99.9% effective is pretty much always. You're not that special that you fall into .01%. This happened by design. Culture/society is almost dictated from the top down. What gets seen and heard the most gets reinforced until it becomes the new normal. Look at where these messages are coming from (t.v. and movies are the main source, but also academia, especially in higher education). They're out there. Just REALLY hard to find. I was lucky to find my wife. She plays very little fuck fuck games. It happened twice in our 8 years, and I shut that shit down quick.
