Sometimes a topic will come up in conversation and I automatically go into the mode of explaining it as if the person I'm talking to doesn't know anything about it. That happens far more often when I'm talking to a woman than a man. Obviously I try to avoid doing it and I don't do it as much anymore but it does still happen and a lot of people do it all the time.
