A prominent example is that universities are supposedly sexist because much more men get accepted than woman. But the fallacy happens because more women apply to subjects with a higher competition. To put it in numbers, when 1000 men and 1000 woman apply and 450 men apply for X and 550 men apply for Y while 900 women apply for x and 100 for Y. In Germany, 11 people got killed by the police in 2018, if we take into account that the us has 4 times the population of Germany , thats 44 people. That is about 1/20 of the usa and significantly fewer. Since the german police does not kill too few people (or else we'd hear about it because many policeman or civilians would be killed) the us police kills definitely too much 20 times more is more than a coincidence.	/r/MensRights	27/09/20 04:06 PM

In my country, the police kill about 1 person per year. And btw I only think 96% of men initiate a "threatening police encounter" because men are seen as more threatening bc of sexism (of the police bc they think woman are less threatening and of how men are often raised that they have to prove themselves everywhere) .
