Every conversation I've had with a conservative is like this too. They can name every transwoman athlete that exists but suddenly have never heard about (and thus immediately dismiss) Trump's fake electors scheme or ICE kidnapping US citizens.

Which is why "incel" is their go to insult. They think it's the deepest cut possible.

I agree, women are the central focus of society.

Yeah it's my fault for thinking a con could be consistent. Shows the state of the sub that you feel comfortable here.

Quotes from the literal leader of American conservatism is a straw man....notice the pretzels you have to twist into to not question anything. No one has ever accused conservatives of consistency. the left loves suppressing wages and keeping the working class down. And yet you scream strawman, get the fuck out of here. Stop infecting leftist spaces with your useless drivel.

So your actual issue is when the boogeyman is something you can identify with. Typical conservative mindset, only matters when it's you directly. The right blames everything on immigrants but you don't question it at all. "They're eating the cats, they're eating the dogs" no questions. "We need to exterminate trans ideology" no questions. Openly peddling conspiracies, no questions. "The next revolution will be bloodless, if the left allows it to be" no questions. Keep going or...?

Is there not a similar phenomenon from the right for you?

If he was such a good role model you would've been able to say something not about his brain dead politics. Being unapologetic is not inherently a virtue moron. Clint on Trump's racism:"just get over it" wow cool role model. You like his movies because they make you feel like a manly man and you just can't let that go (or realize it's not fucking real) because you are attached to the prison of traditional masculinity expectations. It's pretty pathetic tbh.

Anytime actual crime statistics are brought up showing by men are far more likely to be victims of violence, the response is always "by other men 😏" as if that makes it better? Like who is getting beaten and robbed walking away thinking "at least they had a penis too" Could it be that men are targeted more because they are valued less? Attacking a woman the same way is seen as a greater crime for some reason.

targeting men just because they’re men Yes they are, that's the whole reason why women are targeted less. They are misandrists who prefer to attack men because they are seen as disposable. As if the same-sexness of the criminal makes it better somehow? Y'all are so weird.

My gf has had two therapists try to poison her against me, one suggested she "Try at least a month apart just to see how it feels". Luckily, she is madly in love with me and dropped them immediately but it always deeply disturbed me.

That gay women exist in gay bars and hit on women. It wasn't clear you were exclusively talking about from men.

Party shifts happen at the local level. You do the work locally and then you vote for the best we get every bigger election. Absolutely insane and infuriating that people still don't get this.

A large part of why I quit the industry is the double standard. Not so much with expectations but harassment. I've seen guests thrown out immediately for calling a server pretty. I've seen the entire kitchen clear out and beat on a guy that touched a server's arm. Yet I was supposed to just deal with being groped and objectified nearly every week.

Why do mens spaces always end up with incel rhetoric? I thought this space existed to get away from that.
