Very true. I ate more carbs when I was younger and trying to get big, and still maintained a low bf%. I just don't like the idea of dirty bulking then cutting. Now that I'm older I have transitioned into a more keto based diet. Once you've made the switch your body won't depend on carbs for energy. I just prefer to always maintain a low bf% and my energy feels more consistent this way. I've also been intermittent fasting for my health and longevity. Certainly not the path most would take.

You'll be surprised how much you'll need to eat when bulking up. Just make sure it's healthy food and you can have your fill. Avoid processed foods. Stay well hydrated of course and get plenty of sleep. And again, I swear sugars and fast digesting carbs are garbage. Why do you think western societies have an obesity epidemic? Have fun, gains come relatively quick when your young and new to lifting.

Don't. Apple's are full of sugar. Sugar is your enemy. Eat an avocado instead. Eat lots of protein and fat, and keep your carbs to a minimum and make sure they are not sugar... Then go lift some heavy ass weights. No way around it. That and eat a lot. Calories are your friend, not your enemy.
