Yeah I agree the severity of the crime is not as heinous because there's no premeditation (1st degree). But the stretch is to call it 3rd degree manslaughter. This was not some innocent accident. They tried to carjack him, and seeing as he was hanging on to the car for dear life, the reckless disregard of human life is clear as day.
