Yup, this has been well observed to safely say its a fact. The more you date and or grow in your relationship, you learn very fast that "icks" can virtually be anything at any given moment. I just blow them off like "uh-huh." Cuz I've been hit with the "you use too many emojis" or "you clear your throat a lot," "you bat your eyelashes a lot," and I'm like.... okay? And?

Wasn't this experiment done already? We already know that women receive significantly more attention in dating than men; that's a non-starter. That's just the way it is and the way it's always gonna be.

Yeah. It’s just biology at the end of the day.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/25 02:51 PM

I can confidently say the vast majority of men respect women as people, that’s a non starter. Online gender wars aren’t real life. Both men and women uphold reinforced traditional gender stereotypes all the time. Most of the frustration I’ve seen is typical dating woes. In fact I’m seeing more posts being made by women about the same things that men are frustrated in when it comes to dating.

Man, you’ll be surprised in how many ppl ARE absolutely fine with just being a fuq boi/girl than go to therapy. What the other guy said about guys discovering that if doing the bare minimum gets them pussy, you think those same guys gonna bother with therapy?

Oh, yeah, lol, that's facts. It's basically just Wattpad stories that publishing houses monetized to make millions. Very, very few are actually good, the rest are straight ass. Low key be the same copy+paste story just the names had been changed. What initially drew me toward it was the huge amount of praise these romantasy books be getting, so I'm like what is the hype all about it. From what I’ve seen the biggest critics of romance novels and smut are overwhelmingly women… because they’re the target demographic. Men don’t even have much of an opinion on the matter cuz, also from what I’ve seen, most men don’t even read much of anything these days book wise. Book reading is gradually becoming a woman dominate pastime. It’s only a handful of guys I know who read regularly but it’s never anything newly published and often just classics like DUNE or Lord of the Rings or maybe …

From an objective perspective, the romance novels get trashed by women more than men from what I’ve seen. Duh, right? Women are the target audience for smut and poorly written romance fiction and these lady’s often have A LOT to say about the genre that has some validity to it. Yeah, we get the genre is diverse and whatnot, but your typical romance plot is the trope of “basic chick falls for the overly problematic guy who is the embodiment of everything women claim to hate irl.” He’s aloof, does…

I do feel talks about the friend zone have evolved significantly over the years to include the fact that it does affect women. But it's more than that: it is a bit of selfishness involved where you want to regulate that person as "just a friend." That's why I'm pro Move On. I've been on plenty of dates this year alone where things didn't work out. I didn't want to be friends with any of them lol. They didn't even match me on that level either. Rejection sucks, but it is necessary. You will find …

Because when it comes to dating, initiative gets you pussy, very, very easily. The vast majority of women prefer men to have initiative, that’s just the way it is. Sure, you can go the passive route but she’ll just do you better and be even MORE passive than you. You won’t win that battle, trust me. Just because a girl likes you doesn’t mean she’ll instantly land in your lap with 0 effort. She’ll still want you to pursue her, she’ll defer to you to take the initiative, the only difference is she…

Nice “normal” guys don’t escalate things. They come off too friendly and too agreeable and hardly take the initiative. In her mind he’s just being an ordinary friend. Irl, women respond to those traits automatically and would follow suite if they feel comfortable. All you have to do is take initiative.

Honestly, it’s been a long time since I’ve felt intimidated by a woman’s looks. Personally, the main reason I don’t approach is because I don’t really have any reason too. I don’t know her from Adam, not interest in talking with total strangers, so yeah.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/25 03:00 PM
1

This is true, mostly online though. Women would say a guy who was their friend then asked them out is a a “betrayal” but it’s really not. The fault can lie in the fact the guy never actually made his intentions know and was just playing it cool because he is largely unsure how to escalate things past friendship.

Man, this mentality usually stems from men who get little attention or experience with women and or chat up any woman with a pulse; and then get mad when they don’t want to date the random dude they ran into on a sidewalk cuz… duh.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 04:42 PM

How is this possible. In their 30s and still haven’t had any ass?? Da fuq?? You don’t gotta be James Bond to get pussy, it’s really not that hard.

Often always, the guys who are jaded with approaching just approach any woman with a pulse without any reason beyond her just looking pretty. They often get themselves sprung, overinflate her importance, and put her on a pedestal waaay before they even consider asking her out. You fix that by... not getting sprung too soon on any girl that blows their way.

I'd argue that the bigger your success with women, the more you resent their mindgames, shallowness and pettiness, because you deal with their bs on daily basis. ...okay, damn lol, what type of women are you seeing, dude? 😆

/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/25 08:41 PM

So... uh, what are we debating here? lol. Being jaded about dating? That's very, very common for pretty much everyone. No one enjoys sifting through the dating trenches, but it's an inevitable thing you'll have to do to find success in dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/25 08:34 PM

But honestly? I prefer the man’s side of the dating game. I can say this with absolute certainty that if men and women were to switch roles for 1 year, women would absolutely despise the FUCK out of dating.

That was %100 dumb for everyone involved. The women on there were all mid and so were the guys they were sharing. The vast majority of them were spreading rumors and misinformation. It was doxxing overdrive for both men and women.

Yup. This is nothing new. Men have been saying this about women since we’ve lived in caves. Women tend to pride themselves on being better at emotional intelligence than men but that’s largely because women prefer to play a reactive role in their relationships. Of course the person who just reacts to things will have a healthier relationship with emotional intelligence because they aren’t the ones making the decisions or being judged by them. As men we live in a “you’re the problem, now go fix t…

For one, you absolutely don't want an opposite gender friend for the sake of having an opposite gender friend. Friends are confidants, ppl you rely on and ppl you trust. Ppl you're compatible with. They come in all shapes and sizes. I don't necessarily go "oh, yes, I have 5 female friends." That means nothing to me. Perspectives between genders aren't even that drastic. However, society does treat men and women differently and these differences do have their own strengths and challenges, but tha…

Absolutely. For some reason we don’t talk about confidence in women enough like we do in men. Largely due to the fact that men are often the ones who have to initiate and of course, confidence plays a huge role in that. But I’ve been on a couple dates this year and I can say, at least from my experience, there is a chunk of women who lack confidence for sure. And that’s common, but we still need to talk about it. On the surface women seem secure when they’re with girl friends hanging out. But wh…

It’s mostly an internet thing. I’ve seen men dog like Rachel Zegler over having a “hairy back.” And I’m like… do these dudes love telling the world in creative ways that they’re kissless virgins or what??
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/25 08:07 PM

Man… lol. You didn’t even have to do all of that. Nobody likes dating but everyone wants to date anyway. It’s a strange conundrum but there’s not really much anyone can do about how dating works. It sounds more like you just needed a breather. It happens. It’s natural. The vast majority of dates don’t go anywhere anyway. All you can do is take care of yourself and do yourself. At the end of the day, that’s what matters the most

No, not men, circumstances. Walking around at night in a sketchy area known for robberies. That bar with a notorious history for fights. Hanging out with questionable ppl. , ect.. You can go aha these are all MEN behind these acts. But that’s not the point. The point is you’re potentially dealing with potential dangerous people in general. Men will warn you of these things because these are places where you would most likely be robbed, stabbed or killed. No guy will tell you to be careful around…

You want men to just stop committing crimes?? Realistically that’s never going to happen, but crime has decreased over the years.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/25 12:31 PM
2

Sure. Where do you want to begin? Through history men have been leading in violence, but most men do not participate in it. In fact, history also shows us that the majority of men act against violence and speak out against it as well. This is on top of the fact that men are also the biggest victims of crime too. There are two sides of this coin. You have to look at the whole picture rather than one corner of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/25 12:28 PM
4

This is a weird comment. Not only does it show that men are largely the victims of violent crime, it also largely ignores the fact that while men commit more violent crimes than women, only a minority of men are actually committing these crimes. That 92% makes it seem like ALL men are capable of committing crimes whereas in reality the vast majority of men aren’t. The vast majority of men are actually viewed as potential defenders and guardians than they are criminals. At the same time, since me…

I never actually heard a man say women are wrong for prioritizing their safety. In fact it’s usually men telling women to prioritize their safety.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/25 12:04 PM
-1

Yes, men are usually the ones to warn ppl of potentially dangerous situations. Men caution boys not to hang in the hood at night, not to hang with gangs and to not settle disputes with guns and weapons. So of course a man would also caution women and girls to be safe in public because men have had it drilled in their heads for centuries that women are “the weaker sex” who need to take extra precautions for their safety. So it checks out.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/25 12:03 PM
-1

Yup. Because men are seen as defenders. Men also caution other men and boys not to walk through the hood at night. Not to hang with their gang affiliated friends, not to be out late as hell, not to act a fool in public, how to be courteous to ppl within reason, etc… All you’re doing is describing a cornerstone role that men play in society as defenders and guardians. Anti violence initiatives that involve violent crimes like gang violence and shootings are usually handled by men.

I’m pretty sure if guys had a weight filter on those apps the data would show they 99.9% of those men would prefer slimmer women. Dating apps are superficial by nature so no surprise there.

I feel this whole “women vetting men” thing is heavily over exaggerated. In a nutshell a woman wants to date a guy she genuinely likes. That guy will not be “perfect” by any stretch, but she likes him anyway. This is simple stuff. Too many guys think being a good person is enough to get a woman to like you. Being a good person isn’t even a qualification; you need chemistry, sexual tension, emotional intelligence. That’s gonna get you pussy like clockwork. Looks play a factor sure, but they’re no…

Man, for real. I had a friend I finally forced to come out and hang after not seeing him for like years cuz every time I tried to get him to come out he had a convenient excuse on why he couldn’t come out. I talked to ppl who travel a lot and they never tell you about their trip or what they did. It’s just “it was nice -_-“ and then say nothing else about it. Maaaan, lol. Did you actually see the men on that app? It’ll give a lot of men hope cause none of the guys shared in that app were nowhere near good looking. They were average to uggo tbh. Even the women weren’t all that. They were mid at best; the typical sort you see on dating apps on the regular.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/25 12:25 PM

Women would hide behind “he just wants sex,” till the day they die, huh? And then proceed to deal with a guy who… just used them for sex anyway -_- If you pay attention to a lot of what men say online, the vast majority just want reciprocity. In fact in r/askmen the top voted comment on the thread of “what do men find attractive in women?” Aloofness and non reciprocation were the biggest turn offs.

You have to be more than just “good” Where’s the sexual chemistry? The romance? The confidence and swagger? Being “good” is just… good. When you lays video game, you like it more than just being “good.” Maybe it’s the gameplay the graphics, the characters or the writing. It’s always other things that make that good stick out to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/25 05:19 PM

That’s because attraction leans heavily into chemistry. Being a good person is just “meh” you know a lot of good ppl in your life but does that mean you’ll hook up with all of them based off that alone? Nah.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/25 04:27 PM

That’s a long winded way to say a lot of young men are falling for victimhood narratives fed to them by right wing bull fuckery.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/25 12:14 PM

Honestly you should only confide in someone you trust. Not just cause they’re a man or a woman, but that you TRUST them. I’ve had bother men and women trauma dump on me, because these were people who trusted me.

Wait what? That’s what this app is about? Women can star rate the men they’ve dated? Do they use his photo and real name (I would assume so if they’re telling other women to be safe around him) That’s an invasion of privacy and doxxing tbh, especially if the guy didn’t do anything beside have her “the ick” which according to women could basically be anything.

When you said, “You do know you have 100% control over your emotions and how you conduct yourself, right?” you never specified any exception for emotions brought on by losing your entire family. Why would I specify something we aren't even discussing? OP's original comment is about being upset at being romantically rejected. That's the root of the discussion, and that was what I was responding to. You basically came and said "Oh, yeah, well, what if your whole family just DIED? How you that make…

You do know you have %100 control over your emotions and how you conduct yourself, right? This year alone I’ve been rejected by two women I had been dating. Tate is basically a pedo sex trafficker bruh. He didn’t have a single healthy relationship. Tesla, like some inventors was married to his creation. That or he may have just been an asexual, who knows. Both of the Wright Bothers didn’t marry either, and it was seen as highly unusual for the time. But these were men who chose to go against the social norm of their day to embrace their creation. This was a personal choice.

Yes, guys have been saying this. You’ve probably heard the more abrasive manosphere version since they seem to scream the loudest in these spaces. They use caricatures of “Chads” and “Staceys” to describe this. Stayces are the girls they see as having a boat load of options but then she’ll wind up choosing “Chad bro” over all of them and then would be surprised that Chad bro is a serial cheater but she thought she would be the one he’d choose to settle with in the end. This is a very old story: …
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/25 08:57 PM

Guys have been saying exactly this since the dawn of time. This is precisely the root of their frustrations to the point that the hard core manosphere type made up caricatures to describe this very behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/25 07:56 PM
2

Yup. That’s why I always warn guys and gals to take Reddit with a huge grain of salt. The vast majority of women prefer men to approach. The women who’ve stated that they approach guys are an exception not the rule. They do approach men, but if you’re a guy and you’re waiting on a woman to make the first move, you’re gonna be waiting a long ass time. The vast majority of women often defer to the man to basically do everything. She’ll agree with almost all your plans so long as she ain’t planning…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/25 07:52 PM
1

Because the average woman gets approached often, so she’s pretty much desensitized from men approaching her. More guys are more willing to approach women but they often get shutdown. The rejection rate for men will easily be 80% or higher. That’s just how it is. It only gets under your skin if you don’t have that mentality already to face that fact. In the meantime, cultivating a life for yourself outside of scoring women for dates is easily the best thing you can do for yourself and your dating…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/25 03:29 PM
2

For sure. It’s just men encounter this dynamic way more than women do. Women can afford to experiment with their dating habits. Either wait for a guy you like to approach or approach the guy you like, you guys have a very low chance of being rejected in either scenario. Men can do the same, sure, but a guy who waits for a woman to initiate will be waiting a long a time. He’s practically forced onto the path of having to initiate if he wants to get anywhere. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/25 01:36 AM

No you would not have lol. Men get repeatedly rejected. Men also go through exactly what you just described.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/25 02:30 PM

Basically every dude I’ve met irl and online has stated that they respect those women who make the first move a lot more than the ones who don’t. I’ve never seen or heard them call them slurs for approaching. Most of the women on this sub admit that they met their husbands by initiating first. /r/PurplePillDebate24/07/25 12:18 PM

Plenty of women on this site just stated they met their husbands by initiating first lol. The others ironically described their dislike of the skewed power dynamics of not wanting to be treated as a disposable option, a reality most men who date face anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/25 12:17 PM
1

If you’re perfectly happy being single, then why are you asking men out to begin with?? Y’all give men waaaay too much credit on the whole “fake personality,” thing. No one is that adept at faking a personally for weeks lol. You can easily peg someone for who they are in a few weeks at best. It’s not that hard, nor do you have to be some skilled body language expert. Additionally, if for whatever reasons, you can also just meet in public places if you feel the guy is dubious.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/25 12:15 PM
1

You do realize a guy who approaches could ALSO just be in it to get sex? I keep seeing this argument of “the guy should care more,” but in both instances the guy cares more. You approach him and he takes you up on yo it offer to date, that’s literally him caring more.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/25 12:11 PM
6

This is weirdly eye opening. I’ve seen variations of this same mentality. It’s ironic because I’ve seen several women on here say they don’t want to be seen as a disposable option or have to do all the chasing… And yet… That is exactly how dating is for men. Then women wonder why some dudes get frustrated with it due to exactly what you described.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/25 12:07 PM

Personally, I’ve never been a fan of it nor have a desire to do it cause I have get to know you somewhat to even consider wanting to approach you. I have 0 issue talking to women or approaching them, but I have 0 desire to date a total stranger no matter how good she looks. I’ll just go, “dang, she fine,” then go about my day lol. I feel the vast majority of ppl often date someone that has a somewhat familiarity with anyway, I.e., work, school, etc… I do feel that cold approaching has gone way d…

Which isn't surprising. Fat women are pretty much in the same boat as the average guy, AKA, you barely get any attention. Fortunately, women have an easy out: just hit the gym, lose that weight--look great and dress nice. You also have the added benefit of being in shape, looking and feeling great AND being able to actively date. For the average guy, there is no ticket in improving their dating prospects. They can hit the gym and come out looking like Chuck Norris and STILL be struggling when it…

Yes, this is true with inexperienced men. Men who are just starting out to date just have that prerogative in mind of “does she like me back.” I often tell men if the woman they like is actually even worth it. Do you really like her for her or just he validation of her giving you the bare minimum of attention? That’s primarily why some men suck at dating: they’re too busy chasing women who don’t even want them.

You need to put effort into every aspect of your life to attract women. This right here is the problem lol. You don't do these things to get women. You do these things because you have a desire to do them. Most of my relationships I had I didn't have to do anything. The girl liked me, I liked her, that was it. That's honestly how easily it's supposed to be. If you find yourself pulling teeth just to have a girl give you the bare minimum, then why do you even want that girl? The biggest pitfall I…

Yup. The message for years now that men are hearing is that they're the problem for even attempting to ask women out. They're being entitled for asking women out, or you're a threat to her safety for asking her out. That's three very bad things from the jump and 0 positive reinforcement to actually foster a healthy dating experience with men. That's exactly why guys just chose not to approach becasue that does mitigate those risks for both men and women, but it also alienates us. Online women pr…

This is definitely a yes and no thing. In very rare circumstances, I've had instances where I barely had to lift a finger, and a girl partially joins herself at my hip with 0 effort. Oftentimes, though, I have to jump through flaming hoops just for the bare minimum, and for the overwhelming majority of men who date, this is their reality. The women I know who are single and are dating, have good careers, take care of their bodies and appearance, very social (go out and join clubs, activities). T…

That’s the fun part, brothers, you just try. There’s no other way around it. As men you have to be comfortable with taking the risk, but more importantly, having the maturity to handle a potential rejection with grace. If you have both of those traits, or if you have to work to get there, you’ll be alright. The truth of the matter is, the overwhelming majority of women WANT men to approach. No matter what they say online, that’s the facts.

The point was that options you don't like are still options. Who promised that all options in life would be good? Sometimes you have to pick the best of bad options. Bad options exist. Or you could just... not choose them. Who's holding a gun on you, forcing you to pick between two things you otherwise don't have to? I'm sure it did but that wasn't the point of the analogy. Lukewarm conversations as a problem is hilarious! I hear women complain about this more than guys, tho. So this is a valid concern. Meanwhile women are dealing with avoiding death and stalkers. Sorry about the boring convos though. lol!! This is a valid argument as well. Women's safety should always come first when dating.

Dating is about looking for a partner that you will build your life with, not about finding any objects that you can get. A lot of ppl treat dating like this tho.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/25 01:44 PM

So, yes, women have it easier in getting attention because guys crave that attention. But guys can train themselves not to be simps and to be more strategic in who they actually want to talk with, rather than the shotgun approach of "any woman would do." Otherwise, making it easier for women in the dating game.

Okay, so realistically, let's say you have two women who like you, but for the life of you, they're just mid. Nothing's outwardly wrong with them; you just don't have any romantic chemistry with them. Do you still consider them options despite the fact that you don't click with them on a romantic level?

Attention-starving tendency is a sign of insecurity, or having little going on in life. A busy, productive life yields many fruits, including attention from women. Women do approach, but not in the same capacity as men. A lot of women still prefer men to take the lead, even if she approaches you, she will then defer to you taking the lead to make the relationship work. Why do you think that saying, men hold the keys to a relationship exists at all? We guys have the power in a relationship, from …

Brother, it’s not about “manipulation.” These women absolutely KNOW that the guy is problematic, they would even admit to it, but then they’ll go along with them anyway. Abusers are easy to spot; there are always signs, it’s just a good chunk of ppl who find themselves in abusive relationships have this belief that they can change that person or that that person would get better over time. Once an abuser realizes that they could get away with being problematic they’ll just keep doing it.

“Women intuition” isn’t real. The instant a woman could tell a guy is trying to flirt with her and she’s not interested, she'll overly analysis his motives start deploying soft rejection tactics. Women actually enjoy sex just like guys. Well quality means the attitude and personality of your date. Men do not have a wide pool of dating prospects as women do, but they do face the same challenges that women do on dates, but for men, those dates are very infrequent. Here’s the funny part: they don’t. It’s called the halo effect for a reason. Women (no matter what they claim to say online) have a tendency of defaulting to a passivity role in a relationship, which creates this powerful notion that women are hapless and just fall for problematic men.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/25 03:54 PM

I do agree with this take. When it comes to gender roles women are by far the traditionalist in that aspect (because it largely works in their favor) Just be passive and wait for stuff to happen. But the instant it’s the most mildly inconvenient thing (aka, they have to take action) then they take action, but only to reinforce the roles, and or call it a dealbreaker and leave. I definitely feel men are more open minded, more willing to forgive small things, able to work through small hitches

Men just have to be more strategic when it comes to dating. On social media, it is very easy to simp, but the first real step to stop simping is just to unfollow and block the account. That girl isn't the only attractive thing out there. The second thing to do is to pursue more strategically, you do this by befriending women in your immediate surroundings, at work, at the gym, at the meet-up spot, whatever. Most women already do this. Guys just aren’t as prudish when it comes it. A coworker of mine from an old job had my number for work stuff. I only knew her from work and honestly we barely even talked to another there, but yeah.

I can %110 say this is it. giving her space to be interested and move towards you on her own time, having your shit together so your life is good weather or not you are dating someone, flirting that lets her feel interesting and attractive - not hunted or trapped, demonstrating she has social value as a person not just a sex object.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/25 05:31 PM

Well, the thing is you DO have to try. Waiting around for a relationship to happen isn't the best strategy, especially for men. Proactive dating means taking chances, it means being comfortable with being vulnerable but not taking things personally if things don't go the way you want them to. Essentially, be polite, be levelheaded, and don't fully invest in people who rarely or never meet you halfway. But making an effort with people does leave a positive impression, because, personally, I feel …

Men and women choose relationships, man. This sounds like some young guy talk here. This is the same mentality where men believe women hold power over them when it comes to dating and sex. It’s not true. If you’re a guy—if you’re a person in general, who knows their worth, no one would have that sort of power over you. Then what’s the alternative to equality for women? This isn’t a new thing. Men and women have always been miserable, it’s just social stigmatism had suppressed men’s ability to express themselves openly and women didn’t even have much say in society anyway. In a way, society didn’t move much away from this mentality; gender expectations are still solidified in society. Despite equality gains, women still expect men to take the lead.

Often times, abusers show their hand pretty early. I dated a girl for like a month and yeah, the signs were there from the jump. /r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 10:33 PM

Yup. The fear of rejection is plays a huge role in that gap. You won’t hear it often from a woman, but it’s an underlying fear. Men are just told to deal with it lol. Couple that with traditional gender roles which most women prefer, and there we have it.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 10:30 PM

Being approached doesn’t always mean anything will come out of it. It’s just the majority of women prefer men to initiate engagement. And if she likes you then great. And if not then that’s cool too. Just move on to someone who does.

No, but men can behave politely and disengage if a woman isn’t reciprocating their attention. They do realize there’s more than one woman on the planet. Why waste time talking to one who isn’t interested when you can be spending time with one who is?

Speaking in absolutes by stating women in general are snakes to their friends speaks more volumes to who you’re surrounding yourself with than women in general.

Why is gender an equation here for friendship? Friends are ppl you have good chemistry with. Like spending time with. Emotional dumping is definitely not a woman exclusive thing. Ppl who trauma dump feel safe to do so with you, but I get it, sometimes they tend to retread the same things over and over again. That’s why we have this thing called boundaries.

Yup. Knew a comment like this was coming. My point is all about living outside your comfort zone. This builds character, it expands your social circles, gives you life experience and puts you in the path with people you otherwise wouldn’t have met. It’s not about “collecting hobbies.” It’s about pursuing a passion that will open new doors for you in life. Nowhere did I say you have to do these to “be interesting.” You laugh at salsa dancing and yet it’s fun as hell to do, you have an instant cir…

Yup. A similar topic on “which gender takes rejection the worse?” Pops up every now and then, And it’s not even a gender thing, it’s largely a people thing. It’s not even that women have options, it’s largely because women know that they’re always in demand and there’s always gonna be some guy somewhere, even if they don’t like him, will talk to them. You already see countless videos of women saying men don’t ask them out in person anymore or men don’t approach. The reason women hardly meet men …

A lot (most?) of abusive men are from certain backgrounds with certain personality types. A felon who didn't finish high school, has a shitty job, and drinks a lot is significantly more likely to be abusive than the white collar worker. Not at ALL bruh. The opposite is true as well. I knew guys and gals who are cool to chill with but the way they treated their lady or guy was like wtf... Men loss their shit against their partners all the time, in fact, this “nice guy” behavior presents itself in relationships all time. But oddly, we almost never actually talk about that. It’s easier to discuss the “nice guy” you rejected verse the one you’re dealing with.

I’ve seen it many times where a woman would complain about a “nice guy,” whose only pretending to be nice but then they’re turn around a date or get into a relationship with a guy who’s exactly that anyway lol. It’s largely because women have an abundance of choice and when it comes to dating, the average and even mid women get waaay more attention than the average man does. So she can afford to be picky whereas the avenger man usually leans into desperation due to lack of abundant choice. But all men have to do is play at their own strengths, and understand that having few choices in dating is pretty much the norm. But being desperate just to get into a relationship is very unhealthy and unrewarding.

Nah, I said if those options are meh, then they're meh. You can't force attraction. There are tens of millions of people in relationships right now that the aren't even feeling. You don't want to just be with someone for the sake of it, and yet people do it all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/24 12:13 AM

I can comfortably say most of those women who have those sort of "horror stories" that they contributed to it. I'm also willing to bet that most of it is exaggerated too. I had two friends where this was the case. One of my friends will stir up drama about her then boyfriend (who was a really cool guy, like for real, no joke) but her personal life was a wreck, which explained why she was so dysfunctional. You see her and she comes off very affable and she was cool with me, but burh, her boyfrien…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/24 10:45 PM

Why would you want to date women who choose losers anyway? Far as I'm concerned that's trash throwing out trash. I feel like you're making the mistake of guys have to be gentlemen around ALL women you encounter. You do not. You treat them just like how you treat guys and you take that unnecessary pressure off your shoulders. Women aren't anything special, but too many men see them as such, which leads to objectification and unhealthy habits like treating them like they're an endangered class of …

I see average guys with women all the time. It's not even about personality. It's chemistry, but in all honesty, it's familiarity. That natural connection that just happens. There's no preparing for that.

I'm mega out of the loop, but this 4B movement sounds like that one Spike Lee movie where women stopped having sex with men so that they could stop committing crimes lol.

Same. Confident, cool women are a must-have over submissiveness any day. I've dated women who self-described themselves as submissive and they're a major pain in the butt to deal with. The main issue is that they just leave all the decision-making up for the guy to parse out and they become super passive to the point that it's like you're just carrying them along like luggage. This stuff is a major turn-off because these sort of women often finds reasons to complain about how they didn't like wh…

Overwhelmingly and unsurprisingly, people tend to associate with people that they see themselves in or that they're familiar with. Very few people branch out of their comfort zones when making friends or dating. The girls who like Mr. Bad Boy are no different than he is. That's primarily why those sort of women go after him--not because he's assertive or confident, a lot of guys are that already. It's because she sees herself in him, she's comfortable around him because he is familiar. That same…

A lot of guys keep coming with this mentality that women are these passive, hapless girl-next-door naivety who just fall for “ Mr. Bad,” cause he’s “mysterious,” and “fun.” Nah. The reality is those women are exactly like Mr. Scumbag. In reality, Mr. Nice Guy actually wins a lot—he’s not dealing with garbage ass women. Don’t equate a man getting women easily as success when you aren’t looking deeper into the dynamic. Guys for some reason don’t see women’s flaws like they see men’s flaws until th…

Honestly, I don't choose people to hang around primarily because of their personalities but mostly on if we gel with one another and we have an understanding, and comradery between one another. At the end of the day, I feel like that is what truly matters. We've been beating up nice guys for far too long because everyone is too afraid of the wolf and sheep's clothing rather than worrying about the snarling wolf who's glaring right at them. The way "nice guys" are described gives these people way…

Ah, yeah, I see this almost every day ( live near a popular beach) and I see guys trying to chat up women who are locked in on a jog or power walk and have their headphones on and these dudes would run after them to try to get their numbers or whatever. And as you put it, I wouldn't go so far to say these men are creeps, more so just nuisances. As men, (I'm a guy myself) we don't necessarily go out worrying about our safety unless we're going to a questionable neighborhood at night, but otherwis…

In a way, I agree with this. That negative image of men ironically doesn’t even have anything to do with men in general, but a specific behavior that some men would harp on given the chance. But in the end it’s all about playing on peoples fears as well. The man vs bear scenario largely plays on isolationism and opportunistic tendencies. It’s not saying that men are inherently dangerous, it was saying in specific instances where a lone man is with a woman, she may feel fearful of his presence; y…

I feel like this is a major reason so many guys go insane with this whole dating thing when in a nutshell, dating is simple when you think about it. Be yourself. Be optimistic Be assertive and clear in your intentions. Be polite If you're rejected, repeat steps 1-3. Move on if things don't work out. 8 Try again when you're ready. Much like the top commenter said: men are often targeted for their perceived "inadequacies" often things that are innately arbitrary like "personality" "confidence" or …

Nah, that “don’t crap where you eat” rule gets broken by like 90% of humanity everyday. Work relationship get a bad rep because they sound bad on paper, but in reality, it’s overwhelmingly how most single people over the age of 25 meet. Work relationships also wind up being the strongest longterm. If not that, it’s school, if not that it’s through friends that you met through school or work. The meet through friends is seen as ideal yet nobody here tells you the unique level of awkwardness that …

Right? I’d like to meet someone through a friend if my friends didn’t live thousands of miles apart from me lol. All I’ve got is work events and OLD and the latter is mostly meh and this is coming from a guy who gets matched at least once a day. Nah. It never that serious when work relationships go bad. That’s largely an internet fallacy that HR will find out or coworkers gossip. This almost never happens. I’ve had one that went sour and guess what? Nothing happened. HR didn’t come out of nowhere. Coworkers didn’t gossip. We ended things quickly and professionally. In fact, when ppl here are saying friend circle relationships are ideal, they are ironically the WORST when things fallout or don’t work out, cause things get immediately wei…

Sounds bad, but it’s mostly how the strongest, longterm relationships happen. I’ve done OLD, it was fun for the most part but no longevity. Least from my experience. Met a girl through work and it was the best long term relationship I had. We broke up but we still stay in touch regularly. Hell, we even meet up for brunch every now and then. I always tell guys this: go outside, walk down a busy sidewalk, how many women catch your eye that you’ll want to go up to and talk to? Probably no more than 2 out like 40. Honestly, school and work, the military, networking events. Reddit loves to discount work as a place to meet potential longterm romantic partners, whereas irl, people ages 20 on up wind up meeting their long-term SO at work, at school or a work-related event. It's very rare that they're at a concert and randomly hook up someone longterm, Those are just dalliances that don't go anywhere beyond casual sex. Interesting, you hear women say “the men I like never approach me, but the men I don’t like approach me all the time.” Despite the fact that there’s nothing stopping her from approaching the guys she likes, and statically, she’ll have a much higher success rate of landing dates than the average male. However, I heard from a girl (a girl who approached me) said she was reluctant to approach because she feared rejection. Yup. That was primarily the reason. The fear of rejection is universally acce…

The Metoo movement was very necessary in a way that it removed the shroud that had protected abusers in the workplace, primarily. The only thing was that it had the knee jerk reaction of men going: “well, since women see everything I go as a potential risk, I’m not gonna deal with them anymore.” And this is just a petulant response and ironically it highlights the fact that some men didn’t see women as ppl but these mysterious beings that you have to interact with a certain way. Eh, irl, I see the casual guy who’s just an average dude pulling all the ladies. The unassuming guy you wouldn’t look twice at. The unemotional edge lord is just a caricature that women love to fantasy about, but irl those guys are WEIRD. The alpha bros are just loud and hot air and brag about having lots of women but you never actually see them with women irl. You usually see them surrounded by women on some podcast that they most definitely paid for them to be there.

Social skills are exactly that: it’s a skill. Skills can be learned and improved upon. Confidence gets misused heavily in the realm of dating. It’s impossible for someone to “just be confident,” because confidence isn’t a personality trait. Confidence applies to someone’s familiarity in a specific situation or skill set and ability to perform a particular task. I’m confident in my ability to ride various motorcycles, or swim a 100m pool without getting tired, but I’m not confident in my ability …

Yeah, i can see that. I’ve had my share of limp wrist women while in the dating scene, I’m not denying that at all. But I’ve also met a lot who weren’t like that as well. From my experience, the wet noddle treatment is usually a role that women fall into for a variety of reasons. But could involve the medium of engagement too. I’ve dated a girl who was the driest texter ever. But in person she was real cool. I had another girl who actually asked me out. We went out and she had the blankest perso…

Yup. That’s all it is. Compatibility. Thats all it boils down to. OP is hung up on the idea of just being a cool person should be enough to get women to like him, but romance is a spark between two people that fancy one another. Being a cool person is always good, but there are no guarantees that anything romantic wouldn’t forge out of it. This is the bare bone reason why people date in the first place. To find that spark. I’ve been on plenty of dates with women where I’ve felt nothing and vice …

Sounds more like those guys need to stop letting their expectations get ahead of themselves. Why does it feel like guys dislike being friends with women? Its like if we can’t fuck em’ we don’t need em’ I feel like this is one of a plethora of reasons as to why men don’t see women as full people. Dating is more than just having a “delightful personality.” I know plenty of women with delightful personalities, but I’m not interested in dating them, and I’m a guy with no options whatsoever, and curr…

The pump and dump is real, yes, but it usually happens when women date above their league, and mess around with men who show clear indications that they’re not serious with them or that they’re messing around with other women who lust after them. The average early 20 something guy is barely getting any action whatsoever. Most of those guys barely been on a date, had one previous gf in their lifetime and are wholly under experienced. Out of that demographic a minority of those men are actually ge…

Yup. Reminds of me of a post I’ve seen where a guy created a basic profile of an average girl and was receiving messages before the profile was even fully created. Not only that, but the guy admitted that the overwhelming vast majority of the messages were kind and respectful. He didn’t report any questionable messages, but he did say if did receive any he’d just simply block them.

This is facts. I know several women who’ve put up with guys who treats them like straight shit, and even admit that they’re being treated like garbage. But then they’ll shutdown guys who are kind and respectful with “he’s just trying to get in my pants,” or “he might be just pretending to be nice,” It definitely makes the noggin hurt.

If the girl doesn't find you interesting, then you move on, You're only "permanently friend-zoned" if you actively choose to be an orbiter to her. No one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to be friends with her. You can disengage anytime.

Man, I feel like you’re overthinking this WAAAY too much. From what I’ve seen, nowadays social skills are in the toilet. Even ppl in relationships suck ass at basic conversations and interactions. Your ability to be social/outgoing/Introverted aren’t big factors whatsoever. This is true amongst men and women. But attraction can grow over time, but the issue is guys would hold out hope for that one girl who doesn’t even like them at all. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. She isn’t the only girl on earth. You can still be friends with her, but don’t go out your way to engage with her with ulterior motives.

Firstly, the “friend zone” is only as real as you make it out to be. Maybe this is due to me being older, but in early 20s and late teens I was a wholehearted believer of it. But in reality the friend zone is just an orbiter: younger guys usually holding out hope that the girl would “wise up,” and pick them. But it’s pipedream fellas. I know because I’ve lived it. Guys and gals can %100 be friends, but for men in particular, you gotta know when to cut your loses and move on for your own benefit.…

Yup. The older you get the clearer it becomes that the people who pride themselves on hyper-individualism, "I got mine, forget everyone else" mentality are only doing so to avoid feeling small;l or disappointed by others. Often always they have some unresolved trauma that is coloring their present perception. I'm like you, I'm respectful to most people I meet because it makes things run so much easier

Honestly, romance novels are self insert power fantasies for the ladies. Have you looked at one… bruhhh, as much as women make fun of male authors who write women, they are definitely the last ppl on earth to be complain. In all honesty, I’d say most male author write women better than women tbh. When women write women’s like maaan, what the hell is this???
