I'm in the process of starting to lawyer up quietly and such. I haven't reached the point of no return yet ... but I feel you. It's really hard to have that convo because good guys like us have endless amounts of hope or willingness to stick through it for the kids. I hope we both have the courage one day to do what is right for us.... the kids will prosper with a happier father.

I would never agree to my paycheck going into a joint account that she could continue doing whatever she wanted with. I respect that I'm not in your shoes but that was the first mistake. I'm just going thru this myself so NAL: wouldn't not paying what she was agreed to pay be considered contempt?

Yes! I've been planning my divorce using chatgpt ... it's helped me plan and prepare for my exit with the kids. Obviously, when it comes to the actual divorce I will be seeking a real lawyer but for now its way better than googling for research.

How did she get spousal support in TX? Is she disabled? Zero ability to support herself? You were only married for 3 years.... according to my reading: it's really hard to get spousal support in texas and requirement is 10+ marriage I'm curious for my own sake too... about to file!
