As an atheist, I can be described as not using one source for all of my beliefs. The christian bible says that it is wrong to kill people and I can't think of any serious source of information that disagrees, so for that and other reasons I choose to believe that it is wrong to kill people. Refuse to leave? What's the worst that could have happened? Looking at the door to the changing rooms is not illegal, so if the police get called, they would either do nothing or at worst ask you to leave, which is just the same as what already happened. Probably true, but I seem to recall learning something about coal miners having been put in the situation of being indefinitely in debt because, among other things, they'd have to buy their own equipment - so they would have been hardly more than slaves, no matter what color their skin was.
