Do women on here understand why men don't like being seen as the "safe" option?I love, love, love the way you think! Yes, not everything is black and white, it’s always shades of grey and there always will be exceptions to the rule. Unfortunately I am the type guy that will hold out for that mythical unicorn. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/10/24 10:07 PM
Do women on here understand why men don't like being seen as the "safe" option?Yes and stole tens of thousands, probably losing my home now so yeah, I’m done with her. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/10/24 06:52 PM
Do women on here understand why men don't like being seen as the "safe" option?Ohh, well married for a long, long (~30 years) time but people change and she has mad decisions over the past year that have imploded my life. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/10/24 06:42 PM
Do women on here understand why men don't like being seen as the "safe" option? It’s a perception as much as anything I think. I need to feel safe with a woman I find attractive before I’m willing to go past talking/dates. My first priority when dating is to make her feel safe, I don’t want her to feel unsafe around me at all. Feeling safe and being a safe guy aren’t the same though. Being a safe guy doesn’t imply to most men that they make their SO feel safe, it implies they were chosen because they weren’t risky, they weren’t ONS or hookup material but were a guy you migh… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/10/24 06:07 PM
Do women on here understand why men don't like being seen as the "safe" option?Pretty much except in my world what is attractive is t just appearance, it’s everything. Beauty is skin deep and only gets you in the door. A woman may be a 2/10 but your personality is 10/10 and I’ll be insanely attracted to you. As in want to jump your bones twice a day or more. I may be in the minority of men but I greatly value honesty and intelligence and if you are even remotely attractive physically you are instantly boosted high in my perception with personality. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/10/24 05:53 PM
Do women on here understand why men don't like being seen as the "safe" option?Usually settling for the “safe guy” heavily implies they aren’t sexually exciting or attractive enough to be a good choice to start with. I don’t believe most people that settle for the safe option are looking for a sexually adventurous, attractive and desirable spouse. Just being referred to as a safe choice says they didn’t crank up your desire otherwise they wouldn’t be referred to as safe. They would be the guy that swept them off their feet, gave them butterflies and proved he could also ma… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/10/24 05:40 PM
Do women on here understand why men don't like being seen as the "safe" option? When I was 16yo, I transformed from the nice guy to the bad boy, got into drinking and partying, was pretty much not the boy girls brought home. Before I was 16yo I had a few dates and one short term GF. After 16yo, I never had an issue getting a date a relationship or anything. I was the embodiment of a bed boy but wasn’t really a bad guy. I never cheated, never lied to them, never even played the silly games. Girls liked the bad boy and bad boys won the girls, it was that way until the day I g… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/10/24 05:37 PM
Do women on here understand why men don't like being seen as the "safe" option?I agree with you here, too many men want a plaything, an object to have. I want a partner, my equal, someone to challenge me and relate. I also want her to be sexually turned on by me and want me intimately, emotionally, intellectually and sexually. Anything less and I’d rather just be alone. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/10/24 05:30 PM
Do women on here understand why men don't like being seen as the "safe" option?Honesty and integrity for one. I’m perhaps too honest and won’t ask a woman out if I’m not sexually attracted to her. Then, if we mesh personalities and overall compatibilities are close enough then we can move forward. If she was never really attracted to me or sexually turned on by me then a huge part of the equation needed for a happy and successful relationship is missing. I’d rather she just say no than yes only to not be interested in intimacy or sex with me. I would feel used as an emotio… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/10/24 05:28 PM
Do women on here understand why men don't like being seen as the "safe" option? For me, I want a woman to feel safe, know that I’m all in and would move heaven and earth for her. I want to relate, to emotionally support and be supported, to be vulnerable to her and for her to feel safe enough to be vulnerable to me. I also want her to look at me sometimes like a slab of beef to use sexually, take what she wants and make sure I know that she wants me. I want someone that’s willing to show me both love and attraction, to make me feel loved and wanted. Being the safe choice he… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/10/24 05:25 PM
