You're ignoring the possibility of evidence tampering. The courts have procedures for a reason, and the vast majority of the time it's to prevent shady shit from happening. If the chain of custody for the evidence was broken then it's inadmissible in court because you can't prove that the evidence wasn't tampered with. But since the article doesn't go into details about how the evidence was improperly submitted we can't actually tell whether the judge was out of line.

We need a better variety of male contraceptives. Right now we either have condoms or vasectomies. And vasectomies can cause permanent infertility in the long run.
