I think the problem here is that women get white-knighted for defending themselves in the same way. If you dig enough you will find stories about women punching or stabbing their partner because they can't take it anymore in a heated moment. From how the article is build and the comments are written, this isnt satire. Satire means it's blantly over the top to indicate that it is not to be taken seriously. I'm still suprised at how suffering from a mental illness is still a valid excuse for murdering your children. Also this isnt a case where the woman might have shaken a baby too hard by mistake or frustration, she dunked the heads of the boys under water and the 9 year old reportedly hit back to stay alive.
