Always curious to see someone who, best I can tell, has never posted about themselves snipe from the cheap sheets. There’s an always an open seat at the table around here. You going to take the invitation?

6 Stats: 40, married 15+ years. 2 daughters - middle school. 6’2” 217.3 lbs (Up 3.5 from last week) 20.4% bf (strongur) Deadlift: 320x5, Squat: 235x7, Bench: 190x5, Row: 177.5x6, OHP: 125x5. Reading: Sidebar, archives, prereqs, WOTSM. Reading Models My Shit This past week sucked and I’m just writing it off. Back in the saddle. Heath issue came back worse than ever, which really threw me for a loop. It’s an episodic thing, and it’s never lasted this long before. That really fucked me up. Yet more…

Thanks for the feedback. You’re right about being in week 5. I figured I’d go monk mode for 3 months but then transitioned to active engagement with the wife because monk mode felt like a cop out. There is a happy medium. I can wear the robes, but I don’t have to keep the hood on. And what can I say, I’m just a verbose motherfucker.

If I could ban you, I would. Don’t post here again until you have taken one concrete action toward stopping binge eating. Something that scares you to do. Or tell me to fuck off. Your choice.

Before straps you might try (1) mixed grip and then (2) mixed grip + chalk. Once you start using straps, how are you going to keep building your grip strength?

What the fuck. Why did you even post this? Your trainer is a dumb ass on a number of fronts. Lifting weight may make you gain weight for 2-3 weeks when you first start due to increased intramuscular fluids, but that is unlikely at your weight if you actually put down the fork at the same time. First couple weeks you could lose 3lbs a week even with that extra fluid, easy. Lifting is great for so many reasons. One of which is weight loss. Muscle burns more calories than fat. But also the increase…

5 Stats: 40, married 15+ years. 2 daughters - middle school. 6’2” 213.8 lbs (Down 3.7 from last week) 20.1% bf (strongur) Deadlift: 320x5, Squat: 235x5, Bench: 190x5, Row: 175x8, OHP: 122.5x7. Reading: Sidebar, wiki, archives, NMMNG, MMSLP, WOTSM. Finally finished WISNIFG. Last chapter on marriage is interesting. It’s a bummer it’s so far into the book. You never see it discussed here despite being very on topic. I expect it’s because (1) it’s a slog of a book and it’s at the end and (2) it acti…

4 Stats: 40, married 15+ years. 2 daughters - middle school. 6’2” 217.5 lbs (Down .5 from last week) 20.5% bf (strongur) Deadlift: 310x5, Squat: 225x8, Bench: 185x7, Row: 170x7, OHP: 122.5x6. Reading: Sidebar, wiki, archives, NMMNG, MMSLP, WOTSM. Reading WISNIFG. Very little reading this week due to the below. My Shit: This was a rough week. I had a flair up of a chronic medical condition that caused days of fatigue and intense pain. This happens every couple years or so. I had to take an increa…

30% bf I am reasonably healthy/fit Stop lying to yourself Eat better both quantity and quality. That’s it. General intentions. That’s the way to make progress. I’m tempted to keep tearing this apart but it’s not worth it. You are just living in your wife’s frame. Sucks that mommy is mean when she picks out your shirts for you.

This is one of the most autistic things I’ve ever seen on here. You’re morbidly obese and unemployed and you spent more time this week arguing with strangers about a workout plan than you did either walking or applying for jobs last week. You know why you like these overly complicated workouts? Because you want to think about doing the work and dream about doing the work and talk about doing the work because that all feels good, but the work? That makes you sore.

I had some great progress with my dread game this week— can’t wait to write up my next OYS. I’m not interested in pointing fingers, but this may be some worthwhile food for thought. https://www.reddit.com/r/marriedredpill/comments/74yepr/the_dancing_monkey_attraction_improvement/

after some good fucking, she was talking about our next vacation being a sexy one where she dresses more sexy day to day.... in my head I hear alarm bells of why does this have to be on vacation? and I call that out..... which turned into me bitching about that not existing RATHER than leaning in on what that sexy vacation could be like..... dumb as shit. This is a pattern I need to break... after sex I LITERALLY find a way to complain about not having more sex, the right kind of sex, not enough…

Dumbbell Chest Press 90 x 15, One Arm Rows 45 x 15, Squats with bicep curls 30 x 12, Tricep extension 45 x 12, Forearm Curls 20 x 12, Ab routine. No one cares about this shit. WISNIFG (stalled on this one, need to finish it), It’s a fucking slog, right? at the expense of having my own creative time at night. I need to balance that and give myself time to work on my own projects. What does “creative time” mean here? Are there actually projects you’re actually working on, or does this mean fuck ar…

Just gonna pile on here. Dude. You don’t actually lift enough for the caloric deficit to matter that much if you just did the stronglifts program. You are not strong enough or experienced in the gym enough to be fucking around with something of your own creation. You are 1” taller and 10 lb heavier than when I started, so basically the same bf and strength. You deadlift 155, Squat 115, and bench 95 I’m guessing. That’s shameful, yes. But who cares. That was me too. We’re here to call you out for…

I stayed on the Fin. Been on it for three years with no problems. I probably should drop it, but I can’t detect that it’s causing any issues or ever has. And I don’t want to mess with a good thing. My experience would indicate skip the Fin and just start with the oral minoxidil.

3 Stats: 40, married 15+ years. 2 daughters - middle school. 6’2” 218 lbs (Up 2.2 from last week) 21.5% bf (strongur) Deadlift: 310 (1x5), Squat: 220 (5x5), Bench: 180 (5x5), Row: 170 (5x5), OHP: 125 (5x5). Reading: Sidebar, wiki, archives, NMMNG, MMSLP, WOTSM. Reading WISNIFG. Read about 1/2 of it this week. Now 75% done. It’s a slog but it is worth it. My primary take away is similar to something that I wrote last week. Don’t be afraid of your own emotions and don’t be afraid of other peoples …

If you’re gonna relapse, skip the porn. Don’t revert to the old patterns. Make new ones. Easy to break in the future.

Are your weight conversions off. No way you’re 12% bf at that weight with those lifts, unless you’re like 7 feet tall? http://www.strongur.io/body_fat_calculator/
