They did this in Australia in an effort to ferret out racist and sexist hiring practices. They found both... racism and sexism against white men. When the CVs were randomized, the CVs of white men were selected more than when the race and gender of the applicant were known. Instead of concluding that racism and sexism aren't a problem after all and we can all chill now, they concluded that anonymizing CVs was not an effective way to combat it and something else should be tried instead.

I'm pretty sure she's the type to fool around on you anyway. If she's got that sort of opinion about her market value, then she's probably pretty confident she can find a 10 to settle down with at the drop of a hat as soon as she starts showing signs of baby rabies. I don't see her having any misgivings about cheating or "trading up".

See, you're clearly a rapist. What you're supposed to do is find her father (good luck) or her brother and have him arrange a formal introduction like in Victorian times. Except the modern equivalent would be to have your lawyer negotiate an amicable legal agreement which strictly stipulates the topic and the duration of the conversation. See, this is because women are frail and weak and in need of constant protection from everything - especially men.

Do you think she'd have any qualms wrangling away your kids and your stuff in a divorce? Is it really any wonder why marriage is in the state it's in?

Obviously I spend it on myself. Every single time I see this guy he brings it up. I just don’t know why it bothers him so much. Remember these wise words "A man with one watch knows what time it is. A man with two watches is never really sure." - Philosoraptor I reckon he needs you to think the way he does because he isn't doing a good job of fooling himself... he's not confident enough to be okay with people entertaining contradictory opinions... Sounds like he's looking for ways to convince hi…

Teachers frequently pride themselves on being able to predict the future of children in their care. The women responsible for drugging my friends would probably see it as a case of "I told you so!" with some smug expression on their faces. The punchline being, and probably self-evidently so, that they're not sitting idly by wagering on some kid's future without taking actions that might effect the outcome. They've pegged some of the kids as problems and, intentionally or unintentionally, take ac…

I was in elementary school in the late 80's and early 90's and I quite literally watched half the boys in my class being drugged with Ritalin I was one of them. My parents told me much later that I'd finish my work early, get bored, and start bothering the other students. Instead of giving me more work to keep me busy like my parents suggested, they gave me drugs (ritalin). There were teachers telling my parents that I'd be selling actual drugs by the 10th grade because I was just so out of cont…

I'm going to completely agree with /u/alanbrito787 and I just want to add that if a girl says something like that, it's a red flag. If she's thinking about your passport, it's probably because she's looking to hook up with a guy solely to immigrate somewhere. There's no other reason I can think of to care about your SO's passport. That's a mark against her, not you.

That's kind of amazing, actually. I'm several years older than she is and I'm starting to get some wrinkles, but aside from that, I could be 25. She's let herself go and that seems to be one of the major problems these days. Chicks put in effort for a while to snag a guy, but once the hook is set, a lot of them are happy to just become nasty slobs for some reason... it's the old bait and switch if I've ever seen it!

When will they start telling girls that whoring around in college and through their 20s is not good? Never. This is a thing I find really interesting about the way society is changing. There are people who really push for all this polygamy and stuff, but then they expect to be able to settle down and enjoy a traditional marriage. Guess what, some guys aren't into that. The moment this fact comes up, it's suddenly our fault for not participating. Relationships are a two-way road, my friend. You c…

You haven't come across them yet but as you grow in wealth and success they will start showing up more and more. You'll think NAWALT I met a girl back in college before I started getting anywhere. She was cool. The more I have going for me over time, the more suspicious I am of new people... I don't even mess with people who don't have anything to show for the last 10-15 years of their lives. You'd better have some savings and some skills and a good job... I actually feel pretty good walking aro…

Don't use business sources? But that's like... what's behind all this, isn't it? Looking at business sources can tell us, for example, whether women are as qualified as men going for the same position on average... or whether as many women even apply! Expecting equal outputs without even considering the inputs is insanity!

I like that he did because in the story, he plays by their rules and still dominates them with almost no effort. They can't beat him even though they've applied a handicap to themselves. They're still inferior because they're of lesser quality!

The thing is... fighting for your life is physically demanding. That's why there are standards. It's not like sports where there's women's war and the real war. Lowering physical standards means Australian men and women are going to be in situations they aren't physically fit to be in. Just so happens that men are more physically and temperamentally cut out for combat on average. It's like... what we do... throughout history.

This is still all wrong. I do apologize that this venue, reddit, is not a good forum to discuss this at length, since it is a fascinating topic and deservedly so. Thanks for having a look at it in any case. I thought it was a misunderstanding, but I've apparently got things wrong. I did let everyone know I was just armchair philosophizing on the subject ;) I agree it's a fascinating topic, though. Do you have references I could read or watch to learn more? Women choose for sexually appealing features in men but this does not mean that women are choosing features that will be copied in the next generation, nor that will be enhanced in the next generation. Those are features that appear due to survival of the next generation. I don't think we're saying different things. When I say "selection" or "selective pressure", I'm not talking about a conscious process. Those are terms used to describe the selection of traits. If a lizard (I don't mean an indi…

I had to pay for sex with my commitment. I'm going to dust off my armchair and philosophize (a little). I see more and more parallels in reality with what Jordan Peterson talked about regarding the "dominance hierarchy". The way it relates here is that over the last million years or whatever of evolution, women have selected men who can identify and climb the dominance hierarchy. So you've got selective pressure for the male archetype of being competitive and ambitious and basically just have an…

"Oops, lol, you dragged it out of me. I committed perjury to put my husband in jail. But he was a jerk, so watev, amirite!" I'd say give her his sentence. Not the rest of his sentence, but his full sentence... except that next time a psycho piece of shit like her decides to fuck over her husband, the rest of us just won't ever hear that it was a lie. I get where you're coming from, but I approach things a little differently. Instead of calling it a 1-dimensional sliding scale for how "personally responsible" you were for being transgressed in some way, I prefer to think of it in terms of risk exposure. So we have two axes now. The x-axis is your risk exposure, and the y-axis is some product of your assailant's motive and opportunity. In the case of the home invasion, if you took reasonable steps (i.e. locks on your doors, etc) and you were s…

Mine was mid-130s. I found that moving to a larger city provided the stimulation I was looking for. I can live in the outer suburbs as close to nature as I like, but still get into town when I want. The neat part is that, with the a high enough population density, you're almost certain to find a group for your favorite avocations. Then, living on the outskirts of town, you're free to be as sociable or as unsociable as you like. Seriously. It's a different ball game moving from a town of 40,000 t…

Do you play the game where you imagine the capabilities of someone in your position on the other end of the Gaussian distribution? I looked mine up one time... it's unlikely he'd be able to operate buttons or tie his shoes. So you say the difference between "can't tie his shoes" and "normal" is the same difference between "normal" and me. But then you say it's that difference again between me and Einstein and that difference again between Einstein and Newton. That's some crazy shit!

It doesn't even make sense. "I'm a CEO who would rather dump lava in the river and pay the fine because it's cheaper! MWAHAHA. But for some mysterious reason, I'm happy to hire dudes even though they're 50% more expensive." My ass! People who believe that are idiots. If women were so much cheaper, no guys would have jobs. So that feeds back in with the feminism point where "the patriarchy" is so bent on fucking women over that they'd rather eat that huge extra cost of hiring a bunch of dudes eve…

There you have it. All uniquely female experiences. /s You know, they had a panel discussion after one of the airings of The Red Pill and one of the feminists on the panel said something along the lines of "Sure, it was important to protect the women back in those days so they could serve as breeding vessels to produce more soldiers!" and I was like ... go on... but she stopped there, failing to mention that while a woman's job was to produce more soldiers (men), that a soldier's job was to basi…

I think it's important to point out that diet and exercise don't work for some people for the same reason that driving your car more and putting in less fuel won't empty the gas tank. It's because they're perpetual motion machines. More efficient than the Carnot engine. It's really that simple.

I think this goes to your previous comment. I had an experience kind of like that last year. I met a girl and pretty much lost it. We were head over heels for each other. In the end, she never did anything wrong except show that she wasn't as ambitious as I was and she couldn't seem to understand that it was going to take a solid couple of months to finish my dissertation. Her personality was great. She was upbeat and agreeable pretty much all the time, and she was great in the sack. I'm still n…

I don't know about leaving "game" behind. I began to think of "game" differently when I saw someone who I thought really had it figured out. To me, game means being interesting and productive, a gentleman and a good conversationalist... it means being aware of fashion so you can dress appropriately for the occasion, keeping your place neat and clean in case you have unexpected visitors, and knowing how to cook pretty well and healthily. To me, game means really having your shit together as an ad…

You're literally just making the whole system less effective when you put people in jobs they can't do properly. In general, men and women can do the same jobs. There really are some edge cases where either men or women are more suited either because of their physicality or their temperaments. It's just egotistical to pretend this isn't the case.

Nobody objects to female officers/firefighters/etc. They object to lowering standards to accommodate them because those standards are there to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the person doing the job. If some chick can run into a burning house, throw me over her shoulder, and get me to safety, then I'm happy to have her. If she can't, then get me someone who can. Whoever meets the standards can have the job. Just don't lower the standards because they're important.

I'm impressed with how put together you are on all this. Just out of curiosity, what kinds of attitudes to people come with? Are people generally out to hook up for the night or are some of them looking for something more serious? When you've been out with a girl, do you ever think to yourself that you've found someone you could get serious about or has it always just been casual/recreational? In the same vein, do you ever find that a girl develops a crush on you and if so, how do you deal with …

High refractive index? I'm with you, though. There are so many examples of women being up their own asses. I'm very new to all of this, but it really resonates. There are so fucking many who are so up their own asses. Especially in my part of my city. It's fucking irritating. If there's a guy walking by, it's "the nod" all day. Dudes just saying "Hi". Reminds me of an experience I had at the airport last week. I ask this lady for help because the robot conveyor belt thing has told me to reposition my bag several times.
