yes mothers should be paid for creating life and kids should be paid to go to school

i noticed that, sorry, seems like a lot of people projecting their demons onto you

wow this is actually an important clarification, i wish more people knew this
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/24 01:08 AM
1

agreed, chaos vs order talking a lot is chaos i love yapping
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/24 01:17 AM
1

im not sure what your point is, but I already agreed that its sexism
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 10:48 PM

why?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 10:34 PM
1

Yes it can be destructive and yes it has more negative connotations but that doesn't mean it's worse than order morally. The negative connotations come from a sexist cultural bias against femininity imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 08:23 PM
2

Logic and order aren't fundamentally good though, they are morally neutral. I'd say about half the time it's actually chaos that is good, for example I think we'd agree that bringing chaos to the corrupted bureaucracy of the military industrial complex would be good because it needs to be dissolved for the greater good. Emotion(as opposed to logic) is good, it's what makes life worth living; chaos is the source of all fun and laughter.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 08:11 PM
1

When did I say emotion is not order? Everything is a mix of both chaos and order.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 07:52 PM
1

And emotions evolved to motivate animals to act in their evolutionary interest.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 07:47 PM
1

Hitler and Stalin were clearly way too far on the side of order imo, authoritarians always are. Two dudes fighting on the street are very likely fighting to get laid, just as their ancestors did for millions of years of their evolutionary history.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 07:44 PM
1

But what are the underlying causes of war? Desire for land, resources, safety, etc, all things that women select men for having. Everything is a mix of both order and chaos and saying chaos is feminine is not the same as blaming women for all wars obviously.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 07:39 PM
1

Actually I'd say the opposite, death is the most orderly state possible: everlasting peace. Life is very chaotic.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 07:34 PM
1

And the hatred of the jews was heavily associated with cleansing filth, like killing disgusting bugs, which is an orderly impulse.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 07:31 PM
1

I would say the least controversial example would be personality differences between the sexes. Females are much higher in openness and neuroticism, while males are higher in conscientiousness.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 07:30 PM
3

It is but I would say it was driven by Hitler's instinct to cleanse and control, which are features of order.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 07:27 PM
3

I would say the Holocaust was driven by excessive order, not chaos.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 07:23 PM
1

You could argue that all male competition is fundamentally driven by female sexual selectiveness though.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 07:21 PM

Idk like fundamental spiritual forces of the universe, neither are good or bad, and they balance each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 07:20 PM

you can make anything seem plausible, thats not the historical consensus though
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 07:18 PM
1

I think this is the one place where jordan peterson got it right. The one thing that almost all cultures and religions agree on is feminine is chaos and masculine is order. So all of our ideas on what is truly natural should probably come from that fundamental axiom imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 06:55 PM
1

i read somewhere that its adaptive because otherwise populations would grow way too fast and starve
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/23 08:26 PM
1

none of that is relevant anyway, the historical record indicates humans were poly for the vast majority of their evolutionary history and the victorian era had to be a response to something, also archetypically eros is feminine
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 09:50 PM
1

women are more sensitive to t afaik
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 09:40 PM
1

"Because effective therapies require supraphysiological amounts of testosterone, it remains unclear whether endogenous testosterone contributes to the modulation of women’s sexual desire. The likelihood that an androgen-only clinical treatment will meaningfully increase women’s sexual desire is minimal, and the focus of pharmaceutical companies on the development of androgen therapies for the treatment of female sexual desire disorders is likely misplaced."
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 09:26 PM
1

no im saying even if testosterone increases libido in females more than estrogen does, that doesnt prove that men are hornier overall in nature or in our evolutionary history because the hormones affect differently sexed bodies differently
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 09:17 PM
2

Both hormones increase libido, they both function differently in male vs female bodies, so the fact that males have more testosterone or trans men feel very horny when they take testosterone proves nothing about the natural human libido balance.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 09:13 PM
1

Yeah exactly.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 09:09 PM
2

That's a totally different subject, testosterone affects female bodies in a different way.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 09:07 PM
2

For women, estrogen levels rise before and during ovulation, causing an increase in sex drive. This study tested estrogen vs testosterone in modulating libido: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4720522/ It found androgens to be ineffective and estrogen to be effective.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 08:48 PM
2

Testosterone affects women differently though, also "Having higher levels of estrogen in the body promotes vaginal lubrication and increases sexual desire."
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 08:17 PM
2

testosterone affects women differently as their entire system is completely different
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 08:10 PM
2

That's a separate issue, women have a completely different system. As far as the cause of the testosterone drop, all we have is epidemiological studies, we certainly dont know the cause absolutely.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 07:49 PM
3

and yet our testosterone levels are falling dramatically, you think that's a genetic change? knowing that genetic evolution occurs over millions of years? its obviously an environmental cause
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 07:26 PM
3

And for most of non-recorded history humans were orgiastic.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 05:21 PM
1

It makes a big difference, if women are naturally hornier but we are living in a profoundly unnatural state then we should maybe try to be more natural.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 05:08 PM
4

And hormones can be controlled by culture.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 05:07 PM
2

Yes but we don't know how much of that is culture and how much is natural inclination. In our evolutionary history we had very different mating styles (poly-ish) than we do now and that was a cultural change, not a genetic one. One counterexample is women and the historical confusion about "hysteria" where the treatment was an orgasm with a vibrator. Another: why did the victorian era represent such a big change, almost a sexual revolution? Maybe because before the victorian era women were extre…

The answer is that having and raising children is the most valuable work in the world but there's no way to monetize it. Also isn't it insane that it used to be enough to have one parent work full time and you could buy a house and car and raise children but now you can barely afford that with two parents working full time? We gotta destroy these mega corps that just shuffle money around and hoard most of the money in circulation.
/r/MensRights30/09/23 05:54 PM

Thanks!
/r/RedPillWomen10/12/22 12:45 AM

If we accept that femininity is chaos and masculinity is order as almost all cultures have since the beginning of recorded history, which do you think fits more with initiation? Personally I see femininity and chaos as the source of initiation and instigation and creation.
/r/RedPillWomen09/12/22 07:16 PM
3

I think the opposite. Eros itself has historically been conceptualized as feminine. I think our culture teaches us that men are hornier because it made it easier to control women and we go along with it. But why did we need to control women? Because they are eros: chaotic and horny.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/22 11:38 PM
1

I don't know any of those except loki maybe? and I'm not saying all females have exclusively feminine energy of course. Do you have any alternative archetypes to put in their place if you disagree?
/r/RedPillWives25/08/21 05:40 AM
4

I've struggled with this as a man because I've always said it first but I've recently realized something paradoxical about it: if we all agree on the masc=order and fem=chaos archetypes then wouldn't the chaotic first move actually fit more with the feminine archetype?
/r/RedPillWives24/08/21 08:39 PM
1

Because we unconsciously want women to reproduce with more attractive men to make the entire species more attractive and therefore healthier. It comes from a good place ultimately but it becomes evil when it's out of balance.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/19 09:52 PM
1

Masculinity is individualistic, femininity is collectivisitic. It's simple.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/19 03:03 PM
1

Its competitive AND cooperative. You can want the best for both at the same time, it's just harder. The best for both is to successfully reproduce right? We can all agree on the survival of the species for instance.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/19 04:26 PM
1

Exactly, its very common to use metaphors to exaggerate. Saying Trump is as bad as Hitler for example. In the same way, it trivializes real slavery to say that women were slaves. There are many very relevant differences like whipping, working on fields, or death penalty for escape attempts.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/19 03:33 PM
1

I'm too busy to do your research for you.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/19 01:49 AM

I did when I mentioned the difference in scale.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/19 01:38 AM
2

Cool, I know how analogies work obviously. Unfortunately, analogies aren't actually the phenomena they represent and when there are relevant differences between the analogy and the analogized the representation of the phenomena fails to have utility in determining the truth. Exaggerating doesn't help your argument. Stop hiding behind analogies and contend with me.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/19 01:10 AM

Nope.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/19 10:10 PM

Prices may have inflated because women entered the workplace; it's a very common and non-controversial meme in economics.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/19 09:21 PM
2

Women can do whatever they want. The world works better if people generally do what they are best at. I agree there's a lot of feminine talent that needs to be integrated into culture, but we dont have to overthrow civilization to respect women. The world keeps getting better faster and faster according to the statistics.

You aren't wrong to say that. Black men definitely have it harder than white women, let's be honest.

That's a nice joke.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/19 04:57 PM

I didn't miss the point. People do things for more than one reason; we are both right. Yeah, child care is a job. It's such a different type of job that it's hard to compare which is harder. I work as a dog walker and I feel lucky to enjoy the positive energy I get from the dogs; they are like children in so many ways. But it's very tiring just like any other job. So I think care work is just as tiring as any other work but maybe its intrinsically rewarding vs extrinsically rewarding. The proble…

Women actual make the majority of large financial decisions, check the stats. You're right though.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/19 03:49 PM
0

I know, there was a bigger context, sorry.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/19 02:57 PM
1

Yeah I know the point, it's great. We should admit that it's a priviledge. Having kids is a priviledge, having a job is, having life is. Everyone is privileged and everyone is a slave to something. I officially rescind my anger, you all win. I'm a slave.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/19 02:54 PM
6

It's an advantage to not have to look for food and be immune to harm, obviously. It's a priviledge to have power and it's also a priviledge to not need power(also not needing power is paradoxically power anyway). Animals dont naturally want power. They want food and safety. The bird in the cage has its natural needs taken care of. It is powerless but privileged. The bird that is free is powerful but not priviledged.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/19 02:50 PM
3

Ok I give up. Everyone is a slave. Let's just redefine the word slave to mean anyone who is forced to do something they don't want to do. Labor slaves, sex slaves, they are all the same. Every human is a slave and there was nothing special about literal actual real slavery. All non-voluntary action is slavery. Fine. Great.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/19 02:44 PM
1

Ok fine. You're right.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/19 02:37 PM
1

Not in remotely the same numbers.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/19 02:22 PM
4

Maybe! It's definitely easier and it's definitely a priviledge. Both options come with drawbacks. It would depend on my personality. But that's just a metaphor. The real situation is much less exagerrated.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/19 02:22 PM
0

Yeah, feminism is a very brave and virtuous movement to relieve men of some of their job responsibilities. So why do we think of it as women breaking free from slavery? That's such a ridiculous exagerration; they should be cringing but instead they are screaming that men are trash. There are still tons of SAHMs and there have been studies showing it leads to better outcomes. Jobs used to pay enough for a whole household, now they pay closer to half a households worth of salary.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/19 02:06 PM
1

Yes, AS property. It's a property metaphor, not LITERAL property. And you know what you do with your property? You protect it and care about it. LITERAL slaves were whipped if they tried to escape asshole.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/19 01:59 PM
11

It's actually easier to be taken care of though, obviously. Getting power takes struggle, being lazy is pleasurable. It's not literal because it's an exagerration. Both sexes can get a job and have a career. Only one can choose not to.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/19 01:49 PM
5

If admit it's not the same SCALE then you also admit it's a gross insensitive EXAGGERATION.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/19 01:45 PM
6

Nope, it's a legit criticism and the poster should be ashamed.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/19 01:42 PM

What a disgusting exaggeration. Way to trivialize actual slavery, nice one.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/19 01:35 PM

Is it possible to have a relationship without fun?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/19 01:04 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/18 09:40 PM

What about just vanilla submission? Is non-responsiveness unclear? Its seems clearly to be tacit consent to me. If you cant express any sort of rejection out loud then it seems like it's partially your fault. You could just as easily encoarage the non-initiator to "use their words" to say no! Why is the responsibility on the initiator?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/18 05:02 PM
1

This is such an important question! I understand the idea that many women may have had bad reactions when rejecting men and this makes it harder for them to say no. But if you don't actually reject advances, I can't see how you can blame a person who is brave enough to make moves for continuing to make moves. I think complete non-responsiveness is far too similar to voluntary submission in outward appearance. Unless they are literally catatonic with fear of something, I don't see how you can rea…

I do think it's interesting that we can't call other guys gay to say that they aren't acting in a masculine way. That's no longer cool in my friend circle.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 04:22 AM
1

You are still conflating status with desirability. Having an inner hierarchy of “would bang” is irrelevant to question of whether or not women are hypergamous. The words status and hypergamy are specifically defined in the anthropological literature. You’re trying to play word games.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/18 12:39 PM
1

No, status is well defined as money and fame. Obviously right? Being desirable as a women isn't her status. There is no feminine hierarchy, there is just one hierarchy for both men and women. Right?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/18 07:25 AM
1

Yeah, hypergamy is about status. Desirability and status are not the same thing, although they are related.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/18 05:43 AM
7

You are conflating desirability and status. Women choose men who have higher status, which makes them more desirable. The same is not true for men.

The anti-natalist position is actually not that substantial IMO. The world may well need more people, how do you know for sure? What if choosing to have children is an incredibly brave sacrifice that is good for everyone in the long term, even if you have some bad genes? What if people that choose not to have children are the problem because they are basically anti-life? We have plenty of food and plenty of space for a MUCH larger population. We aren't running out of natural resources and our te…

Its a catch22 and a paradox and whatever but we still have to tell girls to watch out for predatory guys and we still have to tell guys to cool their jets or worse things will happen than just paradoxes.

Sexuality is a tough problem. But at least this solution constrains teen pregnancy.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/18 06:57 AM

I agree and love this post. Guys are told that girls are good and to trust them and be nice to them. Girls are told that guys are bad and to be suspicious of them. In both cases, it's to protect the teens from each other and from making bad decisions. I think that's the way it should work honestly; that seems like the best solution.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/18 11:05 PM
2

It's neither of those, it's that almost all women have the opportunity to have children whereas less than half of men get the opportunity, just statistically. Look it up!

You make a vow in front of everyone you know not to leave each other. It's deep as fuckkkk
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/17 06:27 PM
1

That's all very interesting to me too! I just meant research specifically about overall testosterone levels being lowered across the whole spectrum though.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/16 06:21 PM
1

Yeah totally! We have to get worse before we get better. I wouldn't underestimate the social effects hormone levels can have but I don't have the data to back that up.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/16 12:18 AM
1

The research seems to have had a big surge in media around 2006, when this study came out. After that there is literally nothing. I see no obvious flaws, maybe some very subtle problems that could be explored further. I would also like to see more. Testosterone is the major male hormone. It has a ton of impact in a wide range of areas. It's also not that small a change, 20% in 20 years is really fast.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/16 07:31 PM
2

I don't blame feminists for the decrease in testosterone. Of course not. I think feminism might have a little bit to do with why there hasn't been more research in the area is all.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/16 07:28 PM
1

Absolutely, I agree.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/16 07:26 PM
1

hahaha it depends on your charisma stat! I meant that in relation to why there seems to be no more research on this topic since 2006, maybe it's because the scientific community is a bit left leaning and so maybe also a bit feminist leaning. Like a sort of unconscious bias against men's issues; Feminist intellectual phase locking. I've heard the term intellectual phase locking in reference to groups of scientists who sort of get locked into a paradigm to the point where it becomes dogmatic.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/16 06:15 PM
1

edit: Yes, so there is no evidence of fraud or flawed research practices either either way, just a lone study. If you want more evidence, I do too; apparently this testosterone issue has not been looked into by science since 2006 as far as my google searching has taken me. Yes self reports can me inaccurate and probably are, but the study included non obese participants as well. It's a pretty decent sample size, hundreds and hundreds of participants over 20 years. I completely agree that it need…

I agree wholeheartedly about physical activity, I was just saying the soft hands thing seems like sort of a tangent. You didn't mention physical activity directly in your first post. I definitely don't think there is any sort of feminist conspiracy, that's ridiculous to me. But I do think feminist ideas overall can influence thoughts and behaviors of men and indirectly cause a drop in overall testosterone level. I don't have any data on that of course.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/16 05:58 PM
2

Sure, that all sounds right, but sort of tangential to the issue at hand.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/16 03:45 PM
1

Yeah, all those are certainly factors.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/16 03:44 PM
1

""The researchers concluded that the decline in testosterone “does not appear to be attributable to observed changes in explanatory factors, including health and lifestyle changes such as smoking and obesity.” "" You might suspect fraud or dubious research practices, but they intended from the outset to control for obesity among many other things. Yes I admit it could possibly be a flawed study, but where's the evidence that it is?
