1	Does anyone else (particularly Millennial men) feel men were told for a long time to critically examine their looks standards for women, only for this messaging to suddenly and silently disappear when it was discovered circa 2012 that women are no less looks-focused than men? Everyone who looks bad copes about their looks. This isn't so much a gender issue as it is a status one. Expectations for gendered atttactive presentation used to be stronger on women. Instead of reducing the selection pressure on women, we've increased it on men. Whatever. This is one of the few things I'm more of an essentialist on. People aren't going to wake up one day and start finding you attractive, even in a more egalitarian world.
