I don't think that analogy stands at all, maybe i'm wrong though. How would you apply that thinking to a real world scenario? I'm honestly struggling to see how being betrayed then forced to pay for a child is acceptable in any sense. Enlighten me?

You seem to miss the point that her actions, if she got away with it would have absolutely destroyed the reputation, life, future and mental health of the human she attacked. I agree that we shouldn't arbitrarily apply a sentence for another crime upon the one she committed, but I also think her crime deserves at least an equivalent punishment to which her innocent victim would have received, had she been successful in attacking them.

Quality checks like this are objective too, it's telling people that they need to be able to achieve and perform at a certain standard to be effective in a role. It's not even remotely related to male or female capabilities, lowering the bar to let someone in to fill the role, male or female, is a bit bloody dangerous.

I know what analogies are. I'm wondering why so many people are making such a week analogy. If you look at it in a one dimentioned way as you put forward here then sure it might sound like it makes sense. How many children carry mace? Knives? A gun? If a Woman attacks a Man, she is a potential threat, simple as. Sure, if you can put a stop to a fight without hurting them then go ahead. But if a Woman attacks a Man she can no longer fall back on excuses of being physically weak.
