I know the link you sent says you don’t have to live together, but that is limited to BC, not Canada, and it’s a sensationalist title as later in the same article it says one of the main factors is how long you lived together. Suffice to say, yes, if you have a kid, told everyone that you were married, filed taxes as a married couple and had an ongoing sexual relationship for multiple years it is possible to get a common law marriage if you actually lived together for less than 2 years. Do you have any idea how hard it is to be common law married in US? A lot of states don’t have it at all. Most that do require you to actually tell people you are married in addition to being together for a significant amount of time. Many even require joint tax filings. No one accidentally gets common law married to a girl that they didn’t have a very serious relationship with and a coming king of assets.

Again, depends. Women get sooo many offers for dates. a successful women is in her 30s she doesn’t necessarily have time to go out with the 100 guys that ask her out online each day. I think it depends on the person asking. If a women is an attorney or a doctor or owns a successful business she may just want someone with a similar life path, goals, and intelligence. If it’s an unemployed women asking than that is a huge red flag.
