You seem to have trouble understanding what eating more means. Functionally, it usually means more calories. You're using terminology that isn't really codified and acting like you're right because of it. A guy eating a 400g healthy dish will get filled just as much as if he ate a 400g burger with tons of sauce, but not the same calories, CICO. Not true. Carbs, and sugars especially, lower cortisol levels, and different people feel more satisfied with different foods. According to your logic, th…

No, this is a good example - the link you provided makes a claim, but when you follow the Massachusetts study, there's not data.

Both my parents worked full time. Cool, my mom stayed home, but my dad was still a better parent. It's not about the time spent, it's about do you actually love your kids. If my parents had split up when I was a kid as opposed to when I was grown I should have 100% gone with my dad.

Because that partner declined to participate in their upbringing. If you think being a father who works full time is "declining to participate in their upbringing" I have to wonder what the fuck your family life was like growing up. And it's not a matter of declining; as I mentioned, very often mothers will demand the primacy of being the primary caregiver for that exact reason. A couple I knew who was going through an amicable divorce had the wife get a bunch of messages saying to not let her h…

He sought even physical custody (since they both still lived in the same town), it was denied because she was the primary caregiver. Since she started divorce proceedings while he was still the primary breadwinner, she got to maintain that.

That's what I followed. The Massachusetts study doesn't have data.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 09:49 PM

Most women aren't actually looking for a male partner who makes them feel physically safe - they're looking for a male partner who makes them feel socially safe. i.e. do their female peers approve of him, etc. Much of the time they will use a feeling of physical insecurity to make what they're actually feeling (social insecurity) and pretend their situation is more dire than it actually is.

Data is factual Cool, where's the actual data? Because it's not shown in those links, they just make claims.

They are working fine for everyone else. OP's links don't work. Most men do not seek full custody or even 50/50. The scant few who do, usually win. No, the source provided has no data for that claim. It is not a credible source. $3,500 per year wouldn't provide rice for a child in a developing country. That amount is irrelevant to the situation.

Women abuse their male partners just as much. I don't understand what your point is. And I don't believe those kind of rape/DV statistics. One of them called any guy who "choked" a partner a domestic abuser - without asking if the choking was consensual! If that was the case I've abused most of my sex partners, nevermind they asked me to put my hands on their throat because they're into that.

OP and others like them are perfectly find using womens' feelings as justification for anything; the message is "mens' feelings don't matter, womens' do."

Obviously the parent who raised the children from pregnancy has the right to make that call. And by that you mean "the mother." Nice try, bigot. Fathers deserve rights too, no matter how much you hate them for being born male. Love to see it, but we all know that is never going to happen. I literally have a friend whose wife divorced him because he wanted to work less to spend more time with the kids. She did it and had his income imputed so he owed her child support based on how much he was wor…

There isn’t any other interpretation of “most cases don’t require a lawyer or go before a judge”. Then that claim you're making isn't true.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 09:25 PM
3

It actually doesn't. It doesn't really cite its sources, just makes a claim. Even the supposed study in Massachusetts doesn't show its numbers or data. It's very suspect. From that study: "It is not possible to calculate exactly the percentage of cases in which fathers sought custody." Oh really? Then why are they making claims. I don't see any room for statistical error in their numbers. It's all bullshit.

OP I'm getting errors with the custody statistics you've posted, the links don't seem to work.

The stats are in the OP, and I've posted them again elsewhere in the thread. Do you have another source? They're returning errors when I try to click on them. Men don't want their kids Nope, incorrect. they want to be part time fathers and leave the majority of the upbringing to their wives Incorrect, it's just their only option because women demand they be provider drones.

Kids with wealthy parents are entitled to whatever lifestyle provided to them. It doesn't matter if a handful of angry men believes that Costner's kids should suffer since his wife left, chances are pretty high that he doesn't want to significantly lower their quality of life. Well, what if their parents want to pull them out of private school? Oh yeah, this paradigm supposes that only the mother has the right to make that call. What if the male partner wants to work less to spend more time with…

Most men don't even want their kids half the time, so they definitely aren't going into battle. Most of those who do go to bat for their kids win. Stats on that?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 09:14 PM
1

Then one will be in better health than the other. Yes, but not to the degree that their lifestyle would actually indicate - there's a strong genetic component there. And if you take a look at obesity cases, you'll notice that most of them don't eat more, they eat worse. CICO, buddy. No, obese people tend to eat more calories.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 09:09 PM

I suspect most TRP men are in no position to guess the cost of private schools, hobbies, and security. Private schools are a luxury across much of the US. Nobody's entitled to that shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 09:08 PM
2

Why should the kids quality of life suffer? Good question. Why should they be taken away from the partner who can support them?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 09:07 PM

That deflection is addressed in the very same quote you provided. No it's not. Every time these statistics get quoted they show that men are disadvantaged in custody proceedings, but then there are articles written claiming the opposite. Something's fishy.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 09:06 PM

Genetics were the same 30 years ago, so how do you explain the rise of obesity even though the genetic component was just as important back then ? CICO, no problem. Physics is still true. Answer: Because it's people habits that leads to most obesity cases, not genetics, especially at an older age Habits are inextricable from genetics in a lot of cases. Habits are partially controlled by genetics. Like let's take Harry. Harry overeats, but it's ok, because Harry works on a pre-WWII farm in the mi…

Women leave relationships and marriages all the time because their partner is emotionally unavailable. Given Brené Brown's work, that seems unlikely. Now, it seems likely that women would say that, but women react with hostility towards men who are open and vulnerable, in most cases, not with love. In fact being vulnerable can be a prelude to the loss of love and affection. If "emotional availability" is code for "anticipates my emotional needs and satisfies them, while not demanding any emotion…

Hormones can make you hungry, they can't make you eat. They can make you more stressed if you don't. The exact study you linked says 40-50% of the variability is explained by genetics, why are you making up numbers and saying 60%? Keep reading. It says in the case of obesity it's different. More recent research shows that the genetic component is very, very important, and explains at least 60% of the body weight of people who are obese..) And yet you pull it off, because while hormone balance can certainly make it more challenging, you can't defy physics I'm guessing you're not understanding the point because you don't even have a cursory understanding of biology. Which I believe is a little misleading It's entirely misleading. Emotional invulnerability is attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 09:40 PM
15

No, this is incorrect. Brené Brown's work showed that it's not about trauma dumping, it's that women want their male partner's inner emotional life to center around her and react with hostility when they don't. Women don't like emotional vulnerability in men. They like emotional openness, when a man is open and has his defenses down but still can't be hurt. They like emotional invulnerability. Obviously this is a generalization and not all women are like that, especially not all of the time. But…

"Weight set point" is absolute garbage science, it's not even science You didn't really make an argument in your post. Some people have different hormone balances to where their body tells them they're always hungry. I get it to where my stomach is so full its uncomfortable but my body is still hungry. I have to put a lot more work in to stay at a healthy weight than most people.

A female friend explained it as, "many men view a woman being unattractive as a moral failing" and that is reinforced every day on this sub. Women are more prone to the halo effect than men, so women are more likely to think being unattractive is a moral failing than men.

It’s amusing to me that you think that every attractive man is a decent guy. It's because otherwise /u/jnroberts42 would have to acknowledge that there's a lot of women who chase hot guys who treat them poorly, and then turn around and blame less successful men for the sins of the hot guys who used them and left them. Less sex negative and more consent positive. No, it's not really "consent positive." Most women find giving enthusiastic consent to be a turnoff; it's this weird impossible standard where everyone says that affirmative consent is the standard in public, but with individual women if you check for consent you're likely to be kicked out of bed. They want a guy who "just knows."
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 09:20 PM

Basically, feminism is becoming much more sex negative. Yup, feminism got presented with the dilemma that being sex-positive would mean being positive about male sexuality. In the face of that, it decided to abandon sex positivity.

It sounds like you might need to learn to let women know you are not able to listen to them emotionally dumping on you If you do that, they'll be extremely hostile towards you for it, including breaking up with you. They will never have time for you to vent in the same way, though.

I'm sure it's not a gender thing and just that some people really love to vent without empathy to how the other is feeling about it. Nah, go look on advice about communication and how men are wrong to offer women help and solutions for the problems in their lives. It's everywhere.

Women can be friends with men too, so it's not an "only men can solve" kind of problem. I think you just think lonely men are unworthy and are trying to come up with reasons they should be ostracized and invalidated.

Must we infantilize these guys? To the same degree we "infantilize" women in similar situations. For guys it's difficult because the societal messaging is constantly "women can't abuse men, and if you think she's abusing you, suck it up and do what she wants. Your job is to provide for her." There are other scripts for women but the way men and women have to deal with abuse is different, typically.

I don’t think that would happen in this commenters case because he can prove that he’s the main caretaker and provider. How? If he's working full-time and she's not she's going to have custody. Especially given the sexist bias in the court system. She could also get an evaluation for postpartum depression. How would that help? It would be seen as more of a reason to keep the kids with the mom, unlike when a father is mentally unwell.

Listen, there are men in the therapy subreddits who talk about how if you have an abusive mother, don't get a female therapist because she will defend your abusive mother and fuck with your head. Can you give an example of this happening? A woman asks her man to open up about what he's worried about, hoping to get something like "I'm worried if something happens to you because then I'll be alone." Something to fuel her ego and make her feel needed. But then it turns out he's worried about something that has nothing to do with her, so she gets mad and shames him for being weak. Check out Brené Brown's work on this topic, this is fairly common behavior for women.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 09:57 PM

That’s not completely true because some older women say that they love not getting attention from strangers. I think they're only comfortable with this because they're getting attention somewhere else. If they were getting literally none they would not be down.

A partner will not save you, only you can save you. The issue is that healthy relationships cause good mental health, not the other way around (or at least not as strongly). So you need to find someone good to be happy. Like, I agree that a non-trivial part of this issue is how mothers raise their boys. By mums aren't intentionally damaging their boys emotionally. They are trying to do the best job they can and the societal framework around is is reinforcing the issues. Well, their bias is definitely there. I don't know if there's a polite way to express that. And the bias that K-12 teachers have against boys just needs to be treated like the discrimination it is. Looking at problems as systemic issues and peop…

Am avoidant attachment style isn’t bad until your avoidant actions hurt others or make them feel worthless. In most cases, that’s the result of these attachment styles which is why people often seek healthier ways to connect with others. Sure, but if your female partner doesn't actually care much about your emotions and has hostility towards your vulnerability, as is the case for most partnered men, you're not going to be able to heal. You need to find someone who actually gives a fuck.

Most single women don't have regular sex lives Define "regular." I think most "single" women under 40 are rarely going a month without having sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 08:04 PM

This is a societal and systemic issue. Men are part of the problem. Women are part of the problem. Everyone needs to fix this. This isn't a 'women are shitty' problem. That oversimplifies the issue and demonises women. It's toxic. Read my post again. I said we need to not "just put it all on men." I said we need to blame women who are being shitty, and given the context, I was implying that we are already blaming men who are being shitty.

In my experience it’s men who feel that way. It’s men who feel they are unworthy but that may be a result of how they feel women treated them but I don’t think it’s intentional on the part of women. In my experience women behave that way. There are women in my workplace who stated that they wish the workplace was all women, so they wouldn't have to deal with men unless they were horny and could use a dating/hookup app. They outright say that men are worthless unless they're giving women money or…

Regardless of how you were raised it’s up to you to reparent yourself to have a better attachment style. This followed a statement of "I agree" that made it seem like you didn't understand what I was saying. I have told my male friends that their mothers have done them a serious disservice by making them feel unworthy or incapable and I’m bringing that same mindset to this conversation. Would you ever actually criticize a woman for that kind of behavior, though? Or is the drive to align with the…

There's a number of behaviors, but the most noticeable is acting like women have inherent value but men are inherently worthless unless they make themselves useful to women. Like how men have to "work on themselves" before they're worthy of a relationship, but women deserve a partner to help them through their issues.

A drug addict with confidence to go into high crime areas to get drugs will likely end up attracting more women than a guy who had a decent job in a cubicle who over thinks every word that comes out of his mouth. Maybe, but the drug addict doesn't have emotional strength or strength of character compared to the cubicle worker, so your point in your earlier post isn't correct.

I agree that we should blame shitty parents which includes shitty mothers but if a full grown adult man isn’t putting in the work to overcome that childhood adversity, I think we can blame him because at this point the damage done by the mother is already done. In theory you're right, but in practice it becomes "I will never blame a mother for treating her son like shit, I will instead blame the son."

I think a lot of the validation you get that you call icky isn't actually icky to you, but regardless, the segment of validation that you get that makes you feel good. It's code for feeling socially safe - they want a male partner that their female peers won't insult them for. Most of what makes women afraid is the fear of social consequences, but they will pretend that they fear physical consequences so they're taken more seriously.

They watch it because it is at least trying to cater to them and their options are slim. Aight cool, that entirely negates your criticism of my point. Not sure what this means and I don't see why you think your idea is the correct one over mine. It means that women think of men as "lesser," and find the idea that they have to show them affection as degrading. That's why most women find giving affirmative consent a turnoff.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 06:46 PM

In practical terms a lot of men have a hard time respecting an "equal" woman. Nope. Men do a great job respecting women in my experience; women think men are a burden and have to apologize for their existence by being useful or sexy. Whereas your statement is just something made up by the manosphere, you have no proof of it. If that weren't true, women wouldn't preferentially date men who make more money than them.

It seems like women end up having to do both most of the time: work & cook, clean, etc. It's normal for women to do a slight majority of those tasks because men tend to work longer hours outside of the home. But the perception that it's very out of wack is mostly borne out of anti-male bias in perception.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 06:38 PM

I've seen the reverse - more often nonwhite girls go for white guys, and nonwhite guys are seen as "lesser" and thus it's harder for them to date out of their race.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 06:11 PM

Doesn't having an equal partner sound more relaxing or no? In theory, but in practical terms a lot of women have a hard time respecting an "equal" man, because they think they have inherent value as a woman that makes them worth more than him, all else being equal. Props to the women without this attitude though.

Like you said, many women will risk their lives for a bad partner if he turns them on. That's horniness - which is separate from what percentage of men (for straight women) turn them on. The problem is that society judges men based on their ability to attract women, so men who want to step back from dating and not worry about it are shamed fiercely, and we have a culture where men have to approach women. The funny part is my husband told me his prior partners weren't impressed and literally told him he wasn't a good sexual partner and They probably wouldn't tell him what they wanted, they just wanted to criticize. A lot of women are like this and it discourages men from trying. At that point, it's like "well, I'll get myself off because you aren't giving me enough to work with.

Then why is it a common complaint of women It's also a common complaint of women that they have to do unfair emotional labor in relationships, but men actually do more. Just because someone's complaining doesn't mean their complaint is valid. Why do men complain that the clitoris is comparatively tiny and hard to find? In this very thread, no less. Link? Why do men believe that actresses in commercial porn are actually having orgasms? Sometimes they are.

Most men have no idea what the clitoris actually looks like and how big it is. Citation? Their lack of curiosity and care for women's pleasure is evident all over this thread. Asking women to communicate more is not "lack of curiosity" and "lack of care." It is in fact both care and curiousity. Blaming women for men's ineptitude as lovers is a flex I can't wrap my head around. We're all responsible for our own body first. Some men are just disengaged and lazy or selfish and want to demand written instructions in triplicate so they can blame her for their inability to respond to physical cues. Some men, sure. If you go onto actual areas where people talk about this, communication (the verbal kind) is always held up as the gold standard. It's not something that men (or women) just know. The issue is that you are very neurotic and so you get anxiety when you have to communicate your needs, and blame men for your own flaws, and thus are looking for a situation where you never have to work on yourself by overcoming that anxiety.

They are communicating, some men simply can't or won't pay attention and read physical cues. Nope. Like women who fake orgasms and then complain that their male partner isn't getting him off. You can't get mad if you're lying to him. There's a lot of women who want to blame men for their own anxiety/neuroses, and this is one example. How can an unaroused woman force her labia to swell and her clit to engorge? How can someone who hasn't actually undergone a traumatic event get teary-eyed for a scene? Do you know what acting is? Also, a good amount of women are aroused in these scenes, especially in amateur or kink-based erotica.

We've had this discussion numerous times. Men refuse to listen and do what they want to do anyway, or worse, emulate porn. Nope, the problem of women being shitty communicators is much more prevalent. Men think they know better than women and the moment a woman says "That's the spot, keep doing that" he invariably changes up the rhythm, changes the pressure, or does something else entirely because he thinks women don't know what they want. Only if they know through experience that their current …

It can be relatively pleasurable, sure, but between the average guy's length, and the fact that it takes more focus for a woman to cum than a man and now she's putting most of her focus into moving her entire body, it's not all that worth it. More excuses as to why women starfish. I don't believe it. It's just women being afraid of taking an active role in sex because of anxiety/neuroses, and coming up with backwards justifications for that.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 04:32 PM
-2

Huh? No. If anything it'll make them both feel better because of mutual reciprocal desire. It's that a lot of women don't want to be active in bed because they don't want responsibility; if the sex is bad they want to be able to blame their partner 100%, and not catch any of the blame.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 04:31 PM

With good reason, because men don't pay attention and bring a porn education to the bedroom. Plenty of women do, too, and are equally boneheaded about it. And, more importantly, women bring a romantic comedy sensibility to relationships, which makes them poor communicators, toxic, and abusive. Actresses can not portray sexually aroused women. Yes they can. Most porn sucks though.

"Starfish" is a constant insult, and men routinely complain about their "vanilla" wives because they seem to feel that women are obligated to serve men's one-sided fetishes. Women complain about mens' performance in bed far more.

Most guys don’t actively complain about a woman being a starfish to her, That's because it's generally considered evil in our society for a man to criticize a woman for not getting him off well enough, whereas women are justified in judging mens' performance.

The friendzone is irrelevant to what we're talking about here - it's about how women are socialized to hate men (and boys) from a young age. They hate when men are around, it bothers them just to have them existing and breathing (as your posts show), and they have to come up with reasons to claim there's something morally wrong with men because they can't get away with saying "I think men should be discriminated against just because they're male!" But that's what these women think.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 04:23 PM

From what I've learned, that tends to be mostly pleasureable for the guy. No, it can be very pleasurable for women too. But it requires her to take a bit of responsibility/an active role, and many women are averse to that.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 04:20 PM

I guarantee most guys don't like that, they'd prefer an active partner. It's not coming from guys; it's coming from women who want to make the sex act his responsibility and not hers.

Well that goes to show you how little men understand female sexuality. Men view sex in a very narrow window and cannot comprehend that there are ways to arouse women that don’t involve PIV, or even contact with the obvious erogenous zones for that matter. Massage is arousing, and it can make women climax. But you're saying it can't for men? Why? Men can orgasm/climax hands free if they put their minds to it. Anxiety, fear and lack of self esteem. To a t all men who have trouble with women deal with it using one single strategy....AVOIDANCE. What about this completely unrelated thing huh? How dare you talk about one thing when something else exists that I care about more! The issue is that people who support the idea of patriarchy either say this never happens (I've seen it all over reddit, people saying that women don't enforce toxic gender norms), or that when they do it's just patriarchy, and patriarchy is mens' fault so it's more the fault of the man or boy she's victimizing than her herself. The point is it shows how morally ba…

Alignment could also mean the male partner making the decisions and the female partner carrying them out. It could, but generally it doesn't, because the whole point is that it's normalized for women to set up a dynamic where they are the "owner" of the relationship via shaming. Two people in a home shedding skin and walking around creates more mess than one person doing so. So you’d need to mop more often. You're missing my point. The point is that whatever level of cleaning the male partner's …

What claim am I making that you think you're contradicting?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/23 08:29 PM

It's what I'm talking about - all those things that she claimed she had to do were probably not even asked for or wanted by her male partner, it's just she did them so she could demand things in return. Sounds very toxic.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/23 08:19 PM

I think it is. What were you talking about? Also it's much more common that a female partner controls a male partner's social life than the reverse.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/23 08:15 PM
1

Men are socialized from birth, primarily by their mothers, with the idea that they're a burden and their emotions should be kept bottled up. Why would a "burden" deserve protection?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/23 08:14 PM

It’s about compatibility. There will be no power struggles about how to run the house if you’re in alignment on how it should be run. If alignment means the female partner makes the decisions and the male partner carries them out, then I guess so. The point is that if a guy mops the kitchen floor once a week, his female partner will probably start demanding it be twice a week, even if she mopped it once a week or less when living on her own. And if he starts doing it, she'll start saying he's "d…

This sub reinforced the idea that a segment of women just fucking hate men and want us to suffer.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/23 07:44 PM

First, yes, dating burnout is real for women too and I’m glad someone else says it!! It's often on them. They do things their partner never wanted or asked for and then get mad that they "have" to do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/23 07:35 PM

I've found the opposite in my relationships; I'm the one who puts more effort into them, and I'm a guy. Now, some of these women claimed they out more effort into it, but when you broke it down for them and showed how they didn't they'd get angry and accuse you or "keeping score" or whatever. Like they were just doing.

It doesn't mean men need to hold all guilt but it does suggest that men in particular will need to do some work to help break it down. Uh huh. And what does it say about women who enforce toxic gender roles on men and boys for the benefit of women? It doesn't mean all men are in power It means they believe that all men have power that women don't, and generally leads to bullshit like thinking that poor nonwhite men are entitled and have unfair advantages but wealthy white women aren't. No. Butnat least they might stop treating men who don't have dating success as evil.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/23 04:15 AM

It's so not accurate too. Most sisters with brothers of dating age express lots of empathy and desire to help if there's a good and healthy connection there. I don't have any sisters but I saw more abject hatred than anything else from sisters to brothers. If a brother didn't have success in dating her sister hated him for it because it reflected badly on her.

/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/23 04:11 AM

Maybe you do, but a surprisingly large amount of women have a "my female relatives are important people, my male relatives are disposable." attitude. The higher rate of neglect by mothers to boys rather than girls is emblematic of that I think.

In my experience women react positively towards guys they're attracted to complimenting their body. Maybe she's an exception but I doubt it. The idea that most women dislike being complimented on their body is being pushed in this thread and it isn't true; it depends on who's doing the complimenting.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/23 07:45 PM

Because if you're not attractive to her you're SOL anyway. Also, not all women find the same guys attractive. The point is to find people you are into that are into you that share similar enough values that you can have a fulfilling and lasting relationship.

Not being in a relationship is not extreme stress/trauma and you are incredibly lame if you think it is. It does make your mental health worse, though, and the causative flow is stronger in that direction than bad mental health making your relationship prospects worse.

It's a very big sign of it. Sex drying up in a relationship, starting with anything adventurous, is the prelude to losing affection.

Bullshit. Statistically speaking, also, women find egalitarian men less attractive than sexist men. You have to do a lot more than that. There are plenty of clean, nonmisogynist men who have trouble with dating.

You can't take that seriously. Women tell hyperbolic stories about how hard they have it as a way of competing for sympathy among their female peer group.

Professionally I’ve worked with a lot of men who struggle to form relationships, but they are mostly diagnosed with schizophrenia or another mental illness so not sure how accurate and reflection they are on the rest of the population. That kinda makes sense, since not being in a relationship causes poor mental health. But what stopped them from getting in a relationship in the first place?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 10:39 PM

Because her husband happens to be 8”…twice the size of her ex…..then that means she doesn’t believe her husband is worthy of love? Eh, not really the prompt provided. What if it's blowjobs? Why would she enjoy giving them to an ex but not her current partner?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 10:38 PM

I know it's true for some women. I worked with a few. They also spent a lot of time on reddit because were afraid to go out.

Sure but OP is not supposing a situation in which she was pressured or mislead.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 10:01 PM

That's what you implied. And it fits with the idea a lot of women here have that the men they pick for long term relationships are provider drones not worthy of true love or affection, but who must provide it.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 09:53 PM
5

Maybe you aren't but a lot of women are. Joining new clubs or entering new social circles as a single guy is always going to be harder than as a single woman. That's why women travel so kuch when they're young compared to men, they get a warmer reception.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 09:04 PM
1

Nah, not all of us are like that, don't paint with so broad a brush.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 08:43 PM

IMO it's more that she wanted to keep the first guy more so she was willing to be more adventurous in bed to keep him interested, whereas she sees her current partner as beneath her and thus being adventurous with him is degrading to her.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 08:41 PM

Aight. In the US, it's the norm.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 08:39 PM

If I was into MFM threesomes maybe I'd find it fun, but I'm not. They were willing to see their partner fuck someone else before.

Are you male or female? Where did you grow up?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 08:02 PM

What do they get out of the threesome without doing it with someone they care about, though? It seems like they were more concerned with pleasing the first guy so she agreed to a threesome (MFF I assume). Whereas with her current partner he isn't worth the effort.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 07:53 PM

Because men are told from the time they're little boys by the female authority figures in their life (mothers etc) that that's not the case.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 07:47 PM

who says that the 'good men' in the friendzone are actually good? Well, some of them are. most of the time they're pedestalizing women and using being nice as a dating strategy I thought the problem was treating women as subhuman, if you just treated women like people it would work out?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 07:42 PM
4

Was it? Regardless, then, it's wrong, because the difference between men and women in that situation isn't statistically significant.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 07:38 PM
3

I'm pretty sure it was because of the study, but if it's not that's just bias, because that work was done again, properly this time, and there wasn't a statistically significant difference between men and women getting divorced in that situation.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 07:34 PM
6

Women's hobbies tend to be more productive lmao this is absolute bull It's just because people want single women around, so they're more friendly towards them and welcome them in, and are hostile towards single men.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 07:23 PM
4

Or just that the womens brains are fried on neuroticism and feminism and they can't build good social connection.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 07:21 PM

Nope, that study was retracted. People persist in it because they really want to hate men but it was based on bad science by people who really wanted to hate men.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 07:20 PM

Men are more likely to leave their female partners when they become terminally ill. My parents were already divorced when dx-ed, but doctors give women dx-ed with cancer information about divorce. That's based on a misinformation. That study was retracted and was pushed by people who really wanted to hate men.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 07:20 PM

I need to keep the question somewhat generic otherwise I am giving you the opinion. Except you're going around in the thread saying that some people are "mature" or "correct" so it's clear that you have an opinion you think is right.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 07:16 PM

Why don't they think they would? They don't see you as sexy? What's the reason?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 07:13 PM

No, enough with this shit. If someone says "I see you as a nice partner for the resources you provide but you won't get real affection, unlike the people I actually care about" it's immature and insecure to stay in that relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 07:13 PM
4

No. "Assume it's something they enjoyed previously" is in the OP.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 07:11 PM

Not at all. Women lose attraction to partners after cohabiting and especially having kids, often no matter what they do.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 07:02 PM

Why can’t you just listen to what a woman is fucking saying when she says she’s not comfortable with something. If she's comfortable with doing it with other people and not with you when you're in serious relationship that's a problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/23 07:01 PM

Just because someone doesn’t want to date you doesn’t mean they are disgusted by you. They might not want to take part in the initiation of a virgin when can come with lots of unintentional emotions/feelings. Oh sure, but virgin men also seem to be despised by most women. There's a moral component to it, not just "I don't want to get involved."
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/23 08:50 PM

My reasoning for not wanting to date single mothers has to do with seeing other guys get caught in a fucked-up relationship dynamic where they have to take responsibility for a child but have no power or authority as parents. If that wasn't the case it'd be fine.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/23 08:13 PM

But what good does this knowledge bring to a 165 cm tall man with no career other than depression and suicidal thoughts. It tells him that it's not all his fault; some women are just shallow, and they're judging him for things he can't control. There's a lot of toxic discourse around dating for men that says that if things aren't working it out, it's all your fault because it's entirely within your control. Accepting that some things are beyond you is both correct and psychologically healthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/23 08:01 PM

I wouldn't if there was male-only transport. The issue is that there are women who are put in danger of sexual assault, etc, but I think it's more important to punish people who commit sex crimes while maintaining the public sphere as a mixed-gender place where victimizing women (or anyone) sexually isn't acceptable. Otherwise I'm worried that it will become an increasing norm to treat men as sex criminals, functionally, until proven otherwise, and in a broader sense will inhibit the ability of …

Yes, I'd be a bit hesitant. But I wouldn't despise the person and think they were morally inferior. That's the difference. In my mind, being a virgin at the ages of women I date is probably a red flag, just like having a very high partner count is. But it's not a dealbreaker, it depends on what their values are and what's going on.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/23 07:21 PM

Women don't always judge "virgin men." Women take issue with most men who are passive, asexual, porn-addicted, antisocial, etc. I was under the impression that antisocial behaviors (narcissism etc) were actually more attractive to most women. Regardless, while it's true that not all women judge virgin men, most women do.

Every time we go to the actual studies it seems that these articles are misrepresenting them to paint men in a bad light and women in a better one. Why is there so much lying on this topic? Right, but the reason he caught on was he asserted that men and boys have inherent value and it's worth cultivating. There are elements in our political and cultural sea, mostly on the left, unfortunately, but some one the right too, that hate this idea and want to stamp it out. I'm left-wing, I think by nature; I align more with left-wing politicians on issues. being more risk free going in to long term relationships? What? Anyway, I'm old enough to have seen the Matrix in theaters. The default academic perspective being white, middle-aged, and pro-female/mainstream feminist is well documented.

It's not just that they allow feminist theory. They ban any and all criticism of feminism. It's because they think their audience is mostly male and men don't have the right to criticize feminism, in their eyes, as they're a lower form of life than women.

I have never had posts deleted, been threatened with bans I have. I got banned for pointing out that negative generalizations of men were allowed on the sub, but negative generalizations of women weren't. The mods were infamously tolerant of racism against Asian men. They also brought on a guy who didn't think that female-on-male domestic abuse was worth thinking about because male victims don't matter. They are famously callous towards mens' issues and practice chivalry very hard.

A lot of these studies don't paint the picture because of institutional bias. Any study that paints women in a not-good light is going to be resisted by the establishment.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/23 10:09 PM

I think it's just that they get married later. The studies don't have good ways of correcting for that, in my experience, and educated women are extremely critical of men/more likely to treat them as disposable.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/23 09:34 PM
1

The lowest divorce rate is among batchelor or higher educated people - the worst is poor working class so no you are wrong on that. No, I'm right. The studies you're talking about are within the same class. Also, within the college-educated class, women are nine times as likely to divorce as their male partners.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/23 09:17 PM
2

Every time we actually go to the studies and statistics on this it looks like dads are getting screwed, but there are so many articles written telling dads to man up and be a good provider drone for the mother of their kids, and that all of hos problems are her fault and she's a blameless victim. Something's fishy.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/23 09:13 PM
7

Nope. I work in academia and I don't think a gal needs a fancy degree or a job in my field to be dateable. It's about whether our values are compatible and there's that spark of attraction. I would date that barista if she was attractive, I could have the deep conversations I care about with her, and so on. I've met plenty of women (and men) with degrees who are dumb as rocks. The diploma doesn't mean much to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/23 08:49 PM

I don't agree. The issue is that people often date and then marry based off proximity... so people of the same education level and economic class are more likely to date and get married.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/23 08:46 PM
4

Divorce is more likely for a man if his female partner is of the same or higher "class." A lot of times a woman's career is a net negative for her dateability. I feel this way about schoolteachers - they're always putting unpaid work in and expect you to help them support 30 kids that aren't even yours. Your needs and a healthy relationship get put on the back burner.

The narrative you're presenting doesn't match with my observations of the behavior of (most) women. It's not inexperience that is a turn off. It's lack of self-confidence, Bull, I don't think that's true at all. You're trying to say that women aren't biased against inexperienced men, but a lot of them are, and it has nothing to do with confidence - many women want their male partner to take the lead/take responsibility for sex, and so they want a more experienced partner for that reason. They’d love for the guy to take over the power if he could do things competently the first time, unprompted while asking minimal questions on how to get things done. That's not the power. The power is who gets to enforce their standards on how things get done - and ev…

This is just projection. No, bigots often feel disgust when thinking of the people they are bigoted against. They have enlarged amygdalas, which govern fear and distrust. For all you know, she has tried to cope with these issues but is unable to overcome the emotional trauma she's built up over a period of time. What emotional trauma? Yes, let's all just hold our feelings in if anyone could possibly take any offense to them. Sounds like great advice that couldn't possibly have any negative effec…

There are many ways someone can be a drag on your life, it’s not specifically a gendered thing of course, but women tend to put in more work in long-term relationships. I don't believe this. Remember "I am the table?"

Consistently enough that they don’t masturbate? 2-3 times a week, while insisting their roommates not contact anyone outside the household without a mask, and flying off the handle when called out on their hypocrisy.

Most guys don’t help out without their partner asking first. That's typically because women in committed relationships insist on being the final authority on household matters, with the male partner as subordinate to her. So the men back off, thinking, fairly, that if they want all the power they can take all the responsibility. Many women, however, want their male partners to take responsibility while they retain all the power and the last word. If the woman’s standards of clean are higher how …

This is where men make the mistake. Romantic relationships don’t leave as big of a gap with women as they do with men when you don’t have one. Women turn to their friends. Men don’t cultivate friendships the same way women do, so there is a void. Not what's going on. Plenty of men cultivate friends. The issue is that women in committed relationships will try to prevent their husbands from spending time cultivating relationships, and will instead prefer it if they spend time hanging out with thei…

Regardless, the difference is not that great - there are risks for guys for being in relationships too. And women can get pregnant while single - it just means they're not in a committed relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/23 02:34 AM
1

Overall that call is hard to make because a lot of people are biased and will see a man and a woman being exposed to the same risk and will say that the woman is in more danger because they think women are more worthy of protection.

The issue is that there are often double standards between the sexes as to what constitutes pulling their weight.

Many women, particularly in the 18-25 age range, would rather put-up with the drama and issues of dating a hot fuckboy, over, say, an average-looking skinny-fat shlumpy dude who gives her no grief and the relationship is smooth like clockwork. My younger roommate (A D1 athlete, tall, muscular, but chill and not a fuckboy because he comes from a conservative upbringing. Not politically conservative, just not hedonistic etc) just ended a relationship with his gf because she was complaining that it…

i’ve not met a single woman who truly believed she was hot shit. I definitely have lmao. Couldn't say from personal experience which is more common, men like this or women like this. I wonder if people are more likely to act like they're "hot shit" with people of the opposite sex?

Saying you're grossed out by old dudes isn't a statement that they're deserving of hate It's a way of saying that one hates them, especially when combined with prescriptive behavior for them to pretend they don't have a sexuality. You're trying to shame her for something that's likely not under her control. Are you arguing that bigoted people shouldn't be shamed for the visceral disgust they feel towards the people they're bigoted against? Because that's what amygdala activation is.

In my experience, it's more common to just get the occasional hookup. All of my "single" female friends were getting hookups, even during COVID when they were being "so careful."

Which is why I said that if you don’t see reciprocation after three dates, you cut her loose. I mean I'd say two, but to each their own. But understand that you're going to have the greater financial responsibility in the relationship, too.

It's "lose," first of all. A lot of the same things that women lose, basically - a lot of time and effort while not getting anything back.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/23 08:05 PM

That’s why we’re ok being single. It's also because a lot of women who are "single" are still having regular sex, much more than men.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/23 08:04 PM

I don’t think most men realize that having a partner who doesn’t bring value beyond regular sex and shared rent is a net negative for women. How, exactly, given in your scenario you haven't described how he's a drag on her? Women overall are the ones expected to prioritize their partners’ and families’ interests over their own. Speaking as a guy, this is very much not true. Men are expected to do so too, and oftentimes more than women.

The early dating financials versus partner traits are two separate things in my book. In my book they aren't. Even in relationships, too many relationships get the shitty "My money is ours, her money is hers" dynamic going on. For the reasons that I said earlier, earnings are going to be a tougher ground for men because at a minimum, a woman is looking for her peer. It's especially tougher because, at least in the USA, post-2008 education tends to discriminate against men and boys, and most job …

If he’s holistically average like average income as well then aspects of her life will get worse with no pay off. She’ll be spending more money on groceries because now there’s two people to feed and he most likely eats more than her, statistically speaking her housework load will increase, her mental load will probably increase etc. all in all it’ll be a lot more work maintaining a relationship than being single. You're being deliberately provocative here. She obviously has had some fucked up experiences growing up. It's easy to say someone should just get over it when it's not you who has gone through it. Not a justification to be a bigot. I was abused by an older girl when I was a kid. I don't hate all women, and I think it's wrong to treat them all like they're inherently abusive and that their sexuality is gross. If someone's being a bigot I'm going to call them on it, and they should be called out. …

Kind of amazed this is news but no man or woman of any age should force disinterested strangers to deal with “their sexuality”. Well, it's like how some people are offended when they see a gay couple in public. They see it as "flaunting" it and it makes them mad. But gay people are under no onus to pretend like they are nonsexual in public; they have every right to express that part of themselves. Most people have mirrors and calendars, but even those who don’t would be able to read a room and i…

Do you understand that bodily functions and carnal urges aren't anyone else’s problem? I'm going to presume that you don't think that nobody should hit on each other, ever. So if it's allowed for some people, why shouldn't it be allowed for older men? Are they supposed to pretend that they don't have a sexuality because you think they're gross? I don’t give a fuck if men like tall women or not, why in the hell would a rational, logical person foist their unreciprocated sexual desire on another? …

"Respecting others" doesn't mean pretending that one is a eunuch. You're saying that older men are only lovable as long as they pretend they don't have a sex drive. That's a pretty horrible thing to say; it's clear you have no regard for the humanity of these men. If you were told that tall women need to not express their sexuality in public because they're more gross and threatening than average-height women you'd be livid, but I doubt you'd see the hypocrisy.

Whoever wants a thing the most will do the most work for it, that’s the way it works. Even in the western world half or more women are either conservative, religious, or suffering the lifelong effects of being raised by religious conservatives and they simply don’t have the toolbox to initiate or suffer the very real fear of social repercussions of forward behavior. In my experience conservative women are the most forward (whether or not they're promiscuous). It's neurotic women who are the leas…

You're assuming a lot that isn't true. There's nothing inherently wrong with older men being sexually forward as long as they aren't over the line inappropriate. To think that they're inherently disgusting is rank bigotry.

Those are all actions. You're grossed out by older men existing and having a sexuality. My mom's friends creepily hit on me at certain points, but I don't extrapolate that out to all women and think that older women don't get to have a sexuality.

I've seen them be held by the same person. I mean, hell, the person who runs the stoprape subreddit here on reddit thinks that men don't experience real trauma so male victims of rape are not a priority. Some people are fucking rotten.

40% of infertility is caused by men and older men are significantly more likely to have disabled, autistic and ugly children. Nah. The autism thing has more to do with autistic men having children later and it being genetic. "Ugly"? How are you measuring that? This comment is bullshit.

Most men aren't either. You're going on a bigoted rant, assuming that this group of people you find unattractive (older men) must be morally repugnant as well to justify your disgust and hatred.

People are attracted to attractive people? What's wrong with that? And why are you equating attraction with assault? They're not the same thing at all.

In my case, older men gross me the fuck out. If older men gross you the fuck out just for existing, that's bigotry. People you're not sexually attracted to shouldn't provoke a disgust reaction from you.
