I commend you on the specificity. However, for the Deuteronomy verse, at least, a quick search shows that the severing of limbs was used to symbolically represent payment to an offended party, or separation from something/someone. That's the 'context' I was referring to. Perhaps you should take a little more context into account before making judgments.

Since you are obviously an expert on religion, can you show me exactly, in the original texts, where the wife-beating instructions are for a few of these major religions, along with the context that verifies your claims?
