I don't understand this r/ at all. This subreddit is bitter "MGTOW" central and has been for years. There's decent discourse elsewhere, but just scroll through the top level comments in this thread and you'll find nothing but "hahaha this is equality" and people who have never served blanket shitting on women in the armed service. Sadly, that's representative for this subreddit as a whole.

Oh, I exaggerate. But I also know how I would have felt like 'looks cool and you won't sweat like a pig' was more important than 'will make you not dead' when I was 18. Which, incidentally, is why I didn't get a bike when I was 18.

breaking my arm as a 33-year-old. I went shopping for motorcycle clothing today for the first time ever as a 33 year old who's never been on a bike but is proper fed up with slow commutes. I kept asking about protective properties of clothes, young store clerk kept talking about lighter and better for hot weather and looking at me like a total pussy.

I feel a bit lost in this thread... I don't know. I'm still stuck feeling like men pay for everything on the first date. It's just how I was brought up. I've been married for years now but all through dating, I've always paid for everything. And never felt like a chump. Getting angry with a girl and then blocking her for accepting this just seems odd to me. Not judging, I understand your reasoning but I'm feeling a bit out of place in this whole thread of opinions.

I've considered it, but I lack the time. First, there's advertising - need to get the word out that you're setting up a new sub that has the same ideals minus the hate. Provided you get the people on board, you also get all the people who don't see it as hate, but just as 'saying it how it is' because 'women this and women that' and if you're using your mod powers to point out you moved subs to get away from non-constructive comments... well you're suddenly Hitler. And that's a full time job bec…

This sub's got a lot of overlap in population with the... "red pill network" though. Posts that add nothing constructive but just bash feminism or women always score well in this subreddit, and that's a shame. Something I'm hoping we can distance ourselves from.

"Warner says she's already got job offers form surrounding counties". Really? "Oh hey she sounds like the kind of person we want in the justice system, bring her in".

Eh, is "racism" a hate crime? Crime motivated by racism is a hate crime and thus more severely punished. As it should be. Crime motivated by an irrational hatred based on gender ... I can see it. Sure, why not. But why 'Misogyny' rather than the catch-all 'sexism'? Oh, because equality isn't what we're looking for here. Right.

Yes. Anyone who disagrees with abolishing due process and just going straight to hitting people with baseball bats must be a feminist. There needs to be some discussion about the direction this sub is going in - and the kind of content we want to encourage and be noticed for. Because if it's articles like these, with comments like the parent comment here, that's not a sub I need to be part of.

It again creates an image of anti-women, immature men who seek to take their anger out on the world and females, rather than a group seeking to redress real societal ills affecting men. Thank you. I feel for Men's Rights and I feel something's pretty damn rotten with our gender politics and the values we assign to different genders today. But it's hard to have a civil discussion about it when the entire name of the MRA still has a social stigma involved - and comments like these being encouraged…

You haven't done your homework. I'm aware of the bias actually. A long time ago I got a masters degree in sociology that I never got any use out of professionally. I think that's more accurate than calling myself a sociologist. Applying this in a blanket fashion towards the judicial system is a leap of logic that I'm not comfortable with making without empirical evidence - but mostly, it's not what I wanted to address with my reply. My reply was targeted at leaping to the conclusion that we're d…

Comments like these are why I have a hard time posting on this sub. "Lady feminist judge" and "hate psychotic bitches" sitting at 40 upvotes. The magistrates of Huntingdon court basically rejected the case - they're not named in this article, but there's only 7 of them. Their names are a matter of public record and are "Rondall, Darrel, Dan, Daniel, John, Danne and Mike". edit: Thanks for the gold. That said, I wish you hadn't. Because I'm an idiot, not because I don't appreciate the gesture. Th…

you don't remember every stranger you see; That's true. But I do remember you though. Every dumb thing you ever did. I'll remember it forever. And so will everybody else.

Honestly, as a happily married man... Attractive girl grabs my butt as a joke - no foul, I like flirtation. Not-so-attractive girl grabs my butt as a joke - not funny, please respect my boundaries. Maybe I'm projecting, but I think I feel the way most men do.

Where-as (Neo)Nazi-comparisons are an excellent way forward... Check the side-bar. Genuine discussion about redpill is fine, blatant promotion of redpill is not allowed. /u/lemming1607 replied to comments and offered a point of view. That's discussion - and I think it's pretty clearly not on the blatant promotion side of the line. I don't agree with his point of view either - but he's welcome to come speak his mind without being compared to a Neonazi. If you can't accept that, /r/thebluepill is …

Thanks for posting. I might not agree with a lot what you're saying, but I'm grateful you're here defending your viewpoints in a cordial way. You're showing yourself as more mature than a lot of the people here who are on my side of the fence.

As a sociologist (criminologist, technically), seeing your comment upvoted this highly stings a little. Granted, I graduated 10 years ago and never used my degree for anything except applying for a visa - so I suppose that .. supports your point? That said, there's a lot of hard data to analyse and I'd argue that theories on ghettofication for example are an excellent example of the scientific method at work in 'real life', with lessons and predictions that help in a very real political sense. T…

Why is the highly upvoted content on this sub regularly this kind of idiocy?

That was used on me, growing up. In hindsight - I cried for some pretty stupid reasons, and my dad isn't a patient man. He wasn't a violent man either.

Jezus. I work with teenagers, but it's also a mostly female environment. One of my colleagues lost his job on paedophilia and sexual abuse charges from a mentally ... not super stable student of his, who claimed he diddled her. After she threatened him publicly to either boost her grade, or she'd charge him with rape. She went through with it, he lost his job - she was convincing enough to have it go to trial. This was Europe, lasted 5 years - everyone he knew was talking about it. Poor effing b…

You know, as opposed to resting in the middle of nowhere with nothing to watch? Cycling's fine while you're moving, but you take your breathers when there's people around. Its how we're wired.

Hi Men's rights. I'm on your side. The whole Tumblr feminist thing has gotten completely out of hand. Media representation on this case is haphazard at best, and his lawyer is playing to publicity. Facebook records of girls saying he deserves a lesson, and conspiring to put him in jail does not mean he didn't rape them. In fact, from the facebook log - they mention the rape while talking amongst themselves; (source: http://www.trivalleycentral.com/san_tan_valley_sentinel/local_news/kost-attorney…
