Are you going to say that that kid is wrong and that, regardless of what he thinks himself, he was raped and victimized? Because he sure as hell doesn't seem to think so. Some people think they're wolves in human bodies. That doesn't change the reality of human psychology.

Are you saying that it's impossible for a minor to fully understand and consent to a sexual relationship with an adult? Yes, that's what I'm saying. I think that implies that it's also impossible for a minor to fully understand and consent to a sexual relationship with another minor. Two minors who have sex with one another are exploring their sexuality at a mutual disadvantage, unlike a fully developed adult who is engaging with a minor. Do you understand the difference between being tried as a…

The whole problem with minor/adult relationships is that it is 100% possible for the relationship to be entirely consensual. Fuck off, you degenerate scum. Go back to NAMBLA.

Please, what a load of utter shite. Hillary Clinton is trying to paint Trump as a misogynist (a tactic members of the MRM should be very familiar with). This debate with Sanders is a big "fuck you" to her hypocrisy and blatant refusal to debate, and the donation to women's health issues is the icing on the cake. There isn't actually anything wrong with donating to women's health issues anymore than there is with donating to men's health issues. Did you pout and wring your hands when Gamergate di…

In fact, my entire argument is in regards to combat which is why I originally said my daughter would have less of a chance at surviving then my boys. In that case, in the event of a draft, your daughter would be given a job appropriate to her skill set. Or did you think that all jobs in the military are combat-related? No one is arguing to relax the physical requirements for military combat roles just so some women can fulfill them. We, in fact, argue against it regularly. If your daughter was a…

If we sent out an army of women to fight an army of men we get our butts kicked. Small word of advice: If you don't understand how the draft works, and what sort of jobs the military offers (and in what quantity they offer them), then you should probably do some research before forming knee-jerk opinions. Un-cuck yourself.

NEWS FLASH!, if you're not okay with sending your daughters to war but you're okay with men being drafted, YOU'RE NOT A FEMINIST, THAT'S JUST SEXISM! But, according to feminists, you can't be sexist against men.

By that logic, people aged between 25 and 100 aren't accepting responsibility, and thus don't deserve equal rights. Not very good at that whole thinking thing, are you? If both genders are required to register for the draft, that means that all citizens are required to register. The only exception are people born long before the law is implemented and immigrants. Discriminating based on gender alone is retarded. Anyone who meets the physical requirements for combat roles should be required to se…

I think our military can make good use of both men and women, and find an ideal place for a wide range of people in a variety of roles, each based on their own individual capability. If a woman can meet the physical demands of any given role, then yes, she absolutely should be required to do so in the event of a draft. Either that, or the draft should be abolished entirely. A double standard based purely on gender is unacceptable.
/r/MensRights12/05/16 07:45 PM

Equal rights entail equal responsibility. If you cannot accept the latter, then you don't deserve the former. Also, bitching? I think not. This is the best article to come out of a feminist rag in a long while. It perfectly encapsulates the attitude of feminism and the broader social justice movement.

Its easy to not actually care I'm afraid I don't know how to quantify that, so I probably can't argue for or against this position very effectively. I agree that it's easy to pretend to care about or ignore an issue until it directly affects you. I still think that speaks to one's character, however, provided that one was previously aware of the issue before it began to affect them. In the case of this author, we can quote her hypocrisy directly: However, if I had sons, I could at least take com…

What pisses me off is she will say that in one breath but would be okay with sending her son to war. I've often wondered if people like this actually have any sons. The complete hypocrisy and apparent lack of empathy for males leads me to think that a very large portion of them don't.

Riiight because one journalist's interpretation of a study should be accepted as truth. "Researchers suggest girls are better behaved in class and this influences how teachers perceive their work." For a teacher, you have terrible reading comprehension. You also make the article's case in your following sentence: You are fully in denial if you can't accept that girls tend to try harder in school than boys. How does that account for teachers grading boys who perform equally well more harshly? Unl…

Refuting an international study about teacher bias with your own personal experience as a teacher is probably not the best of arguments. There are other people in this very thread claiming to be teachers who testify to the exact opposite of what you say here.

Boys schools could force other schools act more fairly and thus be a much better solution. More likely, it would open up boys schools to attacks from gender ideologues ("teach men not to rape" types, as well as those lobbying for preferential treatment of women). Anonymous grading eliminates the problem of gender bias in grading, which is the problem being discussed in this article. Regarding broader gender discrimination, there may not be a cut and dry solution to this beyond sweeping social an…

I'm 100% positive that gender segregation isn't "the only solution", or even a particularly good one. Anonymous grading has already been suggested in the comments section, for example. Segregating boys and girls into separate schools introduces a whole slew of problems, not the least of which are funding concerns (resources being distributed among twice as many schools in a system that's already grossly underfunded, the logistics of ensuring boys schools and girls schools have access to the same…

Your first study is 20 years old and hidden behind a paywall, so I doubt you've even read it. Regardless, while it's true that men tend to have greater aptitude when it comes to SAT scores, the trend is reversed in college, where women begin to outperform men. Your second study is a thesis on the importance of spatial reasoning in STEM fields (and talent scouting for such), and doesn't support your claims that men are superior to women in mathematical and logical reasoning. Jesus Christ, this article is fucking pathetic. The writer spends literally four paragraphs talking about his experiences with sexual objectification, then uses the remaining twelve paragraphs to hype him up sexually. As usual, when it comes to men talking about the way they feel, society glosses it over or outright ignores them.
/r/MensRights01/04/15 03:20 AM

It's a reasonable concern because it's unreasonable to consider women as fully capable adults with legally-backed reproductive autonomy. These are the standards upheld by society, and maintained by feminist activism.
/r/MensRights01/04/15 02:59 AM

The explanation is simple; feminist reality is different from actual reality, which is why almost all of their major talking points are based on lies and skewed/false statistics.

It follows the pattern that it's OK to drag men through the mud if a case brings attention to the plight of women, even if they mud dragging wasn't appropriate for this specific group of men. That's exactly what some hardline feminists believe. Context.

Yes, because the suggestion that the pendulum has gone too far into the other direction means, of course, that we'll have to go all the way back the other way. Of course not, but we should be happy to challenge and rebut the feminist narrative about gender and its changing role in society over the past several decades. Plus, I looked at his other comments in other threads and he comes across like a legit troll. Hence my reply. Well, troll response or not, the sentiment they expressed is a common criticism levied against the MRM. Why is that any worse than discriminating based on making babies? Which apparently you have no problem with. What the fuck are you rambling about, son? It's never progress when a gov't is allowed to force somebody to provide something against their will. Business owners are not the only people who are participating in capitalism, which may come as a surprise to you. Correct, but business owners are the ones who create jobs and fuel economic growth. Your rhetoric is an apt demonstration of the naivete of socialists/communists; you think everyone can be happy all the time with every aspect of their lives. Based on my observations, the left can hold its tongue, the right can't. Leftists are used to having their opinions validated by the media and their peers. On an unconscious level, they realize that speaking frankly on certain issues will isolate them and mark them as outcasts to at least some parts of their social network. Surely you realize that the topic of Men's Rights falls in this category, no?
/r/MensRights03/02/15 06:08 AM

Personally, I criticize leftists because they are nearly universally mush-headed ideologues fanatically proselytizing the socialist religion. Social Engineering is a product of, and favorite tool of, the left. But the biggest reason I make fun of leftists, is because their chosen religion ALWAYS ends in totalitarian misery, yet they persist (much like feminists) in saying the failure is due to not doing it enough, rather than the foundational thinking behind leftism is flat out fucking nuts. Wel…

try not to target feminism with your material (as tempting as it is) just talk about the issues separate from it. That way you won't get the feminist monkeys attack you. Yeah, better ignore the elephant in the room because your political enemies have made doing so controversial. Playing into your opponent's victories is always a good strategy, as it lets them control the dialogue. /s

There's no doubt that feminism's momentum has increased in that time period, but it still hasn't reached the critical mass you might think it has. We've reached the point where U.S. feminists have successfully shifted the burden of proof onto the accused in select states and are now pushing for this shift to be implemented on a national level. In Europe, many countries have implemented women's shortlists for political candidacy. In India, gender neutral rape and sexual assault laws were recently…

I have seen in my own social circles quite a few females cooling it back on their feminist beliefs, as more and more of the toxic stories come to light. I like to believe that, at heart, the vast majority of people are reasonable and egalitarian, which is why they fall for the feminism=equality bullshit, but which is equally why they will take a step back once they start to see the reality. This is wishful thinking that has permeated the MRM since at least as far back as the mid-90's, and nothin…

Alright, the MRM has been pushing this narrative that Feminism is dying for a while, now. I'm going to be brutally honest, here; this is complete bullshit. By comparing the 2013 and 2015 yougov polls that monitor the number of people who identify as feminists, we see that in 2013 23% of women and 16% of men identified as feminists. Compare that to the 2015 numbers: As of this year, 38% of women and 18% of men identify as feminists. No matter how you do the math, this is a huge increase in suppor…

Make an archive of all the high profile false accusations we've seen recently, including from UVa. Show people that this isn't a good idea based on the overwhelming empirical evidence, and they will (hopefully) oppose it. If that fails, then point out the inevitable and egregious individual rights violations that will occur as a result of this system. That way, it's feminists who become the "bad guys".
/r/MensRights15/01/15 05:49 PM
1

"People" (the huffington post) will view anything we do in the worst possible light. Except it wasn't just the Huffington Post or other anti-MRAs who made this value judgement. This turned a lot of people against the MRM. Pointing out the failure of a "trust and believe" based reporting system is the right thing to do. Consider, then, that there may be good and bad ways of doing this. You don't counter accusations of being violent by punching the accuser in the face.
/r/MensRights15/01/15 05:33 PM
1

When was this? Just last year. Look up the Occidental College Rape report incident. It points out that there's no due process involved at all and that the data being collected by them is meaningless. People will view it as an attempt to tamper with results and impede research. It plays into the hands of the MRM's opponents by making us look like a group of reactionaries attempting to impede progress at any cost.
/r/MensRights15/01/15 05:23 PM
6

The way to deal with databases like this is simple: Flood them. Okay, I'm just going to point this out; the last time something like this was attempted by the MRM, and specifically /r/MensRights, it ended in terrible publicity for us and almost got this subreddit banned. More importantly, it helped to shift the Overton window towards feminism and away from men's issues, as the label of "MRA" became more closely associated with "misogynist" by the general public. This is not a good idea.
/r/MensRights15/01/15 09:54 AM

Look up "Dr. Matt Taylor". I can almost guarantee it will be the first result. If that fails, do a search on "shirtgate".
/r/MensRights14/01/15 07:20 PM

Easy: To stop men from spreading their legs ("manspreading"), bumping into people on the street ("manslamming"), offering their opinions to women ("mansplaining"), or wearing shirts that feminists don't like ("muh microaggressions").

Of course not. They think their actions were entirely justified, and the fact of the fraternities' innocence will be hand-waved. Note that all fraternities were suspended as a result of this incident; a reminder that collective guilt is a cornerstone of feminist philosophy.
/r/MensRights12/01/15 10:37 PM
2

Not necessarily. There is still a strong push to change campus policy based on the claim that the current environment "enables violence against women."
/r/MensRights12/01/15 10:34 PM
1

Does that include the court proceedings to determine whether or not a case will go to trial?
/r/MensRights08/01/15 10:08 PM

Maintaining the anonymity of both parties necessarily involves withholding critical details about the case from public scrutiny. This makes judicial corruption much more plausible. The result would not be a "secret trial", per se, but it is a dangerous step in that direction.

I reached the point where the adult director asked the children (according to the translation in the subtitles) to "caress" the girl - I immediately switched off at that point. That's fucking sick. Yeah, right, I'm sure that the girl was positively defiled by the dirty male touching her. And besides, he didn't even get her enthusiastic consent first, so it's basically sexual assault amirite? Oh, and it involved children, so something something pedophilia.
/r/MensRights06/01/15 07:08 PM

Yep. Feminists love to perpetuate the idea that men are violent. A video where people act surprised that men defy this bigoted stereotype is the product of a culture of misandry.

Nothing is stopping anyone else from doing so, should there be a market for said drinks. I'm satisfied you're a troll now Yes, it's quite apparent that you come to all sorts of idiotic conclusions.

I'm sure you use the same argument often. "we aren't banning men's rights activists, we just won't let them meet here. Or talk here. Implying that I'm not an MRA Implying that someone is preventing people from doing something here Cool autism, bro.
/r/MensRights26/12/14 10:05 AM

Your argument is "technically you can buy it elsewhere and carry it onto the university without getting arrested." Without any consequences whatsoever. Also, the university could choose to reinstate it's supply without any consequences whatsoever, should it change its mind. It's a ban bro, get with it Nope, you're just too autistic to understand freedom of association and supply side economics, and how a ban interferes with those.

Victims. Female victims. Ahh, right, sorry. The poor dears. Can't a female teacher even have sex with her underage students without being judged by our patriarchal society? This is why I need feminism.
/r/MensRights26/12/14 08:45 AM
24

Well, they're not wrong. That is typically how the word is used, because we rarely even acknowledge the existence of female rapists, much less call them what they are. See: The vast majority of news reports on female teachers having sex with their underage students (whether those students are male OR female).

Yes, they are asking the university to ban the sale of the drink. Ahh yes, truly the most sophisticated of counter-arguments: "They are so!"
/r/MensRights26/12/14 06:05 AM

Instead they are asking the university to ban it. No, a ban would mean that the university would not be allowed to sell the product, even if they wanted to. You're equating convincing the university not to sell a product with prohibiting them from selling a product.
/r/MensRights25/12/14 11:55 PM

I'm sorry, but I just reject that the university/student relationship is the same as a business/consumer one, though they have some similarities. Perhaps you could explain what you feel is different. Compare a university, which you claim acts as a cornerstone market for students, to a business in a remote location, which may act as a sole supplier of certain goods to locals.
/r/MensRights25/12/14 11:10 PM
1

I'm just saying I think the context of this being a university is important, and makes it much closer to a ban in practice. [. . .] due to the nature of many campuses I think it is more difficult for students to simply "shop elsewhere" I don't agree with your line of reasoning. Do you think that businesses in more remote/less accessible areas have less freedom of choice in regards to the products that they sell? Whether or not we want to use the word "ban", it seems shitty, to me, to get somethi…

/r/MensRights25/12/14 10:07 PM

you're taking away user choice No, you're allowing suppliers to choose what they want to supply. Consumers can still choose to purchase the product from alternate suppliers, should the aforementioned supplier choose not to distribute it.
/r/MensRights25/12/14 09:02 PM
1

Actually, they have you there. Banning SodaStream would involve some sort of executive order to prohibit it. Making a case as to why a business owner shouldn't carry something, and said business owner making the free choice to discontinue their supply, is not a ban. GamerGate, for example, is not trying to ban advertising on Gawker Media. They've simply been successful in convincing Gawker's advertisers that advertising on their sites is not in their best interest.

They perpetuate it and worsen it by spreading inflated statistics on threats to women. Yes, I agree with that 100%, and had intended to imply that with my initial response to you. I would say that capitalizing on something inevitably perpetuates it. However, I also consider it important to acknowledge that the source of this phenomenon is far older and more widespread than feminist ideology. Feminism is simply a vehicle by which these old fears spread.

Alright, so I read what was left of your exchange, and I'm not really surprised that people reacted the way that they did. Your opening statement - "Women get away with everything, legally and socially" - is the same sort of collectivist thinking that you accuse your detractors of. Something I don't understand is why a feminist would want to end due process? If they (as in the feminists) are successful as a country to end due process for laws against the other gender, do they not know that it will hurt then as it happens to their husband, brother, it soon? Actually, if feminists are correct, and society considers a women's perspective and experiences to be less valuable than men's, the removal of due process would hurt women more than men. Just another little irony of femi…
