The most interesting scene in that movie is the one where his girlfriend shames him for doing his own house cleaning and tells him it's unmasculine. I wonder how many women feel that way. I'm very well off but I still clean my own house and take some pleasure in doing so.

Not only is this old Jeopardy joke so overused and boring, but it's also unwarranted and screams insecurity. Like everything on the internet, I can't know if this post is true, but it easily could be.

This is such BS. You have absolutely zero idea what these women's situation is or if they're cheating. There are plenty of rich guys in Ukraine who have the resources to send their wives to safety while the war is going on.

Maybe I didn't express myself clearly. It's just a fact that there are trade offs and downsides to being either single or in a long-term relationship. So it's really not about FOMO, because it's not about fear. It's about acknowledging the fact that one misses out on things no matter which of those choices one makes. Being aware of that is just being realistic. I can be comfortable with the choice I've made--willing to accept the tradeoff--while still being aware of the truth that there are some…

This is the right take. There is no correct choice. Both choices carry tradeoffs and downsides. You just need to decide which you prefer on balance, but even then, and no matter which choice you make, you're going to feel pangs of regret and FOMO.

Girls do like to flirt with taken guys. It feels low-stakes and non-threatening, and they have plausible deniability to flirt without being called a ho. Maybe this dude really was more charming than you, but you should also recognize that successful flirting is easier for dudes with gfs. I also highly doubt he's gunning for you specifically. He just enjoys flirting. Now maybe he's playing a game where he's actually still on the hunt even though he supposedly has a gf, but I don't think that's a …

Forget her and move on. She;s not worth one more ounce of your time and attention. Get to the gym and start meeting other girls.

So you lied to them about going to meet a friend upstairs. Didn't they think it was weird when they saw you again and your friend never appeared? I've tried going out alone, but I feel like the lack of a wingman makes me seem inherently creepy.

This is a good post with some good insights. I'm not here to throw shade, but this post misses an important point. OP says: You guys are trying so hard to get with women that I guarantee you probably wouldn't even enjoy being around anyway. The thing is, though, spending time with — and especially having sex with — hot girls is its own reward. In theory, her personality could be so terrible that it spoils the pleasure, but this is rare. It's delusional to comfort yourself in failure by saying, "…

If my use of SA to get laid without paying, in consensual encounters, makes it more difficult for older, fatter guys to pay for it, I'm losing zero sleep over it. It doesn't violate SA's terms. It doesn't violate any abstract ethical principle. It's just annoying to you.

Where is the site clear about that? Do you have a screenshot? Actually SA is intentionally unclear and ambiguous to avoid legal problems.

I've lived in China for 11 years, about half in Shanghai, and this is all pretty much true. As I've posted here before, it's pretty easy to build attraction with girls, but especially in 1st tier cities, they all know at this point that foreigners like to fool around, so very quickly they start assessing whether they have a chance to tie you down. Otherwise they don't wanna waste time.

OP makes a lot of good points, but it also has to be said that most women are also very dissatisfied with dating apps, which is why we've seen new apps pop up that appeal to them. Their complaints are different in some ways, e.g. lewd comments, guys just want sex. But in other ways they're similar. They also feel that guys have too many choices and too easy to get laid, therefore no commitment. No doubt that it's objectively easier for girls to get laid than guys, but girls still feel that guys …

I'm politically left, but I still find TRP persuasive when it comes to sexual strategy. Obviously I recognize that there is overlap and affinity between aspects of TRP and conservative thought, but TRP tells us basically nothing about economics. Income and wealth inequality are out of control, and rich people dominate the political process. And it's not because a few rich supermen are so damn competent and awesome at their jobs. It's because laws, regulations, economic and tax policy are stacked…

Good wives still available in Asia, at least I hope. I'm thinking of taking one in particular but TRP has totally messed with me on marriage and she wants that for sure.

That hashtag is pure trolling. I'm also tired of hearing other-sexuals demanding that we celebrate as well as tolerate their lifestyle, but the answer isn't to just be a dick about stuff

OP is inaccurate. The mayor of cologne said “There are no indications that this involved people who have sought shelter in Cologne as refugees." http://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/06/world/europe/coordinated-attacks-on-women-in-cologne-were-unprecedented-germany-says.html

I'm on board with he overall sentiment, but some of your behavior sounds needlessly assholic. If she's already cooked for you, I don't think it's beta to walk over and shovel the prepared food onto your own plate if she asks

Yeah that about covers it. Options 1 and 2 have basically been my life for the last 8 years. It's kind of exhausting and demoralising but I still think marriage would be worse.

Surprised to see so much pro-marriage sentiment in this thread
/r/TheRedPill07/07/15 05:15 PM

If we take TRP to be anti-marriage, then one wouldn't be thankful for girls who insist on marriage. But obviously there's a camp here that still wants marriage with the right kind of girl. The debate continues. One point of my post is the irony that Asia is thought of as a place where white dudes go to get laid more easily, but in some ways it's actually harder, at least if you're a classical anti-marriage TRPer like me. Although honestly this girl makes me imagine settling down.

They come in all types. The LTR I had in Beijing girl from a good local family matched your description: a princess, couldn't do anything. And sometimes the ones from elsewhere living alone in the city are actually even more no-nonsense and less game to fool around because they've tasted bitterness and are determined to play their cards right. But the one I'm circling now is from Shanghai: cooks, plays music, dances ballet. I'm pretty tempted to take her

Yes I'm talking about the intelligence that is relevant to chess. It's partially innate, like math. Obviously no one is born knowing advanced math, but talent helps some people learn it a lot faster and better

No actually natural talent plays a big role in chess. Nigel Short has practiced chess more than you, but he's probably also more talented

Yes exactly. There is no basic right to do whatever you want in a foreign country. The government gets to decide who they allow in

This is nonsense. TRP should be about pointing out general tendencies, not about stating with ontological certainty that all women are sluts ("These girls don't exist"). What is this post meant to prove? Either he's expressing something obviously, trivially true -- that no individual is a saint with no selfish qualities -- or he's saying something obviously wrong and absurdly misanthropic, which is that all women are terrible people. The truth is of course much more ambiguous. Women behave badly…

Can't say I disagree with any of this in theory. Clearly solo travel worked well for this guy. But personally I found it difficult when I traveled solo in Italy and Holland a while back. There are definitely a lot of girls around open to meeting people, especially at youth hostels. But felt that guys who were there with another male friend or or two, or even a mixed group had a huge advantage. It's automatic social proof. Walking around alone at the hostel bars I felt like I was a sketchy lurker…
