If you put your body into starvation mode, it will cause even more depression. I know people will roll their eyes, but a hard workout, shower, and some melatonin before bed will help you to actually sleep and that will help your state of mind as well.

I don’t think they look down on you. I think they just know that the situation sucks for you but it’s not like they can do anything about it for you so they just talk about other things with you instead.
