Its hard man. But doing the right thing always is. If we're not striving to make ourselves better than them and simply going tit for tat then we are just them with a different name. I like to see the good in people. Even them. Id like us to be better than whats expected of us.

I agree its terrible. I said there are people among them who you can talk to. But my real point is lets be better than them. Just because theyre misandrist assholes doesn't mean we should match that energy and be misogynist assholes. Hating women isn't what this movement is about. Lets be better than them and show them what we should be striving towards instead devolving into petty point scoring.

Fair enough but I still disagree with your assessment of whether we should care how are percieved. We are already being written off by many as some Nazi hate group as it seems like you already know. Honestly this movement will thrive or fail based on PR so yeah carefully curating our public image is important imo.

I dont think this has anything to do with how masculine or feminine seeing as both sides do it. I think the wider question we need to ask ourselves is what are we hoping to achieve with this movement. For me (and I imagine most of us) its because there are mens issues that arent being addressed or blatantly ignored. Whilst on the other hand the hypocrisy being that there are plenty of women only spaces. Its my belief that this hypocrisy is long term damaging to the end goal of equality and justi…

Good for you. I mean you probably should if there are members of our community making us look like a bunch of woman haters. Thats not what this sub stands for.

Ive noticed a fair amount of it over my time being here. The times ive tried to call it out ive been ratio'd hard. Tbh though its an interesting parallel to the r/feminism because for all the jaded man hating insanity over there (of which theres a lot) ive actually had a lot of good debates and conversations with people. Same here. But I agree with what others have said. Just report it en masse when you see it because it does let the side down when people act like stereotypes.

I dunno man. As a biman myself I have to ask what the problem is. 63% of women are turned off by that fact? Fair enough. Preferences are just that. I cant force them to feel a certain way about it nor should or would I try.

This is a really weird take. As someone who dabbles in bdsm theres a heavy emphasis on trust and want to be there. Noones being psyopped into being dommed. Personally, im a big guy, and it's very rare that I get challenged physically. The power balance shift is fun even if it is just RP. Posts like this make me worry that this sub is actually full of incels like everyone else claims.

When I was sexually assaulted by the hen parties at my uk based nightclub job when I was 20, I got the very progressive "What are you gay?" From my manager. Funny thing was they did like to think of themselves as a bunch of progressives but obviously only in the ways they thought people would pat them on the back for.

women are not capable of giving you that - they want YOU to take care of their emotions, they will never do the same for you To reiterate i'm calling out comments like this. Dehumanising women and trying to perpetuate the us vs them mentality. I am not calling you or anyone, even the comment i'm responding to an incel. I agree its an easy buzzword used by opponents generally to silence good debate and dissenting point of view. I'm saying that is what people who want to discredit this movement wi…

The women I associate with in my life are some of the best people I know. Both friends, family and ex lovers. I understand that there are some horribly vindictive ones with their own agenda but thats not really the issue I was taking up. I think you may think I was responding to the one above the one I was actually responding to because I am sympathetic to the former but the latter is making the claim that women are unable to make a human connection and be emotionally supportive and are infact j…

Bro cmon. Its comments like this which is why everyone says this sub is filled with Incels. You cant paint all women with the same brush because there are some vocal nutters online and youve maybe had some bad experiences in your life. We would argue vehemently that they are wrong if they said all men were rapists etc so lets not be hypocritical. Preparing myself for downvotes.

While I understand your frustration and the fact of the matter is they may never come around, but thats not why we do it. We do it because its the right thing to do. Simple as.

Maybe so but I believe in leading by example. Tit for tat gets us nowhere. I support womens and mens rights to choose. If some women are yet to catch up to that line of thinking, it still shouldnt stop us standing up for what is right and not sinking to their level.

Unfortunately mens rights seems to have become a buzzword or 'dog whistle' as the kids like to say for being some kind of nazi. It just seems mad to me as the concept of mens rights is so innocent at its core (men have some issues women dont face and need a space/ advocacy group just like women do, simple as) but has been twisted to suit various peoples agendas. I try not to argue with anyone on reddit these days as its like 99% self righteous loons for one cause or another. Noone wants to under…

The fact that she didnt respond after just shows she was just knee jerk reacting to your post and didnt really have a point. If anything id say shes probably realised her hypocrisy but is too proud to admit it. In short. I wouldnt sweat it.

Awful lot of “Josh you serious?” Coming from round the bus though, which sucks because matey was just assaulted minding his business and had every right to twat the joker. Yeah noone ran in but the whiteknight vibe is still there. Everyone probably saw josh swing and figured hed mash them up too.

This makes me happy because I always thought that album about her breakup was creepy. Like that one line from Someone like you (or the whole song for that matter. So this guy who you broke up with has moved on (got married even) and then one day you show up at his door and start saying this... Ex opens door “Oh err hey Adele.. what are you doing here?” ”I hate to turn up out of the blue, uninvitedBut I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight itI had hoped you'd see my faceAnd that you'd be reminded…

However you define it I wouldnt say this woman falls under the purview of feminism. Call her what she is, a horrible piece of shit. Like i said in the title thankfully most of the people in the replies both male and female are calling her out on her bullshit. What upsets me is the amount of likes she does have. Were still fighting a battle with some ignorant people to understand what true equality means.

Watch it again. Im not saying he wasnt looking to throw a punch because at the end of the day we will probably never know his intentions for sure and he does do some tell tale signs like pulling his trousers up. But when he gets a hold of the girl and starts pushing her away, blue shirt has a pretty good chance to make his exit. At that point blue shirt throws a cheeky sucker punch and as we all know at that point it is on.

I wouldnt say he was white knighting in that second one. He was trying to get the girl out of there when blue shirt sucker punched him. At that point id say he was more defending himself than the girl.

Im not defending her specifically. I agree, play stupid games get stupid prizes. Im just saying that as the sober figure of authority in that situation that cop acted unprofessionally and punched someone who could have been dealt with in a less violent manner.

Effective, sure but definitely excessive. He could have easily grabbed her arm or something. As i said before the force the cop used on her was disproportionate to the force used against him.

If he was standing up for a guy is that white knighting or does he have to be gay in that case? My take on this is that it was excessive. Not saying she has the right to slap anyone but cops are meant to show some restraint. She was already being manhandled by several massive cops and was of no threat to any of them. Yes she got a couple of love taps in and by all means charge her for assaulting an officer but fgs dont bash her face in over it. Also just to make my point clear. I would say this …

Woah there i think you're mistaking me for someone taking a stance on the matter. I couldn't give a flying fuck what a bunch of randomers online say about anybodies genitals. All I'm saying is this is the internet and people talk a lot of shit here. Thats just how it is, don't let it ruin your day.
