What it really tells you is that he (your dad) used to think exactly like what he is trying to protect you from and, he thinks, all young guys have that same intention of getting into your pants. It was OK for him to score like that but not any guy with his offspring.

Yup, I found that interacting with some younger women (I've already retired so younger is a relative term here) in the workplace to be a containing experience. One cannot be yourself for fear of corporate retaliation, especially when dealing with some overly-sensitive or some minority women (my personal experience). I re-read the article twice just to make sure I didn't miss the mention of a male role model in their lives and it's a bit disturbing that the author doesn't seem to raise that as a possible factor in what's going on. But, the article's flow is all over the place and, as you mentioned, the things she mentions as "possibly troublesome" aren't really so.

As I remember that election between the Donald & Hillary, a lot of Democrats, including me, were not really Hillary fans and the whole "gotta put the first woman in the White House thing" really didn't motivate us to vote for her (not because it was a woman vs man issue) but BECAUSE she really didn't impress us as being honorable. But, in the end, she was the Democratic candidate and the choice was her or Yellow Hair and she was the definite lesser of two evils.

Obstetricians (no particular gender here) stopped giving the synthetic estrogen DES, not estradiol which is the naturally produced estrogen which is cleared from the body at a quick rate unlike synthetics. Yes, that's DES, a notoriously troublesome synthetic estrogen. How it was incorrectly used by many physicians is also historical fact. Modern birth control as well as newer synthetics (& combinations) used for HRT in older women have reams of collected data by Pharma as it's required that all released pharmaceuticals have to be monitored by the releasing company. Getting prepared for living in some future world after some crisis has forced societies to completely lose "normal" living behaviors and are forced to adopt "survival mode tactics." The fractured divide between the sexes on what is important in those "adoptions" is what the article is about. Interesting read but I think it's naive to think that a lot of these folk understand the mental stresses that will probably accompany what's left of a society that's forced into "crisis" mode.
