Very clear thank you. I could imagine it was something like that, but as a completely oblivious outsider the thought to think about it never occurred to me. It is like I tend to believe, being shitty is a human thing, not a "specific group" thing. Note: I am also completely aware there non shitty people, even great people, and I adore them all when I experience them.

People, seriously, it is totally unnecessary of her to say like she does, but she even explains what it means "macho culture in groups is scary, unpleasant, and just annoying". Some might just view it as a lesser of two evils from their point of view, and some might not agree but still identify with the group. But by God, if you didn't make one hell of an argument there. It's more or less impossible to really counter. edit: aren't women by nature less confrontational than men? That could explain a bit. And there are the few that go up against it, but not many enough, and they shout much lower, it's not always easy to notice them.

Be as bad as you say they are, that'll fix absolutely everything. Great. C'mon man, you know that this is not the norm, this is just the loudest minority of them. Just like when you hear about Muslims it's usually in a bad light, but 99% of them are good people. Don't let the minority affect your opinions this much.
