I want to be a feminist, but it feels AlienatingYou are being reductive and straw manning my position because you have an issue with the concept of patriarchy. Patriarchy in the sense that modern feminists use it is more conceptual than it's past definition. Rome was a legitimate patriarchy that treated women as property. Like I said, the exclusively male leaders of the time created the law that said rape was specifically something a man does to a woman. The idea of a woman raping a man was illogical. So yes, that idea was due to patriarchy. … | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 23/06/26 07:56 PM
I want to be a feminist, but it feels AlienatingWhy do you say this? What is feminism to you? As far as I understand, it is about making women equal to men | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 14/06/26 09:47 AM
I want to be a feminist, but it feels AlienatingDepends on what you mean by feminism. It's not necessarily Left-wing. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 14/06/26 09:45 AM
I want to be a feminist, but it feels AlienatingAll that information and you pick out one word you don't like. I was contemplating tiptoeing around it for that reason. Look, western society was in the past definitively a patriarchy. Women were literally considered property which is the era that these esoteric definitions about "rape" come from. Now, we have been moving away from patriarchy over time but it's remnants are still within culture. Y'know, marital rape wasn't even illegal across the whole US until 1945. Do you understand how recent… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 14/06/26 09:39 AM
| -1 | I want to be a feminist, but it feels AlienatingYou don't have to throw out a whole movement because of an opinion from one of is advocates. Most modern feminist scholars/activists do not share Koss' definition of rape. To be fair to Koss', our modern understanding of rape as any forced/coerced/decieved non consensual sexual contact had not been formulated. The language and frameworks weren't around. Koss was a pioneer and was attempting give words to these actions and expand on our understanding of victimization. She coined and popularized t… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 06/06/26 04:45 PM |
How do you feel about people pointing out sexual dimorphism?I suggest checking out, Men and Women: No Big Difference "A 2005 analysis of 46 meta-analyses that were conducted during the last two decades of the 20th century underscores that men and women are basically alike in terms of personality, cognitive ability and leadership." "For example, after participants in one experiment were told that they would not be identified as male or female, nor did they wear any identification, none conformed to stereotypes about their sex when given the chance to be a… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 28/07/25 12:29 AM

Misandry isn't real..Yeah, you shouldn't center men or women. That isn't what feminism is meant to be. The second you treat it like a competition you've lost the plot. The answer to decentering men is not to start centering women. It's to simply decenter men. | /r/EverydayMisandry | 20/07/25 07:52 PM
Male disposability is a human right, apparentlyMost women live longer than men and people who have children also tend to live longer than those who don't. Pregnancy is almost always non-life threatening and recoverable at this point in time. They're just making stuff up. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 28/06/25 09:10 PM
so disheartening that some people don't even view men as humanI just watched a YouTube video by Psychology in Seattle titled, "10 Tips On Counseling Men (2015 Rerun)" and one of the tips is straight up just, "Remember they're human." 😭 Great video and channel btw. | /r/EverydayMisandry | 30/05/25 01:14 AM
One of the Worst Content CreatorsLike they were saying though. Women who gain elite status would be inclined to keep the status quo for the same reasons. They would still want to control reproductive capacity and producing human resources for their own benefit. Also, they don't need to change anything because once you have enough money and power you can get the things that you need without assistance from the government or laws. | /r/EverydayMisandry | 06/05/25 03:29 PM
The most misandrist thing I've seenIt's disheartening that this article is still only about protecting women. "The criminal justice system needs to recognise woman-to-woman rape and sexual assault, and support services need to be made more aware of the issue." Wouldn't it be better to say that the criminal justice system needs to recognize women rapists? She's leaving out an entire class of victims. | /r/EverydayMisandry | 26/04/25 07:49 PM
Men were more lonely but now articles say women are more lonely. Why the change? The issue with this kind of data is that it's never of all or even most people. It's not 57% of men and 59% of women. It's 57% the men they surveyed and 59% of the women they surveyed. I checked the source, they surveyed 2,496 people in the US in 2021. That's 0.00000752% of the US population in 2021. Are we sure it properly represents the entire population? | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 09/04/25 05:34 PM
I'm tired of the hateThis is actually a problem with women of all types. It's a misuse of intersectionality. You could be at the bottom of the intersectional ladder as a woman and still have a better life than a lot of white men which would actually put you above those men and if you're saying that men are evil and oppressors and that the world needs a matriarchy then you are the oppressor, but they've convinced themselves that men deserve it. It's wild the amount of women who believe that a matriarchy would create … | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 01/04/25 05:26 PM
