I often feel like a lot of people around me think I'm "too thin". Even though i'm in the middle (leaning to the low end) on what my weight should be for my height. I believe healthy for 5'3" is 104-130 if I'm remembering right. I feel like if I traveled to some places in Asia like Japan & Korea most people would probably be around my weight & it's probably hard to find many overweight people & I'd guess almost no obese people. I hate the constant weight loss trends that all claim to know the key to losing weight. & It's just cuz it's a business & they make money off the books etc. Eat same amount of calories & you maintain weight, eat under for a length of time & you lose weight, eat more calories for a length of time & you gain weight. Same. My dad when he was younger was always technically underweight & I think so is my brother & they eat a normal 3 meals a day & will snack. My 85 year old grandpa eats 3 meals a day plus cookies & or ice cream as a snack & is 85 yrs old 5'5" (he used to be taller but shrunk) & is 120 lbs. Me being skinny just seems like genetics.

I eat the same thing for meals as my 180 lbs boyfriend & I'm 5'3" 112 lbs & haven't exercised in a long time. I eat chips, cupcakes, pie, ice cream (in college I'd eat a pint of ice cream in one sitting often), & I can easily eat a whole rack of ribs.

Happy for you! Most people, especially in the US, are way too overweight. That being said I've been 100-115 lbs my entire adult life & I think most people consider me too skinny.
