I chose the red pill.I have similar thoughts. The gamble is not worth the reward. But then sometimes miss the intimacy that can only come by having a good relationship. | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/04/24 05:31 AM

My x wife hates me so muchWhy we have to hate any person that hates us? We don’t need to beat ourselves because we are not suppose to like them. It’s just the lesson and boundaries we should take with us. Don’t try to change any feeling forcefully, you will only intensify them. I think the final peaceful space would be where you don’t give a single fuck what she thinks about you and you see your past experiences with them as a failing of a weak human. You seem to have already won half the battle where you are not carryin… | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/04/24 05:22 AM

How did you guys get your self confidence back?I am on a journey of my own too. And I can somewhat relate to your experiences. I was what they call beta omega or whatever but I decided long ago I will be the best what I can be and true to myself no matter what the final myself look like. I am kind and I won’t become an asshole just because bad boys are what the females want. I too contemplated a lot, read a lot, explored myself a lot and in the end, as you said it’s the actions that mattered. I became one again and the life is easier and enj… | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/04/24 03:24 PM

Help me articulate why divorce is so hard for menThe foremost psychological need for any man is the belief that they belong to this world. That they have a role to play and are contributing to this world in some form. That their life has some meaning. Men generally fulfills this need of meaning by devising purpose in their work and in providing for a family. There may be other avenues where by taking responsibility a man derives their meaning but in this big pie of meaning, family generally takes the lion share. So, wife saying bye in any form… | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/04/24 06:42 AM
Has anyone’s Ex-wife ever apologized for putting them through hell?Women carrying a baby for 9 months and enduring child birth is not fair either. Men and women are different not only at the physical level but also at the mental hardware level. After thousands of years of evolution, each has devised the best strategy for their survival. We can’t see that because we dont see the fight for survival. But we have old hardware for modern times. The environment changed much more rapidly than beings. If you go just few hundred years back, women were dependent on men f… | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/02/24 04:05 PM
Has anyone’s Ex-wife ever apologized for putting them through hell? The reason that no one would get a genuine apology lies in the fact that women has the capability to come up with a favourable narrative to rationalize the situation where they are the victim. And they truly and completely believe that. The only reason they would say sorry is when they need to get something out of you but you can see on their face that they don’t mean it. I think being the weaker sex nature has bestowed them with this defence mechanism. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/02/24 02:54 PM
This one is roughYes, make the best out of the current window. You will have one less thing to grieve for later? | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/02/24 05:48 AM
I don’t know how to be a single adultHere is a perspective if it’s helpful. Our brain craves for familiarity and will fight tooth and nail for the neural recipes ingrained in the brain so the new life is not necessarily worse, it’s just new and the brain has to actively do the work to get accustomed to the new life. Like everything else, when it will become familiar you will be in a better spot. This is time to put in the work much like when you start learning guitar or any other skill. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/01/24 12:17 PM
I filed today boys!Just remember in your down moments(if any) that everything of value have a price tag, in this case it’s your new and better life. Always be ready to Pay. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/01/24 05:15 AM
Are there people who got to the other side of struggle and pain?I had many questions which doesn't seem to have any answers. I think redpill gave me some helpful perspective although I don't follow it blindly. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/01/24 05:34 AM
Are there people who got to the other side of struggle and pain?We need some positivity and hope in the sub. There is nothing more hopeful than hearing a comeback story from a fellow man. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/01/24 05:30 AM
Are there people who got to the other side of struggle and pain? Thanks for sharing. I believe that people would generally fall for denial and delusions rather than facing the uncomfortable truth and more it prolongs, the more messy they become. I started to see these inconvenient moment of truths which have no escape other than to face it, the most important part in becoming your true self. As you said, these are the moments where you go inside and try to figure out yourself honestly. Can totally relate to your post. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/01/24 05:27 AM
Are there people who got to the other side of struggle and pain? They could have done so good. | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/01/24 02:55 PM
Are there people who got to the other side of struggle and pain?True. For me it all started when I saw myself to be so desperate to get back together that I was ready to take any shit. And then I thought what the fuck. That’s when I realized I don’t have anything of value other than a broken relationship. I could see with the naked eye how pathetic I was. It was rock bottom. The only way up is to go deeper, identify the fears and insecurities and be a fighter. It’s been a good journey since then. No regrets. | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/01/24 02:54 PM
Are there people who got to the other side of struggle and pain?Agree. And sometimes it feels so good that you really feel sorry for other knowing what they have lost. I guess it’s mood swings which are frequent earlier and then tends to stabilise after some time. | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/01/24 02:48 PM
Are there people who got to the other side of struggle and pain?Feeling sorry for you. I think the hole left after this experience varies in size for people. Sometimes it takes more time. Hold on their brother. Don’t loose hope. | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/01/24 02:46 PM
Are there people who got to the other side of struggle and pain?Very valuable post. Thanks. | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/01/24 02:44 PM
Shit show continues (vent)In general, try to find some goodness in them and most importantly try to convince you of that so that you can do something for them, no matter how small. As men, we are predisposed to provide. Unfortunately that’s the family you got. I understand it’s hard to fight without acknowledgement and constant criticism but may be if you set your eyes on the bigger goal of making sure your daughters are raised well, you may find some peace there. See if you can be a bigger man. | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/01/24 12:02 PM
Dating during divorce?Cool, I think grieving period is almost over for me too and it's the action phase. Things are now uncertain but exciting. I can totally relate to hitting the gym (going since 2 years) and working with growth mindset to be the superhero that the kids want to see. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/01/24 04:51 AM
Dating during divorce? You are one of the rare guys here who is all sorted from the beginning itself, in fact who is quite upbeat about the separation. I don't know what did you do man to be at that mental state but your positivity is quite infectious. I sincerely hope you post more. I can understand the absence of pain from moving out of a long term partner (my guess it's the confidence and availability of other partners) but how did you tackle your kids? How did you made sure that they are ok? Asking as I am in the … | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/01/24 08:37 AM
Friends with your ex wifeI guess it depends on how messy the history is. If for example, infidelity is involved one needs an iron will to be even civil for the sake of coparenting. But glad it worked out nicely for you. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/12/23 06:19 AM
Move on is the only answerI feel like the core problem are your insecurities, weaknesses and your dependency that made you put your self respect on the line in exchange of delusional validation, when someone begs their partners to come back or carry on. Try to identify them, work on them and keep trying to be better version of yourself and you will automatically achieve #1 and #2 plus apathy for their ex. As long as you are functioning from the one up perspective you are still tied. | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/12/23 01:54 PM
Still hard to understand they become an entirely new person.Similar story. Does writing that out help? | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/12/23 09:41 AM
