We need to stop pretending that the dating scene is not superficial at all. Its very misleading for people especially the younger generation
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/24 09:34 PM

I never knew why this was pushed so heavily. It’s an obvious lie that a woman would like a man for who he is. I’m 20 years old and this is perhaps the biggest lie that was pushed. If women liking men for themselves was actually true half these subreddits would even exist.

It’s not just looks its height and status and money. I’m still in college so don’t have the money yet, I’m 5’8……lol and don’t have status so I can’t really get into the top 20%

Of course not I’m doing the smart thing and just abandoning the US dating scene. I’m an average valued male not a top percent man so it would be much better to

We know that average guys and underaverage guys are pretty much invisible in western dating. These days you need to be a top percent guy if you are a straight guy looking to date. But you can only do so much if you have an average or under average face, short , not a big salary not a lot of status etc. But I am not giving up. Im still young 20 years old and still want to at least try. I full under the bottom percent of men 5'8, still in school so dont have much wealth or money and average face. …

Its not a lie thats why they are just way better at hiding it

So in that case the older and younger generations are similar then. They dont exactly mirror each other when it comes to sex and relationships but Gen Z really isnt too they are just as wild and promiscuous.

Yes so I agree that the right in general is is using Gen Zs sexual activity against the left. I dont agree with them either, i think they are just using that narrative to cling onto anything they can. However it doesnt mean that its not happening.

But you cant claim that their less promiscuous either. Sexual activity in general is very hard to track and keep statistics of because sexual activity can be lied about, sexual activity is obviously usually done in private without anyone else knowing, if your a promiscuous woman you are more likely to lie and downplay your sexual activity while guys are more likely to lie and exaggerate their activity. All we are really left with is anecdotal evidence. I've heard stories from high school and now…

I’d be down to have a conversation but it have to be a little later I’m at work right now. However there are a few things that I want to clarify now. The narrative that the younger generation is having less sex or less sexually active. I personally do not think that is true. I think that it’s a narrative pushed more by conservative media outlets because they try to use this fact and tie it in with “men are having less sex than ever previously recorded” in order to weaponize it against the left. …

Im the same exact age as you in college (20M) I feel like many if the older people who aren’t in our generation don’t really understand our generations dynamics of sexuality or relationships so I can’t blame the responses here. But yeah I get and agree with your concerns. Contrary to what others might say, Cheating definitely has become more prominent in our generation as well as overall promiscuity between men and women have risen. Men and women are now more promiscuous than ever, most men and …

Firstly Im sorry about the trauma you experienced and very glad that you ended up staying healthy through it all and avoided the STDs. Just one question and then ill leave you alone lol. Would you say that monogamy is dying and that casual/poly is the new norm or the contrary that monogamy is actually what most people go for regardless of age and still the norm?

when you say it sure is do you mean it sure is that monogamy isnt natural or are you saying that monogamy is natural?

I think monogamy truly is the minority though, I think most (Not all) men and women would cheat when given the option to. Ive seen and heard stories like this right now in college (im 20). It made me realize the reality of dating and relationships and how most people arent actually looking for love like I thought when I was younger. Its always confusing why people would enter serious relationships knowing well that 8/10 times you will end up being cheated on. Its strange but curious

monogamy isnt really natural when you think about it anyways. Its bad for men and women it makes sense that both cheat. I dont know why marriage was ever pushed or serious relationships either. I learned that women live longer when single as well so I am truly confused why monogamy even exists in the first place

Completely agree, Its never really a good idea these days to get to invested. Its better to just either just hookup or keep the relationship open or if you want monogamy you could date for maybe 6 months to a year and then call it off and go seperate ways

It is what it is I may be a younger guy in college but i learned to just keep it casual and never really take it seriously. You cant really take it seriously in my generation because you can guarantee you will get your heart broken. Monogamy is pretty dead especially long term. Casual/ polygamy is the new trend

I get it. Just one more question do you think shorter men below average would benefit from trying to date in other countries where height is less of a factor?
/r/ExRedPill20/09/23 05:01 AM

I appreciate the concern. I’m assuming you saw my post on r/short where I was asking which countries would be best for short guys to date in. I think my post would still hold true for average height guys as well not only much shorter guys.

Would you say that r/dating and r/relationship_advice are really hyperbolic and the posts that are common on there are not common in real life. For example there are a countless number of posts complaining about cheating and how cheating is common between men and women. People on this subreddit would say it’s common but in real life would it not be as common. Would you say Dating advice in general is highly exaggerated in Reddit than it is in real life?

I’m in your same boat expect I’m 20 so significantly younger. No one has ever asked me about my experience but if they did I would just make something up to not look bad. I would just say I’m not a virgin or I’ve had a GF before but if you aren’t asked don’t tell

I really wouldn't advise cold approaching and or other PUA tactics at least in the states. Its different culture by culture however. Im hispanic and have traveled to Argentina (My home country other than the US) and other South American countries and have had success and women were more open to it. however in the US, not so much really its not that common. You may ask: "Cold approach doesn't really work and dating apps dont work either so what do you do" My advise would be to travel. Go places t…
