I think there are several reasons for the stress put on relationships in this country. Our access to higher education is moving more towards the domain of the wealthy. Lower education usually leads to lower paying, harder on the body jobs. People are exhausted. Our lack of a societal safety net means everyone is on their own. Most families have to be dual income just to survive. In Nordic countries, you don't go back to work the instant you give birth. You don't work when sick or injured. The Sw…

If she had a hysterectomy she is in menopause. That's a whole different thing from perimenopause.

Uh...she deserves to know who she married. No one should live with a cheater without their own consent.

The effort I put into my health, consequently how I look is neither appreciated or reciprocated. It's so sad. I do it for me, but if my wife did the same, I would be telling her all the time, how proud I am of her, and how good she looks. Clearly we have different priorities at this stage of life.

Two things men are given a hard time about: complaining about not enough sex, and how much your wife ways. I don't think a problem either is wrong, but man will society shame you for it. Being attracted to your partner, and having sex, are cornerstones in a relationship.

I was banned permanently from that sub. I didn't he even say anything bad. I just provided solidarity to someone suffering in that subreddit.

I am at the pool right now, and all the people my age look pretty bad. Most are significantly overweight, and look like the extent of their exercise was the walk from the car to the chais lounge. I'm into cycling and running though, and those groups have a much higher level of fitness. Do things that attract fit people, though that may require you to get fit too

You can listen to it too. It may be more painful that way, because you hear their voices. She seems like as soon as she lost weight she checked out. The poor guy can't figure it out and is incredibly patient and understanding.

There was an interesting interview with a couple, in which the wife started on a GLP-1, and quickly went from being a loving, best friend, in the marriage, to a cold, distant roommate. It was an NYT interview late last year. Crazy.

This is very typical of Reddit. Instead of answering the question, people prefer to lecture.

It really does seem like a lot of women, from what I have read, and seen, do go on to have great, passionate sex again, after telling their partner that they no longer want to have sex. New Relationship Energy is a real thing. It probably follows the same trajectory though, and dies once the honeymoon phase ends.

It could be that she always enjoys sex for the first few years, and then it becomes less exciting, and more routine. Plenty of people only enjoy sex during the honeymooning phase.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
