It really is I actually think it's kind of sad to see such a legitimate and needful movement be ruined by insane and/or hateful people

MGTOW (or at least its followers) is definitely predominantly right wing Recruitment isn't always about explicitly telling people to join a certain subreddit or website or whatever. It's often about argumenting in bad faith or using strawmen to persuade people which is disingenious. Representing yourself and your beliefs isn't wrong no, but using fallacies and bad faith to do so is which is to my observations done overwhelmingly often

I do my best to call out toxic people on there toxicity but I have noticed a trend in outrage culture in general that is generalizing a whole group based on someones actions and then using it as a recruitment ground for your own group. It happens everywhere but imo it's more prevalent in right wing communities (such as MGTOW, let's face it) especially with terms such as redpilling someone being used frequently. And if you consider it evil, it is like a necessary evil that is needed to counter th…

The argument of "don't like it leave" is no argument imo. It's a dumb excuse in the face of criticism That being said yes i believe MGTOW can be a healthy movement or mindset. Know your worth, have standards and the like but the way many people in said movement (and this subreddit) think and the things they post is just ... retarded

Accountable for what exactly? E: Unrelated but took a look at your comments. Buzzwords galore

And what is the problem exactly? I also like how this post has undertones that the average man is an incel which is not true

Why would I want to talk to women Good question. Why talk about them so much then?

Calm the generalizations there bud. You seem awfully frustrated but then again why should that be a surprise

Whether they're interesting or not is subjective. What you find boring someones whole world revolves around

Because shes a person

So in order to find a woman interesting you have to bang her? Alrighty then

If you view people as boring you're gonna have boring relations with them.

Lmfao that driving was ridiculous I agree that women should not under any circumstance get paid equally to their higher-performing male counterparts, you should be paid after the work you do, not the kind of chromosomes that are in you. They have contributed a lot to society, though (take Marie Curie as a great example). More women should be in STEM because it's a higher paid field. More women should also be in construction because it's a necessary field, same as more men should be in the 'care'…

Manspreading sure is nice though, I'm doing it too. I definitely will do it next time, doesen't matter if your comment was sarcastic or not.

When I first came here I thought that all the top posts were unironic, which I have learned was false. I also thought that it was some kind of mildly radical movement/group, which also was false. I was looking for the people that you could draw parallels to with tumblr SJWs and "feminists" and unfortionately some have shown up. 95% of other comments are perfectly fine though, including yours. Thanks for the answers!

First of all, thank you for taking the time to write this all out. Secondly, I think some paralells can be drawn to modern-day tumblr "feminists" (read: feminazis), in that some flat-out refuse contact with the opposing gender because of reasons. I agree that false rape accusations are horrible and should never happen, but the mere existence of women does not guarantee that. If that was your mindset you'd probably not go outside of fear of being mugged. That said, shit like that does happen and …

Trad Cons have better arguements and pass the minimum bar for honest dialogue. And that's exactly what I'm saying. I couldn't give a shit less about someone mumbling on about the """"patriarchy"""" or """manspreading""" or """mansplaining""" and whatever the fuck they come up with next. I don't associate with them and I will not ever do that. Ya know calling myself a feminist was dumb. I should have said something along the lines of "im for equality" or some shit like that, because that wouldn't…

Sharing viewpoints and stories on ie how you've been sexually assaulted or crazy ex court stories etc etc is something I fully support. I however thought this sub was very political and therefore took things here quite literally. Are the SJW-like people here any common?

If you didn't notice the word "feminist" in the post was between these two things: "". Those are called citation marks. With them I meant that they themselves call each other feminists even though they are clearly not, just a bunch of fat, smelly, man-hating losers. Additionally, great work on keeping it civil! I give a quick and honest response to a question you asked and this is what I get in return. Also, you don't want to have a discussion with anyone who isn't a tradcon? You truly ARE like …

I see I see, I thought that the sub was meant to have a political view on things and not be politically incorrect jokes.

I agree with that

I'd call myself a feminist but as in the textbook way. None of this patriarchy shit, just equality without exceptions because that's good
/r/MGTOW07/04/18 10:48 PM

I understand what you're saying, and I agree. My question was however aimed at the more mysoginistic posters here

Well it seems to be shitting on women so I'd call it hate. Even if it doesen't happen in real life it still qualifies imo, correct me if I'm wrong

I'm all up for debate just a civil one. What is your 'standpoint' on women? If it's bad, explain why it is so

If you're wondering what I'm comparing this sub to it's the stuff that you find on r/tumblrinaction. I'm mostly referencing the top posts here because while some are memes a lot of them are posts about how women just want money, have fucked 200 guys, have it easier than men etc, which imo is exactly the kind of behaviour you find posted on r/tumblrinaction. I get that this sub is originally about financial advice and stuff like that but it also contains hate.

Also, I feel having a discussion with defensive childish people like you is just like talking to a wall. There is no need to get defensive and call me a soy boy just because I happen to disagree with you.

"Women are always happier than men. This is why we get blamed for everything." Firstly, its in the title itself. Secondly, is this some sort of attempt on shifting the blame? Ie "hurr durr women are angry at me it cant possibly be my fault theyre always unhappy durr". They may be unhappier, it may be true, but thats just childish come on
/r/MensRights09/01/18 03:26 PM
1

I didnt assume you meant all of em but it sure sounded like it. I dont head into discussions with a fixed mindset. Generalisation can either be bad or good; saying that all women are unhappy is a perfectly good example of bad generalisation.
/r/MensRights09/01/18 03:20 PM

Kind of implies all women though, still generalization

I got your point and I agree to a certain point, apologies for not making that clear. However, my point is that it varies from person to person and relationship to relationship, and therefore you cannot say all women are unhappy because many are happy and men can be damn unhappy too.
/r/MensRights08/01/18 04:48 PM

That does not mean we have to put up with them. Choosing a partner is a lengthier process for a woman, yes, but still does not mean it cannot be done and she is not satisfied. Some women will never be satisfied, neither will some men. This statement is ridiculous and false because it generalises too much. Although it may be true, women may overall be unhappier than men, there are still damn happy women out there.
/r/MensRights08/01/18 01:43 PM

Im not especially surprised OP is a r/the_donald subscriber, making claims as ridiculous as these
/r/MensRights08/01/18 12:47 PM

Oh come on. Saying that you have to 'deal' with women is just ridiculous. Sure, overall they may be needier than men, but this isn't always true, not by a long shot. If you think your partner is too needy or your relationship isn't working out, sit down and talk it through it them. If you can't do that and be comfortable maybe a relationship was not a good idea in the first place.

Tbh it seems like the cause is society itself and not necessarily any biological differences. What I mean is that men are 'forced' to always keep a straight face and not carry emotions (which from experience is hurtful as fuck), while women are free to express their emotions however they like. This, along with the relationships the culture tends to set between friends of the same gender (ie going to the pub and laughing vs having sleepovers and talking boyfriends and similar stuff) tends to crea…

Tbh pretty much everyone who have strong opinions regarding one gender or another tend to be moronic and can easily be deemed untrustworthy by anyone somewhat reasonable.
