Granted, and I do agree. But women, while they may generally screw you over and such, can feel good as well. It seems like a case of least cost for pleasure. Thanks!

I'd recommend getting that find started as soon as you receive your next check, friend. Thanks for the suggestions!

I've considered it but I'm not naive enough to think there's nothing left to learn from others hence this post and the purchases of books and classes. You're correct on the latter. Nothing about nihilism is anything to do with what you quoted. Edit: You presume i adopted the MGTOW completely. I haven't, because like you suggested it would point towards suicide. That's why I'm exploring the idea that MGTOW provides, because most people here are doing things despite having a MGTOW mentality so I w…

You've again just chosen to ignore my only point and instead hurl insults. MGTOW; don't build relationships because it is a net loss. I ask why many men here pursue other things that are net losses. Glancing through your post history and it makes sense now. You're just a cancerous little shit that attempts to plague reddit and project their insecurities on others. Not playing your games anymore, go bother someone else. Thanks for the laugh.

Right, but is there is more misery and pain then there is pleasure, then if it is our interest to reduce pain increase pleasure, reducing pain takes priority since it is the larger of the two and that doesn't lead to any healthy conclusions. If it we're the other way around I'd agree, though. Your second point is valid and that's what I've been doing and holding on for. It's good to keep perspective though ans reminders don't hurt so thank you.

You're the one taking the piss. Since when was asking about a movement the same as playing a prank to exploit others empathy? Most would feel obliged to help someone seemingly in pain and bleeding because they seem it the right thing to do. It wouldn't be morally wrong to not reply to a reddit post. No similarities between the two. I have looked at the older posts and there are posts talking about what to do after adopting the MGTOW mindset, but these don't address why the MGTOW principles make …

I will give it a try over the next few weeks. Thanks for the suggestion!

So you'd say happiness is what gives meaning?
/r/MGTOW17/02/17 07:43 PM

Certainly not. I contribute to society and do a lot more than most have by my age. I just hoped to find some meaning in it for a change. If that's not to be I'll just wait until I am no longer useful and choose some sort of honourable death I suppose. Edit; you say you have experience. What changed your mind?

This is a viewpoint I shared for a while, thanks for the response and detail. Natural selection should have killed me off and it will do because my gene line ends here so evolution isn't a metric I can use unfortunately. Those who lay about doing the minimum still have to pay for what they want; controlling the economy. I agree they bring about the end of society faster though, but I would argue that it will end anyway so there's no substance here. I don't believe in God and if he exists then it…

How is that man better? To who? Perhaps to himself but the couch potato will validate their reasoning as well and both think they are superior to the other. What makes western tradition, contributing to the community and looking your best meaningful to you?

So you think pleasure/happiness is the best course of action? Doesn't this form of hedonism presume life has more pleasure than suffering in it? Which risks are worth it if there are no net gains?
/r/MGTOW17/02/17 04:06 PM

Why do these things have more meaning then hedonism? I can see what you're saying aside from the spirit and women things. Not spiritual and think that if a person affected history their gender isn't important unless it's an event surrounding said gender.

You have any alternatives?

How is it an illusion? We can do whatever we like. The issue is deciding what to do out of all the possibility
/r/MGTOW17/02/17 03:16 PM

Thank you for actually addressing the issue. I do see what you're saying but I naturally feel a need to do something important or with meaning. Perhaps it just isn't meant to be.

I've thought about it a lot. How does one come to a conclusion though?

Currently already do this aside frim spiritual stuff because I aren't a believer in it although I do meditate. What's the point of improving ones self for a few decades to deteriorate? Long term that's a negative outcome.

How do you decide what to base your own path on?

Almost regret it to be honest.

And how do you decide those values when it's so abstract?
/r/MGTOW17/02/17 08:01 AM

Not sure how to decide what is worth the investment because nothing seems to be.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
