I can confirm that this is true for the german wikipedia. There was a documentary showing, how a few active and influential admins are manipulating articles in a way that fits the pc and progressive agenda. They are connected with leftist ideology, have "jobs" at universities but writing on wikipedia 24/7, 365(!) days a year. OK I get that, but what OP was talking about is, that we build emotional barriers to not get hurt. What I recognize with me also, is that I am quite unapproachable, aloof and have a hard time to connect to people, even harder with women. Going through life with little openness (gestures, words, reactions or expressions). No one fucks with me, but no one really cares (fucks me) either. So learning to be vulnerable and accept rejection or getting hurt in social interactions seems to be good advice…
