This post is bullshit. The title is a complete fiction, used by OP to push their agenda. My understanding of the article was that a man was falsely convicted, the child in question was raped by her stepfather (or as OP puts it: incest sex).

I find it overall to be a good article. It in no way attempts to pardon the pedophile in question. But (a slight nit-pick) is that articles on female perpetrators of sexual abuse/rape report on the details a little more softly, and in the most subtle of ways... but nonetheless pretty telling of the way female rapists/male victims are received. Particularly, note that the article says 'had sex with every day' as opposed to 'was raped everyday'. Rule of thumb, do a gender bender on the situation a…

Thank you for your considerate reply. I appreciate your point that I have filtered the content of this article through my own experience, which is entirely subjective. BUT I think humans are subjective things and would consider these in a case by case manner. I know some irrational women. I know some irrational men. I'm a woman implicitly aware that sexism swings both ways, and believe women (without understanding their behaviour) exercise their female privledge without giving it a second thought. But what in the fucking fuck is with this article? Women act first then rationalise later? I am a woman ruled by logic, considerate of ethics, and conscious of my emotions. That statement there, pretty much says 'hey, by default women are irrational, illogical and therefore invalid: tread carefully'. I am the firs…

I'm having a bit of an issue with the idea that being career driven or ambitious, is to be avoided. I'm a 25 year old female teacher (married), and my survival depends upon my ambition. Sure, I'd love to be provided for finanially and have the freedom to make house etc but it's not financially realistic. My husband and I can't survive on just his income, and whilst I don't earn as my has him, my contribution is essential. Also, I think advising women to hold their work lives and professional ide…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
