I was in this exact situation, divorce brought out of thin air, she left with the kid when I was out of town. Absolutely no effort from her side to do anything. Just exaggerated everything to have more reasons. I tried to repair things, I tried talking with her, I tried understand, what was bothering her. At the end I even tried to play old “we’ve been together for 10 years and have a kid, let’s not just throw it away in second”, but none of that worked. Looking back, me trying, was wasted effor…

Yep, I have never been religious, I don’t see myself ever be, but I think that is the only setting that makes sense for marriage, because religious people take the marriage much more seriously (at least I think). I also have a kid and I love him, but I didn’t want more even when I was married and for sure don’t want more now. But I think I just took, and still take it, more rationally - the apartment is not big enough for more and I don’t make enough money for more.

I probably wouldn’t worry about relationship, but you know, people sometimes ask, which makes you think. I actually do workout, I started running and cycling and I’m trying to look for group events in these areas. It’s not purely just work and TV, but still… sometimes it just creeps up on you.

Agree, I don’t see any point in marriage either. I had done it in this case just because I knew it would make her happy. Which it did, but I guess not enough.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
