Here’s another take to some of the nonsense being thrown- men will almost never turn down access. So if someone approaches me, I know it probably took a lot of guts to do that so their interest level (even on a superficial level) is high. If I approach someone their interest level could have been meh but basically any man who isn’t completely an idiot is capable of acting more interested than he really is because I approached first, which is rare for a woman to do, so I’m basically a lock-in for…

It’s odd how many comments are saying this is depressing. I exercise daily, spend time and energy on hobbies, on fashion/appearance (which I enjoy for myself), friends, not to mention finances and academics. People have to be in a roughly equivalent stratum for it to work. Sure there’s some wiggle room but why should someone ever settle for less across all fronts? Why wouldn’t you want someone who roughly matches the energy and effort you put into life and yourself?

Off the top of my head - it makes you bad in bed because porn dynamics are not actually representative of what works irl, it makes you less creative sexually because porn is almost always the lowest common denominator so you consume cookie cutter visuals rather than using your imagination and thinking about what you can explore and what actually works for you and the other person, obvious dehumanization element that will inevitably rub off (ha) on your interactions with women, desensitization to…

“Does eating junk food hinder my ability to improve nutrition in my life” hmmm let’s think about this one

No no no no no no no no Literally do not listen to this bs. Maybe I’m in the minority and my friends are too, but I’ve rejected PLENTY of very hot guys because they had the personality of a wet mop even though many were actually nice/polite. Boredom=death of attraction imo. A decent/put together looking guy I can talk with for hours and who actually has hobbies and interests (bonus points if he’s literate) will always win.

Nah at least personally I have absolutely been very attracted to someone then they open their mouth and say something idiotic and I can practically hear the crush deflate real time. Conversely someone who’s passably attractive can become a lot hotter with an appealing personality. But yeah there is a minimum attractiveness barrier in either case.

You know, with some half decent photos I could see it working

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
