said is drivel.

I don't think you can see the mistake that you have made - you pulled a 180 and defined "ethically defensible", just after you claimed that it was ethically defensible. Of course you're going to get a tautology, which is why that style of reasoning is just in bad philosophical taste. Suppose we define an act as"ethical" when it reduces the net amount of suffering in the world. Now is it defensible? Suppose we define "ethical" as obedience to God's word - now is it defensible? I'm pointing out th…

Of course not. It's just a matter of hurting less animals. It's impossible to be 100% vegan, but the little that you do does (quantifiably) go a longish way.

I asked if it followed logically from x being requisite for survival that x is ethically defensible. You then scrambled to make the two logically equivalent by redefining ethics to suit your point. That is shoddy reasoning. And you follow it up with ad hominems. QED, as they say.

So you can't respond to my argument and now attack the basis of ethics as a cop out? Suppose humans were the most evil thing that could ever exist: would their survival be ethically good? You desperately need to grow up and learn how to argue respectfully. Edit: You can't redefine ethics post hoc to substantiate your argument. It's just very poor reasoning and won't get you anywhere with anyone who is literate.

and having to take a supplement (it's really just b12) implies that killing animals is justifiable? Damn this logic is a bit too simple.

Requisite to survival does not imply ethically defensible. simple logic, huh?

Oh yes. First time i really see it emphasized on this sub - women have this masochism in them that reaches beyond nagging and dissatisfaction. They love fucking things up for the sake of it.

it really isn't. there are some very sound ethical reasons for becoming vegan, health benefits are a bit more murky. but the way people go around shaming and attempting to convert people really annoys me too. "Animal Liberation" is a good book that lays the reasons out logically. Edit: Maybe some rebuttals instead of downvotes, pussies?

Disagree. They are capable of rational thought, but do not value rationality as deeply as men do - it's really a matter of their motivations. They are evil, not stupid (fundamentally)

Lemme tell you summin. Guy passed out on the side of the road. I stop to see if he's OK. Nope, just drunk - breathing is perfect. Women stops her car, asks if he is OK - I say "no he's just drunk, he'll be OK". She says "well call the cops then." Fountains of compassion, aren't they.

Schoppie is always in the back of my mind :) But even in his day - Kant for example was something of a celebrity in Europe. These days NOT EVEN MEN can name a single prominent philosopher, though they do surely exist (Peter Singer comes to mind). We are at a unique point in history because of feminism. This kind of contempt for the works of men is unique to our era, I would say.

I was referring to the debut of the Rite of Spring. People rioted because the actual music was so unprecedented - music does not captivate people in the same way anymore, because it doesn't captivate women at all. Why do you feel the need to "correct" me in such a petty way? It was a rant, not a doctoral dissertation. BRUH

The same phenomenon that accounts for fewer suicides during wartime? I see your point, but what I am saying is that scientists and artists are held in low esteem because women hold sway in popular culture.

I'm talking about the sentiment, if you see my point.

Well, not really. It was mostly war and enemy invaders that did it. Maybe you can give an example seeing as though you have "read up on some history"?

You can't prove that logic is a valid way to understand the world with logic. Thus, you have to take it's validity as axiomatic / as a value - Sam describes it as "you can't derive an is without an ought" contra Hume, if you get me.

Sam Harris gave a really interesting perspective on this - it is inherently bound up with morality on his view. No surprise that women don't take to it, I guess...

Put it this way - do you think that someone who doesn't really listen to music is capable of any "higher" emotion? That is the capacity that is lacking in women.

The problem is that this kind of change will be thought of as a regression to the "Dark Ages of Misogyny". We tricked ourselves into regarding our overweening respect for women as "progress".

The most powerful MGTOW experience was thinking about my NAWALT's behaviour, watching it all unravel and ... totally lost my sex drive when it hit me. Women's looks and bodies just seem so gratuitous and false now. Find your NAWALT and just... look closely.

It's even sadder what they have done to Buddhism. The Buddha only allowed women to ordain as a concession, and (correctly) anticipated that it would be the downfall of the religion.
