I am. When the divorce started, I did everything I could to keep the peace and make it as painless as possible. It was hard, and I wanted to lose it on her a few times, but I tried to keep it civil. I gave her the house, but she didn’t take my retirement or investments, we have 50/50 custody. We live less than a mile an away so I can see my kids when ever I want. I know this is the rare exception, but it works. We are both remarried and making it work.

I’m about 3 yrs out from mine and I have some of the same issues. I have also really struggled with motivation and energy. I feel fine with the divorce, but I am struggling with the after effects that it caused

It’s hard, nothing anyone says will help. Those feelings will just slowly go away one day. I was out running the streets, going through girls like crazy thinking it would help, but I think the only thing that really helped was time.

I went through something similar. I was more mad about being a part time dad than I was leaving her. Being a dad is the one thing I’m decent at and she tried to take that from me. It sucks to hear, but time helps more than anything. I thought hooking up with girls would help, but it made me feel worse because I was hurting their feelings, I was just looking for anything to make me feel better. But time has helped more than anything.
