Why Young Men Aren't Growing UpThank you for the thoughtful response. | /r/MensRights | 20/01/24 09:35 PM
Why Young Men Aren't Growing UpSo, I'm a bit of a newcomer to this sub. I live in a fairly left leaning city and rub elbows with people far more to the left than me. I'll be honest, though. A lot of the concerns I see in this sub I don't actually see when talking to real-life feminists. This disparity has me confused. Can you explain what you mean by the feminist merit system? And, out of curiosity, is this something you've dealt with personally, or is it something you've only been warned about? I'm trying to understand how w… | /r/MensRights | 20/01/24 01:28 PM
Why Young Men Aren't Growing UpThe problem with a meritocracy is that, unless everyone agrees on what deserves merit, it is absolutely impossible to implement. For example, if you disagree with my value system and therefore don't earn merit in my meritocracy then, to you, it's not a meritocracy. Merit is too subjective a concept to base a system of fairness on. | /r/MensRights | 20/01/24 11:43 AM
| -3 | If women can't consent when they're drunk, and it's rape, then shouldn't it be illegal for women to drink alcohol? But the logic is backwards. In one case the person committing the crime is drunk and in the other case the victim is the crime is drunk. The two situations aren't analogous. They have the same elements, but the relationships between the elements are inverted. So, by all means, use logic... but only if you don't get it wrong. | /r/MensRights | 20/01/24 06:59 AM |
Why Young Men Aren't Growing UpSorry bub, but this is the classic case of oppressor misdirection. You're a victim of class warfare not sex warfare. | /r/MensRights | 19/01/24 08:16 PM
Why Young Men Aren't Growing UpDoesn't this, then, seem like a great time to find a solution that works for everyone? | /r/MensRights | 19/01/24 08:13 PM

Why tf are there so many feminist trolls in this sub?I find it interesting that in my circles this form of harmful feminism is very rare. It does exist, but doesn't seem to stick around for very long. I hear a lot about harmful feminism online, though. My guess is that it gets disproportionate representation because it's sensational. There's also the possibility that it's mostly disingenuous trolls trying to create division. In beginning to think this more and more. What else could justify the disconnect between my online and offline experiences w… | /r/MensRights | 21/04/21 03:02 PM
Why tf are there so many feminist trolls in this sub?I'm sorry you had to go through that. I went through a very similar abusive relationship where I was also labelled as the abuser. It's a very isolating experience. Fortunately my friends recognised I wasn't who she claimed. Like I said in another comment, the "asshole" trait is crosscutting. There are assholes in every demographic. We can't let them get in the way of people trying to coexist peacefully. And peaceful coexistence is ultimately what this group and feminists want. We want to be resp… | /r/MensRights | 21/04/21 02:18 PM
Why tf are there so many feminist trolls in this sub?I'm sorry your experience was poor. I think it's important to remember there are assholes in every demographic and we shouldn't blame groups en mass for the behaviour of a few bad actors. Especially since it's so easy to create false flag examples. | /r/MensRights | 21/04/21 02:11 PM
Why tf are there so many feminist trolls in this sub?Nice false dichotomy there bud. | /r/MensRights | 21/04/21 11:42 AM
| -13 | Why tf are there so many feminist trolls in this sub?Have you guys ever spoken to a feminist in person? I have plenty of feminist friends and none of them do the crazy shit I see equated with feminism here. There is a very real disconnect and I'm curious where it comes from. | /r/MensRights | 21/04/21 11:38 AM |
