I too can extrapolate my finite observations to encompass the entirety of human behavior and bask in the surety that I don't have to wonder anymore about whether or not different people have different values and motivations.

You don't see a difference? Is looking at a picture of food the same as actually eating it?

That sounds logical. I guess that's the price of high competition. Dating market sure can be dehumanizing tho.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/24 04:04 PM

It's good to date someone who is good with emotions in general. Good for the soul. Still, being a nice guy alone is usually not sufficient to be "the one".

I think it's just emotional investment. Bit of a sunk cost fallacy going on.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 05:41 AM

There are of course people who practice what they preach in members of either sex. There are men & women with principles, and men & women who are self-serving swindlers. The only way to make that distinction is by getting to know that person and seeing whether they reciprocate or abuse your trust and your effort.

Golddigger videos get views. That's literally it. They would rather hire actresses on Craiglist to say exactly that rather interview real women. My gf isn't a golddigger and her roommate isn't either. We all recognize relationships and homebuilding as a collaborative effort. Would it be nice if one of us was rich? No doubt. But if you only want to look for a rich spouse you probably would need to bring SOMETHING to the table other than functioning genitals and an average personality.

Men and women are roughly equally numerous... if this is the case on dating apps then every matched woman should mean a matched man, unless many women are matching with the same 6ft millionaire Adonis.

Dude if you want power maybe try get promoted at work or run for president or buy a pizza franchise? But yeah sure being powerful is good but you don't have to constantly keep track of your points in a functioning relationship. Honestly you sound completely disillusioned with human altruism and friendships. Maybe find a hobby group and socialize with some cool people. The way you view the world right now sounds like a terribly cold and lonely way to live.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/23 12:32 AM

By this logic I guess any woman in a committed relationship with a mid-looking dude is a sucker? What a depressing and simplistic way of viewing human beings.

Adoption can actually cost upwards of $35k in North America, unfortunately. Adopting abroad may be cheaper, but may also involve more bureaucracy. I think current systems make it too easy for parents to birth a child for the wrong reasons, and too difficult for parents to adopt a child for the right reasons.

It's a running joke in China how any man without a house and a car shouldn't expect to get married. A lot of families are spending their little accumulated generational wealth, even borrowing money from relatives, just to help their only son buy a house to make them eligible for marriage. This is not always the case. Anecdotally, the daughter of my aunt's friend is a entry-level government bureaucrat and has a boyfriend who is employed in a less stable job whom she lavishes with gifts. Her mum i…

If you don't feel any comradery from your SO then you probably are with the wrong person. Your girlfriend should be your best friend as well. If you don't feel safe, trusting and secure around them, there's no point in having any sort of partnership. The intimacy is a nice bonus, but like you said the comradery is so much more important.

Thank-you for linking the post. That said I visited and all the top comments are NTA and not blaming him so it seems the majority of people do see it from a rational light. Class warfare is all that matters. We live in the most socially mobile caste system, but it is still highly restrictive. Everyone believes in equality of opportunity at the very least, but there is a great deal of improvement to be made in the system for working class families of the world.

You know it's interesting because I think a few of us here shared the same viewpoint as these guys when we were adolescents and teenagers. Just a lack of realisation of what qualifies as victimhood due to expectation of gender norms. People need to be educated on this.

I'd say it has to do with a lack of confidence. The balance of power in a relationship. Generally speaking men will be intimidated by a high status woman and feel particularly vulnerable to scrutiny. Likewise, a woman generally prefers to marry up rather than down for financial security, and marrying a man from a lower income bracket may lead to resentment from failing expectations. Historically men have always been the primary breadwinners and in most societies that is still the expectation. Ho…

Honestly I feel like they should just ban tourists from going near 100 meters of a guardsman and make it punishable by fine. It's pretty unpleasant for the guardsman to be hounded by gawkers all the time and it feels like it's only a matter of time before someone gets seriously hurt. Most likely the tourist. Honestly though the Mr. Bean films made it seem like not a big deal to bother a guardsman and I think a lot of people still remember it that way when they see one of them.

Alright so how does one prove the intent to instigate violence? There have been cases in the past where people were intentionally goaded into fights and slain in "self defense", but I think in this event the woman was just being trashy but the responsibility for this outcome ultimately lies on the man who held the knife. Clearly such a person is mentally unstable. As despicable as both these people are, the only murderer here is the man.

Tbh men are probably one of the biggest obstacles to men's rights. The way a man sees other men as competitors rather than friends in our very much dog-eat-dog world.
/r/MensRights17/04/18 02:17 AM

Why do friends fuck other men’s SOs behind their back? Are humans just shitty people or are most people terrible friends or are good friends hard to find, in which case why keep them at all?

The stupid thing is the Swedish government. As refugees, I don't think it is unreasonable for them to expect long-term positions in society (as professionals hired to do work for which they have acquired the necessary technical skills) but the Swedish government is just accepting them en masse without any regard for their future roles in Swedish society. I disagree that they WANT that. The leftists are just deluded and naive about the nature of cultural integration. As for the leftist politicians who want a larger voter base it would be a different story. And that seems to imply that 1% are leftist schemers, but lots of 1% are just just regular joes who went to school and got a high income job, wanting nothing except to work and retire early. Rape accusations are just thrown around like used tissues these days. Maybe for inconclusive ones without hard evidence we should just give both parties the benefit of the doubt and issue restraining orders to both defendent and accuser.

Edit: nothing to insult anyone except you.

Whoa whoa. Is the implication here that more average-looking or ugly women have better personalities? Hmmm. That would make sense. Ugly women would be pressured to compensate for their looks by putting more effort into the way they live and would find it more difficult to sleep with Chads all the time. Unless they do. I dunno. What do you think?

My mom's a unicorn I think. My dad is the manipulative one who throws tantrums in my house and she is the one who has to apologize every time. (Eg. Pistachio shells left in a bowl on coffee table. Dad tells her to empty it. She says later. He gets mad and says "fine let's live in a pig sty" and deliberately dumps a cup of coffee on the carpet.)
/r/MGTOW17/12/16 09:53 PM
2

That's a good point. I think you're probably right in saying the son would have hated his mother anyway. However I just don't think the father should have told his kid that maliciousness, especially considering in the end she let them have the house (which is shockingly not sociopathic for once). Also, the dude isn't defending the woman. He's just saying the dad is not being a role model. Obviously the emotional ramifications of the divorce has something to do with it.
/r/MGTOW17/12/16 09:46 PM
1

Yeah I felt like the dad was pretty selfish for playing the son against his mother like that. He was just stoking flames. Kid was already going through shit just like the rest of the family. His dad was just getting petty revenge at the expense of his son's emotional health. The woman is a whore but the dad isn't someone I'd hang out with either.
/r/MGTOW17/12/16 09:40 PM
1

I can't agree that what the husband did was right. He should have let the kid guide himself to that conclusion. Lots of women poison their kids against divorced dads but mirroring that move as a man isn't any better.
/r/MGTOW17/12/16 09:36 PM

It was kinda unprecedented tbh.

/r/MGTOW17/12/16 09:33 PM

To be fair though, saying that all women are intellectually inferior to men may be a little too absolute. The last 2 valedictorians at my high school were both overachieving women with good grades. I can't speak for their personality, but I'm certain it took them no small of effort and smarts. Not saying that women are better. Just that particular individuals can excel. Still not planning on marrying any one of them, though.
/r/MGTOW16/12/16 04:30 PM

Should alimony payments be canceled after a fixed period or after paying a certain amount? It just seems like a serious reason for the lucky ex not to work or contribute to society. Even welfare has limits. Permanent alimony is complete horseshit regardless of who is the victim.

Good. She can be a bit pushy and naggy, but she is a good woman. I think despite our occasional, petty conflicts I am lucky to be part of a family that cares about me. My mom and my dad are both good parents and they both have characteristics which I admire. For people whose parents were neglectful or selfish, I sympathize greatly. I imagine that has a major detrimental impact on character development. Some people become stronger and independent while others crack, but it's just a horrible thing…

So you're telling me there's hope for genuine companionship? Nice :,)

I have no idea why your mother would do that. If I married a single mother with 2 kids my mom would be really depressed. This MGTOW thing is pretty convincing and the idea of being a bachelor sounds great, but geez... my mother is a good woman and I love her dearly even if I'll never another woman on this earth. Edit: im not disparaging your decision, you obviously made the right choice here, no doubts about it. Your mother is... weird, though, because I dont see what she is trying to get out of…

I get the impression that she is quite controversial. But most MGTOWs are right-wing, correct?

I think, despite all our talks of racial equality, single mothers are generally looked down upon... Black single mothers, even more so.

As a non-white person, it boggles me how some minorities can call other people racist and at the same time be racist towards other minorities.

Question: if I go to an underdeveloped country in a rural region, would it be easier to find a woman with old world values? Theoretically speaking.

Thank-you. So based on hard statistics, the risk/reward for pursuing a marriage is just not worth it... that's unfortunate :( are these stats the same in every country? Actually I'll look it up myself. Thanks again.

Thank-you for your warning. But is it really fair to say that more women are just manipulative whores these days as compared to previous decades? It's just hard to believe that a different culture could evolve in such a short time.

But dude. She hauled ass and left. Clearly she didn even shout a warning to all the innocent people standing around her because none of them ran. She left them all to die. No one is blaming her for refusing to be bulletfodder but she does deserve shame for leavinf everyone else to die when all it would take is a single RUN.

Women in general, methinks, are like this. My Asian mom is always extremely cordial and warm with everyone, but in private she confides how she really feels about certain people. In our culture it's just better to be on speaking terms with as many people as possible in case you need to call in a favor, so it's not worth antagonizing anybody you don't utterly despise. Eh. To be honest I think it's a practical approach. Uhhhhhh... not being manipulative, just making sure you don't get on anyone's …
