I am assuming you mean woman as in a viable mate? Like a sexual manner. Yes, men are not attracted to people they are not attracted to. But we still consider you a fellow human being and worthy of basic respect. You would be an NPC. But I want to challenge you a bit here. Do you view men you aren’t attracted to as potential sexual mates or just background noise?

I can see what you’re doing but I think it’s wasted here. Reddit itself is an echo chamber and your message is wasted.

No I don’t agree with that. I think lots of female friends is a huge red flag. I have women I am friendly with in a plutonic and respectful way but I am not friends with them. They are coworkers, or friends of my wife or SO of my real friends. Thing I do with my friends; stay over their house, get dinner with them alone, go on trips with them, confide with them. No way am I doing that with any female and my wife thinks “that is so respectful to our marriage”. And I wouldn’t want her to that with…

I think your friend group often says more about you than you realize. I personally befriend others who will tell me “that’s a dumb move” or call me out on my BS. To me that is what a friend should do; keep me in check. And conversely when they are happy for me, I know they mean it. But I notice many people just want to surround themselves with yes men. Someone to complain to and wallow with. I think if you surround yourself with people like that, it hinders your growth. But growth isn’t always s…

I’m not really sure what this has to do with what your post or my response but you’re right. There are no guarantees in life. All you can do is try. It might not yield perfect results but if you don’t try it will never happen. By the same token, a girl who isn’t a virgin, or even a single mother might connect with you on level you didn’t think possible. It cuts both ways.

By the same token, many of the men who “don’t have to work for it” did put in the work but people only see the result and not the effort.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/26 08:50 PM

And you just answered your own question. People want to feel their efforts will amount to something. The problem is many men take this mindset and use it as an excuse to not try at all. Not all men take the advice “anything worth having is worth fighting for”. Rather they interpret it as “if you have to work for it, it wasn’t worth it to begin with”.

Because it’s hard to be truly self aware, acknowledge that you have things to improve about yourself. It feels like a verdict has been passed on you. And not a good one. And often it can hurt. Especially if you are surrounded by people who are also stagnant. They don’t want you to change or get a new perspective on yourself. Inertia is comfortable after all.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/26 08:45 PM

I can agree with “if you want better, be better”, that about it. Everyone will reach for more, and many feel they are better than they really are. Or worse, undervalue themselves. Self awareness is at an all time low. Men and women also value things differently. Men don’t really care about that much about a woman’s job or income. They value attraction and personality (just be nice). While women tend to value everything. Especially resources.

That’s what the actual post is for. The title is the hook and the post is the body where you elaborate and defend your position. I noticed in this subreddit, people post paragraphs as their title. Is this a trend?

I get it man. You got a lot of ideas and you want to talk about it. But organize first before you commit. This isn’t college where you need to fit a word count quota. Convey your ideas in a concise and direct manner. You know why? It conveys coherence, organization, consideration. Like every word matters. And it’s attractive, not just to women but everyone. Try it.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/26 08:38 AM

The more concise way to say the topic is thus: men get friend zoned because women have more criteria. Do any of you even read the wall of text you post and think “damn that read confusing af” because I see it all the damn time and I want you all to suffer this bad writing with me.

I think OP is definitely a “dating regard”. Seriously what is up with this subreddit and its terrible grammar? You guys love your run on sentences, confusing word arrangements and pretentious vocabulary. How do you all plan to have a debate when you can barely put a string of words into a coherent idea? Please edit your OPs with chatgtp. Seriously.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/26 08:25 AM

I can agree with this OP to some degree, but I will say that you, as a man, probably don’t want a relationship with a delusional woman in the first place. Much less try to convince them their standards are delusional
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/26 02:13 AM

Yeah I think this is the main thesis of the OP. Men and women choosing poorly and then blaming the sex as a whole for their poor choices. Woman picks asshole. Blames all men for being assholes. Man picks gold digger. Blames all women for being materialistic.

So you strung her along for ten years? OMG. I am glad you are posting here. It’s rare to see the thought process of a narcissist on full display. You rationalize. A lot. “Oh I was so supportive despite my cheating and lying”. “Oh I pay for things and cook, even though no amount of cooking or money will make up or the time I wasted”. “I am a calm person who is cool even I’m lying about being a good person. Yeah and it’s a war that you are fostering by your love bombing and cheating. I think you are valid in saying women reward dishonest and immoral men like yourself even as they say they want the opposite. Could you tell me about this ten year relationship you got out of? Were you married or just a LTR? It makes a difference because being a good husband and good boyfriend are also world apart.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 04:20 PM

I feel like this question answers itself. A guy will get into a committed relationship/fall in love with a girl because there’s more to it than sex. Although there is floor to the amount of sex. If it’s once a month, I’d want more but being with the woman I love is a reward itself. Like the ultimate expression of that love. And if it gets too infrequent then I’d start to wonder if she even loves me. I’m sure she would question if I even like her as well tbh. But once a month is bearable. I’m als…

I can only speak for myself and the men I know. No one enjoys house work but it’s something that has to done. And for me at least, it’s more maintenance than actually big deal. Put things away after use. Put dishes away once the meal is done. Clean the backyard in the morning, walk the dogs around dusk. Drop off the kids going to work, pick them up on the way back. Help with homework when they are back. Take the trash out once a week. Me and my wife usually do take out or eat out so meals aren’t…

I think the last point is a bit more complicated so I agree with you for the most part. There should be a conversation about if the lesser paid person should even work if there are kids involved. Like it’s counterproductive to work if you can’t even make up for child care bills.

I’m getting a clue about the kind of men you’re used to… 1) not true. For the most part at least. Men generally dislike the courtship and dating stage and settle down when they get married. The point of marriage is to secure regular sex. Men who enjoy and are proficient in dating just don’t get into a relationship. 2) this is true but age also decreases men’s sex drive, so it kind of evens out. 3) true, except for the breast part. Men usually like bigger breasts. 4) maybe true, but most men are …

I’ll just say this; Elliot Rodger was a good looking guy. He was well dressed, had money, a nice car. He should have been the full package. And yet he not only didn’t have game, he had anti game. He is the poster boy for incels. On the other hand you have Steven Hawking. Nerd stuck to a wheel chair, can’t even talk without a machine. Needs his piss and shit cleaned for him. The guy flipping burgers or broke college student did not need wealth because he had other indications of potential. Like diligence, commitment, discipline, integrity etc. being wealthy is simply a culmination of those qualities. And yeah, women should factor that into who they choose. I will agree that if that is the ONLY thing you use to attract a women then you’re right. But you’re wrong to think if a woman finds success attractive that it’s false.

There’s something very off about this post. It just assumes the worst of everyone. You’re right, it is shallow and basic. So are you saying people only act good to get something out of other people? That being civil or kind is a manipulation tactic? I guess there are people like that but I sure as hell aren’t one of them. If anything, my wrath is earned. Not my kindness. If I’m upset and rude to you, you earned it because you probably deserve it.

I think you are just wrong. Being a disagreeable person, i simply will call out bad behavior and false information. I’m not going to take things for face value. If your husband divorced you, you can bet he will be not be fond of you when he’s writing a check to every month. I don’t know what your point is. I agreed with, but that is a risk in every marriage so this is hardly mind blowing….
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 01:10 PM

Unfortunately it does cut both ways. And I have been divorced but I would not call my ex a gold digger. I’d call her just evil. And I picked her so it was my fuck up. I don’t blame her income or the difference, I blamed myself and I don’t call her a gold digger. I call her a bad person.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 01:01 PM

So I should have cared about her income because my wife is a gold digger? Then what wouldn’t that make me the gold digger? You’re a so called happily married wife, should we say the person who makes less in your marriage is a gold digger? Let’s not fool ourselves, no marriage is completely equal. In fact, women like when men make more. It’s super attractive and you know it. There are fairy tales, dramas, plays, movies, books all based on that trope. Poor girl lands rich guy. No I don’t care about ambition. I make good money and I fortunately enjoy my job, but at the end of the day I’d rather not work at all. It’s a task I need to do to support myself and my family. I want someone who I can feel at ease with after a busy week of busting my ass. Someone who will appreciate the work I put in and let me be myself. A man that can single handedly handle the expenses of a household has no need to worry about a wife’s income. It good that you go to a nice college. But let m…

Ambition means different things to different people. To you it’s seeing a number in your bank account go up. For me it’s just letting feel like myself when I’m with someone. Not putting on a mask like I do for my job. I won’t say which is more valid. But I prefer my criteria and I’m very happy with my wife.

In my almost 50 years of life I have been in serious debt to making 6 figures. And I never cared about my wife or past girlfriends’ income. Cleaning and food are so easy and cheap to obtain that all I care about is if I enjoy her company.

I corrected which prince it was. You really didn’t know Catherine Middleton married William? And what you think about any of the examples doesn’t change the fact neither of them cared about their partners’ income. Seriously, I made this statement in another post and it wasn’t even a top post. But you’re so in disagreement with it that you made a whole new post just to protest it? I would love if my income wasn’t an issue. But I understand why it is. Why is this so triggering for you?

Sorry I see what you’re getting at, but I still don’t agree. You think Melena knew anything about cultural competence when she started dating Trump? Or Catherine Middleton with Prince William? I don’t think so. They caught the man’s eye and it had nothing to do with their income.

Maybe you could get a millionaire if you put yourself in circles that they frequent. Maybe you’d catch their eye. If I only went for women who were in my tax bracket I wouldn’t be married. My wife could be a waitress at a diner and I’d propose to her. Or she could be a nurse making 6 figures, I’d still propose to her. Everytime no matter her income or lack there of. She’s currently not working and going to school and I’m fine with it as long as she’s happy. Men care about two things; are you goo…

Way to change the goal posts… first it was income now it’s “cultural competence”? You’re not convincing me. Guys don’t care about your income. They care about your looks and your personality. The weird thing is guys would love if women didn’t care about their income. That they are loved for their looks and personality. But somehow you and OP are so butthurt about it.

Yeah, tell that to Jeff Benzos. You think he gave a damn about Lauren Sanchez’s income? Rupert Murdoch left his wife for a nobody, Wendi Deng who was 38 years younger than him. You think either of them cared about their income? Nope.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 04:29 AM

Nope. Not at all. Let’s take Jeff Bezos as an example. Or Rupert Murdoch. Both of them are billionaires and married women that were not even sniffing their own tax bracket. At a certain point, no one is even close to their tax bracket. This is not delusion it just facts. Most wealthy men will date down because 1) they don’t care about the women’s wealth and 2) if they did care they would no one to date. If men had to choose between two women who love him. Men have a version of hypergamy as well; getting someone more attractive than them and/or getting lots of women. But men really don’t care about a woman’s income. And if they do, they are probably broke and need to worry about income, hence not mate material for most women. If men were honest, they also only care about the opinions of hot, attractive women. Everyone is trying to maximize their dating potential.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/26 09:23 PM

Yeah I agree with that. I’m saying your words come off as pick me because you don’t actually like overly emotional men. You attributed, or projected, that you were getting down voted because “men don’t like someone who disagrees”. I am saying you missed the point. Being excited is very different from flying off the handle. Which no one finds attractive and what I was referring to. Which you admitted.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/26 07:13 PM
1

No men expect emotion from women. It’s what draws men to women. But emotional men… that not manly. You say you like when guys get excited over little things, but what about if they get angry over little things? It cuts both ways. You’re getting down voted because you’re being perceived as a pick me. I’m sure you meant what you said but you also did not really get my post.

Causal people have causal sex… that’s obvious. I’m a serious person. I take relationships and all its baggage and responsibilities seriously. If that means I don’t get causal sex then I’m honestly fine with it. To me dating causally is a waste of time and money for something that isn’t going to amount to anything.

I don’t like emotional men. Most men scoff at the sight of a man crying or getting excited over little things. Making a big deal out of nothing isn’t manly nor strong. And I don’t think most women like it either. When a man cries it because something catastrophic has happened. When he laughs it’s from real happiness. “Showing emotion” is reserved for real events, not “I missed the chance to buy my Taylor Swift tickets”. The same can be said about a guy who flies of the handle when he’s upset. An…

I’m saying that doesn’t matter. If you’re gay or an anti natalist it doesn’t matter. It’s evolution. Even if you don’t have kids, the criteria we look for in a mate is the same. You asked why sluts are shamed and I told you; “uncertainty over paternity” and lack of self control. Even if there are things like paternity test, that evolutionary need for certainty is still there. Why do women shame poor men? Because it signals lack of self discipline needed to provide for kids. Why tall and fit guys…

Yes it’s is not specific nor structured but it’s generally true. Going to the gym has many health benefits, building social skills helps you network and make friends. It is more to increase your opportunities in everything, not just finding a mate.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 03:57 PM

They are evolutionarily dead ends. I am religious but it has little to do with anything. Sex and attraction is ultimately an activity that makes kids. What is attractive and what isn’t is hard wired into your brain. It’s not a choice or social construct. You just have sex on your brain, you’re not thinking about the long term effects (kids, family, STDs etc) but the answer you’re looking for “why do people slut shame” is in there. Are you an anti Natalist or hippie now just to win an internet ar…

I am saying sluttiness is an indicator of self discipline. All relationships have an end goal, at least on a primal and evolutionary basis. It’s to make babies. Men want to know they are the father and woman want to know they will cared for. Men will sleep with sluts and never marry them because of this possible lack of self control. Not to mention the real dangers of promiscuity like pregnancy and STDs.

This just doesn’t seem right to me intellectually. The most attractive women will get the most attention. And let’s not pretend that the “it girl” isn’t a thing. Like if you count every women you see a day, what percentage do you actually find attractive? I’d say it’s a small percentage, the same with how women see most men. You only really care about the opinions of women in their 20-early 30’s who are good looking. The rest are just background noise. Exactly what men accuse women of. IMO it’s …

Lustful and high sex drive is completely different from being a slut. Being slut implies lack of self control, the way a broke guy implies lack of ambition or ability. And quite frankly, OP’s take “I want slutty women because I’ll get laid” is quite frankly gross. Get a professional, don’t try to ruin things for the rest of us who see relationships as more than just sex all the time.

You said it yourself. You’re not weak. Capable men are evil. Hence you are evil. Your words. I don’t even know what you advocating for. It has always been the law of the jungle. The most qualified man will get the job, the most charming man will get the girl, the smartest man will have more published papers. It’s has always been that simple. That’s not evil. That just life. Would you prefer feudalism where everything is passed down from birth?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 03:57 AM

So you’re evil because you’re not weak? Are you one of these “psychopathic criminals”? I think you’re missing the plot. So being competent and skilled is somehow a vice? Capable people can be evil or good, you’re confabulating the two to give weak men an excuse to stay weak. Men are struggling, they do need guidance but this is definitely not it. In fact, it’s the opposite of it. “Stay weak, get benefits” is not the message.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 03:36 AM

I don’t know what you are talking about anymore. If a man becomes powerful by himself (like all real men do) then he is your counterpart thus proving you wrong. Weak people are ones that hide from struggle, from discomfort, from their flaws, from the truth. They don’t need more “protection”. They need to confront themselves and change for the better without shortcuts. You’re not weak. You just want to convince yourself so you don’t have to put in the work to improve. I’ve seen your type. Strictly speaking yes we are. But as humans we have many ways to have power and influence beyond our ability to inflict death and pain. If one method doesn’t work find another. Only a weak man would say they are hopeless and need protection. You are confusing protection with support. Everyone should have the same opportunities. But not special treatment.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:51 AM

No. If anything we should discourage weakness and encourage integrity. Why should we cuddle people who are already overly sheltered? This might be the softest thing I’ve ever read. Everyone should know that they can succeed if they bother trying but not be given special treatment to get there. This is honestly some weak ass crabs in the barrel shit that keeps you weak and wants to drag society down as well.

I’ll start by saying i agree with you. Some men have it in their head that they should guilt women into liking them, instead of improving themselves to be worthy of female attention. But on the other hand, would you say the same for women who say the same thing while being overweight/rude/entitled? It sucks that you see men this way, but it’s encouraging that you know it’s a biased viewpoint. If it makes you feel any better, many men (including the one on this very subreddit) also have a bias view of women. Many men also feel like women have the pick of the litter and choose “assholes” over them. You line of thinking is not novel. But your ability to see that isn’t really the case set you apart. The stigma arises from the mindset of “damn I wish my man could do that for me” and “damn I wish I was able to do that for my wife”. But I’d say your situation is a bit more precarious because you’re a girlfriend. You don’t want to be dependent on someone before he’s committed. Yes men want children. A life without commitments is a free life but also a meaningless one. That said, it can be a chain to bind you in a bad marriage, which is why it is so important for men to have discernment about who your partner is.

I personally agree but for most of history this has not been the case. Many marriages in the upper class (ie nobility and royalty) had to marry “for the greater good” which is more “for family wealth and prestige”. Royalty had even less choice since it was a matter of national security. No choice was really given, at most you had 3-4 suitors from inbred houses. I’m sorry others have tainted the idea for you. Maybe I’m a rare man that finds sex to be scared. Almost like a communion between two people. And yeah with the right person it can feel like the best thing ever. Maybe I live with an idealistic perspective, or maybe you need to widen yours.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 12:58 AM

We are getting off topic. The OP was asking about men’s view on sex. I think many people forget the ultimate purpose of sex and it isn’t pleasure (although that is an incentive). It’s to procreate. Everything you named is to ensure survival of yourself and your family. Your morals and interests reflect what kind of person you are, your values that you will hopefully pass on to your children as well as act as a screen to find a compatible partner. Especially true for men.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/26 10:47 PM

I think you are confabulating main driving force with only driving force. And I have to ask; why is it so hard to admit. It’s not my main driving force now either, but that’s after I already have two kids. You’re telling me your family isn’t a source of meaning for you? Am I supposed think you’re so noble for that? What’s so shameful of just admitting that making and caring for a family is a major source of meaning in one’s life?

You are alive because your parents decided to have sex and create you. We all are. Tell me otherwise and you’re lying.

Because sex is the driving force of life. It is the closest physical connection you can have with another person. Why do people need to stigmatize something so beautiful? That’s what I’m hearing from this post.

Because no man wants to feel like second place. It’s not morally wrong but it’s not attractive. I’m not proposing to a woman who views me as a consolation prize. No self respecting man would. Just like no self respecting woman would sleep around with a bunch of men and risk pregnancy and STIs. It’s called having standards.

As someone who is married to a woman 20 years younger than me (and in her 20’s) I definitely don’t agree. But only to a certain degree. Physically I’m not as fit or appealing as I was in my 20’s. But everything else? I’ll exponentially better. That being said, her age isn’t what attracted me or made me propose. That’s good discernment. And that’s also something that comes with age. If you wear it well.

Maybe. But having an answer to everything is not the same as being right. Statistics and graphs won’t get girls to swoon over you. I can admit the red pill has some things right but at the end of the day, facts don’t translate to connection. Ben Shapiro once said that a woman doesn’t need to climax or even be in the mood to conceive a child. And he’s right, but I doubt any of us would aspire to be like that.

I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding of what the wall is meant for. It’s a warning that you should take dating seriously in your prime years to lock down someone serious, not a “high value man”. Whatever that means. And let’s be honest, men in their 20’s are never “high value” unless they are a trust fund babies. Men in their 20’s are low value compared to men in their 30’s and 40’s. Thats just normal. So in a way, you are right, it is to favor low value men. Because men in the age ra…

Your statistic about Gen Z men is discouraging but doesn’t prove your point. I think your mindset is wrong when it comes to flirting. If you see a cute girl don’t start fantasies in your head about what she looks like naked, what you’ll name your kids, the wedding that you’ll have etc. she’s just a girl who is a stranger. And if she rejects you, that all she will ever be. But if you do have a nice conversation and get to know her who knows? Think of it as high reward, low risk.

I think men do like the chase. But they don’t like the process of getting good at it. Which can be seen as a humiliation ritual. It’s like a dark souls game, you just die and die and you think about quitting. But once it clicks, nothing feels better. I don’t think it’s just about dating either. You want to git gud at anything, you need to practice, fail and learn. Flirting and dating is no exception

There is definitely a skill issue. I have a friend who is 5’6”, not a millionaire (decent middle class income), a 5 on a good day, no college degree and he pulls girls easy even in his mid 30’s. While my son who is 19, is 6’2”, going to college, and is closer to a 7-8 in looks can’t get a girlfriend at all. Just talking to both of them you can tell why. Social skills is way more than just laid you know? And social skills is definitely a real thing no matter what you MBPI. Saying it’s not real or…
