You have to chase. But not appear like you’re too invested (my big mistake). It’s a big paradox me and many men haven’t solved yet. The best advice especially if you’re new like me is just go for it even if you make a fool of yourself for the first few time. Only then will you learn A needy guy who actually approaches women wins over men who just doesn’t.

How to set yourself as different from other orbiters?

Just walk away. If you’re a great guy and someone who’s serious about her and you offer her a chance at something real, walking away dangles a “what could have been” before her. She may or may not chase back, but you keep your dignity intact.

Oh man. I wish someone told me this sooner. Thank you.

Thank you. Maybe I finally made her feel something, at least (she claims to like guys who challenge her). Regardless, I really don’t have the energy for her and leaving everything at my last message is probably the best I can do. At least I learned that being emotional is something I don’t want to be.

She kept cancelling due to work related reasons - which is fine, I guess. I lost it when she cancelled because of a nail appointment… But the biggest red flag was that she was not initiating to reschedule and I should have noted that earlier.

Great insight. Someone said that the best way to ensure she will not reach out is to message her.

Noted, sometimes I’ve thought that by defusing the tension with an apology, it’s me who’s closing the door. In any case, I don’t really think of her very much right now. I still think she’s great but I lost all energy to pursue her.

Yes, I’ve considered that she would lose all respect for me again if I send an apology. I may have been stupid not to cut her off earlier but I’m not the one who toyed with the emotions of another person. Honestly I just wish I have said everything in a better manner.

Honestly I just didn’t like how I acted. I know she doesn’t care for me or my opinion anymore, but I care alot what I think of myself. I never had to burn bridges before because I like to communicate. But I get what you are saying.

Thank you. Great read. I feel like if enforced my boundaries better, we would have an earlier discussion on where I stand. And less ambiguity

Honestly it’s also on me for assuming things

And I’ve put a stop to it. I was gracious, if anything, because they were work related reasons for cancellations. I just don’t feel a great energy from her anymore.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
