Yep. The challenge is budgeting properly. When a nice check comes in that clears all the current bills and you're left with something over, it's hard to not want to upgrade the things in your life. People get bored and there's always a nicer apartment or a faster car right around the corner. My issue is spending little bits here and there; video games on sale, going out to eat for lunch, little things from Amazon , etc. Those things are ok but they add up and make it hard for me to save. The thi…

I think the gaming is a big block because a lot of women are shown the idea of a guy being a jock and constant go getter as being ideal. I get that, but I think that it's so much harder to portray how a man should make you feel along with what he does. So like, it's ok for him to like sports and drink beer but sit in front of a computer playing CS and it's a bad look. But hey, people figure it out eventually... Or they don't.

That's what a lot of guys want. If you want a lady be prepared to pay a lot more though lol. The key is to find a woman who is good with your current situation. You lay it out that your life isn't intending on changing, so she should be happy with that. So for the guys out there: get your fun locked in before you get locked in. Want to do motorcycling? Get the license and the bike before the relationship. Let them know up front it isn't a phase. The kicker is that women who are accepting of this…

That's a good guideline but it only applies when you have choice. The current situation for most people is that they don't have a choice in the matter. Rent is what it is and unless you're going to drive 2 hours one way to work every day you're going to pay a lot in rent. If you live where nobody wants to travel to it's easier to do, especially if you have roommates, but adults typically don't want to live like that so again, not really an option.

All of the comments here have tackled this from so many angles; my take: even people who look great still suffer sadness from other things in life. Being attractive doesn't magically make your life easy, it just changes how some people interact with you. It doesn't make you smarter, it doesn't make you funnier, it doesn't make you better at a job. It just changes how some people interact with you. But I can tell you from experience that people respond better to me if I treat them kindly, and how…

So there could be some external stresses on you that you're not addressing. When there are things that are bothering us, real issues, that we don't address, they're going to come out in ways we don't expect. How's the wedding planning? Are you guys doing any of that together? Do you feel overwhelmed? My wife got a bit irritated during that time because she felt I wasn't helping her enough and it came out as frustration. That + random things that I actually did turned little questions into argume…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
