Whether it's because of the patriarchy or not is irrelevant, as true Feminism should be about equality and so true feminists should still care about dismantling traditional gender roles and societal expectations that harm men, however unfortunately many seem to be disinterested or outright opposed to anything that would benefit men

"All men are misogynistic" they say then proceed to get annoyed when men disagree with them "All feminists should be communists", correlation where??

Cool..now put the headline in reverse and you'll see something that already happens

These people are more interested in pissing off men than women's rights in Middle Eastern countries btw

Men are also disproportionately victims of violent crimes

"123 years until we achieve gender equality" I bet is going to be interpreted by many as "Men are evil opressors"

If the left were less obsessed with identity politics and hating certain groups of people they deem to be "opressors" I'd find it a lot easier to support them coz on a lot of issues I lean centre left

Less support for male victims of poor mental health and less general empathy from society as a whole

Winning a case like this shouldn't be 'landmark', it should be normal

The Left (as a whole) doesn't care about men and in many cases actively despises them, the Right (as a whole) pretends to care

Every thing bad in society is a systemic failure due to insitutionalised racism/capitalism/imperialism/patriarchy etc.. Unless men are the victims, then it's their own fault apparently

Also it turns out, demonising men and treating them like they're all misogynistic incels just makes them hate you even more

The irony is, this is the kind of thing that leads to young men becoming the thing they are trying to avoid

Except we aren't used to privilege because In many (not all) cases we don't have it

The issue is feminist discourse in the West has primarily become about demonising men whilst ignoring countries where women are heavily oppressed- e.g. Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan

I'm sure this kind of thing is taken seriously and not just passed off as a joke am I right?

"Forced into sex"- they mean rape?
/r/MensRights09/03/25 09:28 AM

In 2024 there were 67,000 recorded rapes in the UK (unclear what number was committed by men) and about 33.1 million men so no: All men are not rapists

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
