Just because a wealthy minority had power doesn't mean most women did. Sure, some women did have great power but not most. Most were expected to stay home, bear children and take care of them. Nothing else.

I think their argument is that they weren't allowed to choose what they wanted to do and who to marry. They weren't allowed in government, they couldn't choose their profession, they weren't taught in schools at the onset or allowed in college etc. And I think every human regardless if they choose or are forced to fight for their country deserve equal rights in choice, access and treatment. While I agree with most of this, women were treated differently back in the day. More akin to property than humans with wants and needs. Men are in dire need of help today, they are oppressed in certain areas but let's not act like women had it easy back in the day. Each had their own struggles, men and women. Just like today but the struggles are different and we need to support each other, understanding each other's struggles.

It depends. If they both agreed to separate then that's partially on your dad as well as your mom. Two parents that argue and fight often, especially if it's near the kids then that's way worse than them being separated. However, if your dad did ever ask to come and see you or have joint custody and she refused then yeah that's fucked. As long as they could behave around each other long enough to swap you then that should have been fine.

Not to mention the wage gap is based on a horrible stat list. It compares total earnings, not a position by position bases. Of course the Manager of a warehouse will make more than a bagger at a grocery store. That's not good stats or how you compare anything. But yet that is how thw wage gap myth was formed, someone just took ALL the earnings of men and ALL the earnings of women then said women make less for the same job as men which is not true.

I partially agree with the top comment but if she wanted to have an abortion, you still need to tell the father. You know the risks when you have sex, it is now both of your responsibilities. If you didn't want to have a kid, you should have taken preventative measures. If you're pregnant, you owe it to the father to tell him and what you want to do.

I agree, men seem to be demonized for being just men. Look at yesterdays example of all the boys being made to apologize for one person's mistake who could only relate to them due to gender. I am curious to the study that you're referencing that says people view men as worthless and bad. Could you link it to me?

Maybe he felt trapped, maybe she threatened divorce or let her see other people. So while he agreed to the open marriage the other option was worse. If we don't have proof then we shouldn't go throwing aroubd accusations and just assume. Just like with rape cases that we fight for here, we shouldn't be throwing around accusations that someone cheated unless it's proven that she did.

Me too! I'm a strong advocate for men's rights but I'd hate to twist stories and facts (or straight up lies) like we see the extreme feminists do. My friend said they agreed to an open relationship so if that's true then she didn't really cheat and Will should have expected her to date other people. However if she said that about helping a 23 year old guy then that's messed up but still not cheating.

If we are to have true equality then men can and should be able to retaliate against women. Imagine if someone put up an ad like this but instead put "dead beat moms" and other negative things describing women. There would be an outrage but it's fine to slander men.

It's actually a male teacher saying this. But he advocates for higher teacher wages and says "the bottom 50% of college graduates go to teaching" so he would probably say it's because the less qualified go to teach and that men are just dumb. But it would still be interesting to ask!
