My normal CS payment is $2650/mo for 2 kids on 140K base income, it was increased to 3300 because I was $2000 or more in arrears according to DCSS. What got me into arrears is also bullshit. So instead of reporting a higher amount you report a lower amount and just pay less taxes. | 1 | Why can’t child support be a pre-tax deduction?When your employer gets a garnishment order to take money out of your paycheck they could take it out of your gross as a pre-tax deduction similar to how 401K is taken out. Also the money that you pay in to the IRS should be reduced. If make $150,000/yr and you take out $3500/mo in child support, your not paying in $150,000 instead it's $108,000 and you should be taxed at $108,000.
