I understand you man. I can't maintain frame either when someone is clearly trying to annoy/bully me. Strange thing is that when someone else gets attacked, I can help my friend and keep a good frame. Maybe we can try and help each other with some tips?

You're right my friend. However, it is easier said than done!

You're probably right. I just have to stay motivated to actually go out and expose myself to uncomfortable situations.

But you ask how do you become comfortable. The answer may be that you never become comfortable. You might always get approach anxiety, you might always be nervous when talking to a girl. Accept it, allow yourself to be nervous and function in spite of it, fighting or suppressing nerves can make it worse, and allowing it to run its course may be the only way for you to overcome it. I agree with that. Let me reframe however: How can I stop acting clumsy when a girl grabs me and wants to dance? You…

Let's just say I'm not looking for advice from people who don't know what HB means ;)

Glad to hear that I'm not the only one with this kind of problems. Well, I'm not glad for you ofc ;) Your advice sounds solid. I need to get over my fear by exposing myself to it. Have you been doing this lately? With succes?

And I appreciate you spending time to try and help me. But what you're saying basically comes down to: don't change. Be yourself and the girls will come. And unfortunately, the girls have yet to come despite listening to this advice all the time...

girls like shy, awkward guys just be yourself This is the typical shit advice I, and many other guys like me, have been given all my life. Yet the same girls who give me that advice are in a relationship with confident, dominant men, often assholes. Not shy and awkward at all. I'm not confident and dominant enough so just staying the same won't be enough, it hasn't been enough all my life. I'm sorry if this sounds rude, but I'm tired of this kind of advice. EDIT: you are right however that women…

So what types of volunteering attract the most women?

While I wouldn't call you handsome, you're far from ugly! I've seen guys which I really think are ugly with beautiful women. I'm perceived as handsome with women yet I have zero succes. What you do and say is much more important. Good looks is a plus (for some women it's more important than for others). That being said, use the tips others have given here on your appearance. It can only help you.

What do you exactly mean by leaving the house? I have a pretty healthy social life, and actually find it hard not to leave the house during my exams. Regarding making a schedule, I've done that in the past. I've even had a girl make one for me. I may stick to it for a day or two, but after that I'm just 'meh, I'm just gonna game/go out/watch TV/... Any tips on making a proper schedule? I realize this is probably the most important thing I can do.

Hey man, you should properly read what I said. The US does NOT have issues with muslims ;)

Sure, a small part of why I feel this way might be caused by fear of change. But there really is a problem. Many teachers in Brussels are afraid to teach evolution theory because their muslim students don't agree with it. Teachers have been threatened by their students/students' families because of this.

Two things. First, I actually support of a declining population for ecological reasons, given that it doesn't happen too fast (for economic reasons). Yet, this is what's happening in Europe. The 'miracle solution' has been attracting immigrants. But this is backfiring as they are costing more (low productivity) and Europe is islamizing. The majority of immigrants is not adjusting to our values enough. This will destroy Europe if nothing happens. And nothing will probably happen because leftwinge…

Nocturnal guy here. just resetted my cycle. I only slept 3 hours yesterday (needed to get up really early) and went to sleep around midnight (00:00 AM). I woke up around 10 AM. So for a few weeks I'll get tired around midnight, but I'll stay awake a bit longer every day. In a few weeks I'll be back at staying awake the whole night and sleeping till the afternoon. I always thought I was just a nocturnal person, but I wonder how much my cell phone, TV and computer have to do with it.

€2000 a month is much more than most starters make! Granted, I'm from Belgium and our taxes our higher than in the Netherlands, but the difference shouldn't be that big. People who get their bachelor's degree (3 years study) generally earn €1300-1500 when they start. People who get a master's degree in university (4-5 years of studying) earn between €1500-1750 (with a smaller group probably earning money closer to the € 2000 mark). Average wages will always be skewed by the people earning absurd…

Belgian's health minister is also obese. She's a doctor but she says she is living healthy and her weight currently has no impacht on her health! Now I have to say she's a very competent person, but she's clearly giving a bad signal to people. http://1.standaardcdn.be/Assets/Images_Upload/2014/12/05/359a5716-7c83-11e4-8b4e-584e2056b2e6_web_scale_0.0686813_0.0686813__.jpg?maxheight=416&maxwidth=568&format=jpg

I haven't read this week's issue, but there was a story about male parenting a few weeks back. It concluded that children are better off when men spent time raising their kids (or were allowed to raise them). So not as anti TRP as you might think.

A girl I've met at some parties (so I barely knew her) asked me the same over Facebook. She asked if I was up for pizza (I always am). Then she asked if I could get it and drive it over to her place where we could eat the pizzas. The bitch thought that her company was worth the effort to buy pizzas and drive to her place. She would've probably tried to get out of the bill. And the sad thing is that other guys actually brag about such things (I got to eat pizza with Kelly! OMG she's so hot!!!)

And why would you reccomend the Austrian school? My country isn't Austrian at all, so our economics coursers aren't either. I do plan to deepen myself in it in my free time though. Any reccomendations on books to read?

I'm also studying economics, public choice is an optional course next year, but it didn't seem all that interesting. But appearantly it is very interesting and useful? Btw, what are you majoring in?

That's what I thought, lots of competition for people who studied maths (and not finance/economics). A job as a macro-economist will probably suit me better. Do you have any idea how much these guys earn?

I'm currently studying economics (so not finance, but related). What did you specialise in? How important are the knowledge of maths, statistics, econometrics etc? Good luck on your job and don't forget to post a follow-up in a few months!

So what are the jobs in finance that pay relatively well, but still allow you to the job with your personal life?

Great read. However, I completely disagree with your desire to fight. Why do you need to fight? It's completely useless. Having said that, I give you a high five for stealing your former bully's girl! The bastard deserves it.

I agree with the op. If bodybuilding is no fun for you, than don't it. But make sure you work out several times a week, no matter what sport it is.

Hmm, I understand. Yet, I get along really well with girl A. I just have fun spending time with her, so why would I dump her then? I don't really know girl B, she's more a friend of girl A.

The gym owner makes his own programs, 90% of people in the gym follow it. My first injury (shoulder) was my fault, I used too heavy weights during an exercise. When it healed I decided to progress slower. Until I felt pain in my other shoulder. Turns out I overdid one of my tendons in the shoulder, don't know how. It never fulle healed and last year I got a knee injury as well, and decided my body just isn't made for lifting. So I decided to do cardio now, so I stay in shape (+ it's actually hea…

I've lifted in the past and got some serious injuries so I stopped doing that. Instead of that I now go running and cycling (in and out the gym) but no lifting weights for me at this moment.
